Hello Sveedies.
Whilst having a tinker with my phone, and noticing also that the upper portion of the screen in from of the camera lens can become VERY hot from time to time, I have come across a multitude of Sensor fields relating to temperature. Now, the field that says "Battery", well I'm OK with what this refers to, but with the others, I need some help. I've asked Google and she tells me nothing. The fields that I would like to know the references to are:
bms
quiet_therm
xo_therm
xo_therm_buf
pm9837_tz
tsens_tz_sensor0 through to tsens_tz_sensor9
Any clues would be mucho appreciated, please and thank you.

Hi guys,
Please download and watch the 2 videos i made and try to reproduce it if you can.
On the keyboard i'm """literally barelly/not touching"""" the screen.
On notes, drawing that slowly i get that. Already tested on another unit and had the same problem...just wanted to see if i'm not alone here..
This is unpleasant... If you already noticed the problem please do coment if you fix it or...
I did calibrate the screen, messed with reg settings but nothing changed.
I'm just trying to see if this is software related or hardware related.
Thank you !!

Very strage...
about the second video, what happens if you move the finger rapidly on the left portion of the screen?... are the results identical to the results of the right portion (as you did in the beginning of this video)?...
if you encountered this with another device, it's probably reparable via software upgrade... I hope...
unfortunatly it does the same thing be it left or right
on both devices.
It's an alignment problem. Try realigning the screen, touching as lightly as possible on the crosses and not moving your finger until the cross moves. No worries. Mine did the same stock and never after I realigned.
Drawing
I was resigned to living without the ability to draw on my HD2 but I just tried drawing in notes and was pleasantly surprised that it works quite well, even with my fat fingers.
solved?
was this solved by the realignment?
no, it helps a bit, but still not 100%. Whatever I do, I can always make the keyboard go crazy. The touchscreen needs a better driver.
There are a number of places in XDA forums which discuss a JasJam touchscreen issue, where the screen appears to be pressed and carry out some actions, although the screen itself hasn't been touched, ie, this thread (back in 2007): http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=287824 and this YouTube vid is identical to my issue: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YWAyRLQ01oo
A few years has passed since the above material - was wondering if any additional solutions could be found, like reduce CPU use, remove screen, etc.
Sorry to hijack an A3000 sub-forum with what appears to be an issue on A3500/A5500 Lenovo tablets, but seeing that there is no other place to post this I decided to go ahead and do so here. If the admins chose so, please move to a more relevant sub-thread. Please bear with me as I describe the issue below...
So I bought this A5500 the other day and was immediately confronted with what -as found at a later stage- appears to be a widespread issue on Lenovo's A3500/A5500 tablets. The issue is quite easy to replicate and is clearly evident when scrolling through a page with the finger in direct and constant touch to the screen. In this case the flow is jumpy and non-continuous as shown in the video below.
Link inserted here, however since I'm a new member I'm not allowed to attach as an external link, hopefully pasting as text link is allowed, however functionality is obviously hindered somewhat...Sorry about that, nothing I can do on my front. Please remove respective spaces from the link below to view the video, thanks.

What strikes me most is that I couldn't find any mention of the issue anywhere on the internet, seeing that it has obvious knock-on effects even on sketching a simple vertical line as shown above. So this happens only on the vertical axis, on almost all of the Lenovo A3500/A5500 devices I could get my hands on, even on the display / demo units found on major retail stores in the vicinity of where I live (South Europe). And I say almost, since apparently A7500s (A10s - 10'') models DON'T exhibit said behavior, which is ALSO the case with most other branded tablets I managed to test, either LG, Asus etc...
So my question would be if this is a known-issue for these devices, or something's gone horribly wrong with the digitizer panel of specific batches of these and need to be replaced by the manufacturer...In either case if you happen to be the owner of one such tablet, please take some time to perform these tests and report back.
Thanks!
So drawing on the vertical axis appears like so...Is this normal?!
Hi guys,
I have an Ideapad A3000-h from a relative lying in front of me, with something is "not working" as the only description I got. I noticed that apps would automatically start up or close and when I went to the options menu it randomly selected different entries without me doing anything. I got the impression that the touchscreen was getting 'signals' without anything or anyone actually touching it - I decided to call this 'autoresponsiveness'. I confirmed this hypothesis by making the touch actions visible via the developers menu (which was a pain in the *** with the tablet constantly inputting actions on its own) and sure enough, on the right centimetre of the screen I randomly get short touch impulses. They become faster, more erratic and generally occure more often if I myself touch the right margin on the screen.
I think this is an issue of the hardware and I would recommend to have the touch screen and digitizer swapped. However I don't have any experience with Lenovo stuff and I just wanted to ask if you guys have any ideas if this could be a software (potentially malware) issue. I don't think so, as my relative has allegedly already done a hard reset and the problem still persists. I just can't be completely sure if what was done was actually a real hard reset or just something that was mistaken for it by my technologically impaired relative
If anyone needs video to understand the underlying problem - I honestly don't know if my description is any good - I will gladly provide visuals.
Thanks in advance guys
Cheers
PS: While we're at it. Does anybody know of a good instruction on how to replace souch a touch screen unit? I only found a russian video but I don't know what kind of solvents the guy used as everything is in Russian
Foreigner here, please be kind =)
Hello everyone, good morning, good afternoon and good night!
Recently I have received some orders for laboratory supplies accompanied by a temperature Datalogger that performs the recording and storage of the temperature history for 11 days.
I've been researching the model and it is for single use and disposable (TempTale 4 USB - Dry Ice version by Sensitech)
I also discovered on some foreign websites that although there is software from the manufacturer to "unlock" the device for later reuse, the acquisition is not compensated due to the low value and the existence of other reusable models of the brand itself (Sensitech).
As this model came by surprise in my hands and no one has other uses for it, I decided to disassemble it and analyze its hardware. It has an Atmel controller that in my opinion could be reprogrammed to reset the programming or even unlock it for other uses.
If possible, I would like to count on the help of experts here on the forum for this. I believe I have come to the right place for this!
I leave some internal and external photos of the device for you guys

It is worth mentioning that it has an interesting system that when connecting to the computer automatically generates a pdf report with all the data and graphs of the temperature record and another .ttx file that I still don't know what it is. Both are also in the drive folder for you to look at.
Hello there, your thread is kinda old by now but I am working on this myself.
Unfortunately I cannot provide you with the software for Sensitech dataloggers due to it being a bit risky, I do not want to get into legal trouble with Sensitech or getting fired for a hobby project. However even with the software you won't be able to reset one without somehow altering the chip contents. It will give you an error message that the dataloggers are meant for one time use only and cannot be reprogrammed.
The way to reset them is to manually erase the content of the ARM chip on the board, I don't know much about microchip programming but I have gotten it to work myself completely by accident. Probably by measuring each pin with an oscilloscope probe I have somehow corrupted/erased the programming on this chip. After that a red light started blinking and the word SET appeared on screen. After that I was able to reprogram them.
The TTX file is a more detailed database of the temperature logs, from which you can extract CSV files and do some sort of fancy graph displays and all that. The PDF is just for general overview.
You have a different model than the ones I get though. I have found that by shorting the Winbond chip and rebooting the device (shorting the battery connector briefly) it goes into some sort of error state. The screen will blink and every time you press Stop the actual temperature will be displayed on the screen. I do not know if your model has this too.
Is anyone still working on this? I have an interest in discussing repurposing a temp tale and would like to discuss
