1.Somewhere between updating custom roms, i have lost my actual wifi mac address. Now it's like 02:00:00:00:00xxx (but the funny thing is sometimes i can see my actual mac address there). How can i restore my actual mac address (i do have my actual address written somewhere). ???
2. Like above somewhere between updating custom roms, my IMS registration is gone ?. Now it's showing unregistered. So i can't use volte because of that. How to get back IMS back ?
Help me ! :crying:

Ok im running Froyo-Stone Sense v3.2 and I havn't had any problems with it till now,it's been running perfect otherwise,Now it doesn't want to connect to the internet for some reason. It says connection failed and I have tried toggling airplane mode, toggling wifi, etc. My APN settings are correct.Just not sure why all of a sudden it won't work.Any Ideas?Aside from that I am extremely satisfied with this build and I use it daily.
Hi
i had the same issue with the internet in France & I changed the build.prop (under /system) to change to the right DNS addresses.
At the end of this file, i changed to 62.201.129.99 all of the ip adresses
I don't if it'll work for you but this is the only good fix which works 100%

I have flashed Cyanogen Mod 7 (.0.2) onto my Blade, but now it has stopped being able to connect to the network (GiffGaff, was working previously on JJ ROM); and I cannot add APN settings ( There are currently no settings either ).
When I try to get the IMEI with *#06# I just get "IMEI" and no number (although it is printed on the inside of the phone so it's no issue to find it ).
Thanks for any help.
Did you use the windows flasher method to convert your blade from gen1 to gen2 by any chance?
You can check your IMEI also by going through: Settings> About phone> Status (scroll towards the bottom). It's there anything showing?
With regards to your APNs, download APN backup from android market. It has a setting that can delete all APNs. You can then enter them manually or reflash CM7
I too cannot add APNs. Cannot Acess internet and hence a deadlock.
Motorola Defy
if you flash your device in pc method , you can watch this by google trans to get back

Hi,
Dear All,
Ok, the problem is very famous i.e. i factory reset my device and when powered one like a fresh piece, i cannot add google account on my G900F (can't establish a reliable connection to the server).
i have searched a lot over the internet. Read about the HOSTS files description as well. All i found was the modification of the "etc/hosts" with the clients.google.... following "#" so that 127.0.0.1 localhost is only the operational entity.
My device is un-rooted and just for the confirmation of the above mentioned, i opened the hosts file via HTML Viewer (just readonly) and found that the etc/hosts file on my S5 has 127.0.0.1 localhost only and no any other information, which i think should be available for your device to work normal and google accounts can be added. See attached screenshot.
Need your kind help in resolving my issue please.
Try clearing caches from recovery
Still same issue...
Might be worth factory resetting again
How did you access the HOSTS files without being rooted?
did the factory reset 3 times but nothing, issue stands unresolved.
i opened the HOSTS file through RARLAB. Actually it allows you to view the root folder and all of its contents even if your phone is un-rooted.
Could try removing the device from Google Play
https://support.google.com/googleplay/answer/2407656?hl=en-GB
Create a new Google account as a test to see if the issue is the phone or the account
If that doesn't help, Id flash a stock ROM through ODIN, this will NOT trip KNOX if you are still 0x0
Are you sure all your data connections are working properly, WiFi/3/4G ?

ok here are some interesting occurrences:
Worth mentioning that i was operating over Wi-Fi.
1) - i flashed a stock Kitkat ANG2 ROM via odin and the problem still persists.
2) - Then i flashed stock Lollipop BOB7 and still the same.
3) - Then i created a new account via the first sign in page on the phone (after flashing the new ROM), and i was able make a new account(through my phone) but still it was unable to login on the phone.
4) - Then i installed a Proxy/VPN betternet and then i was able add an account successfully and also Play store is working fine.
5) - Means there is some issue with my wi-fi adapter routing (may be inside the phone or the carrier) etc.
6) - Then i switched off the wi-fi and enabled LTE (of my SIM card provider) and connected my phone through it, say what! its working fine.
7) - again i tried over the wi-fi and the issue started to happen again
Well, one important thing, i am using wi-fi which is also a LTE carrier (having the google issues) and the second LTE (which worked fine) is by the SIM card operator.
So , is there any problem with my wi-fi (inside the phone) or may be with the operator from which i am getting my services??
its quite confusing at the moment. well i am going to try the whole thing over the Wi-Fi of another operator and will feedback the results.
Mean while any suggestions ??
Reboot the router you are connected to WiFi from?
Doesn't sound like the phones fault, unless you have a proxy enabled in WiFI settings or something, sounds like the issue is with your ISP/Router
earlier my firmware was:-
Model- Grand 2 SM-G7102
Version- Android 4.4.2
Changelist 3250544
Build date- 13/02/2015
Product code- INU
PDA- G7102DDUBOB1
CSC- G7102DDUBOB1
(1) When calling normally, other person can hear it properly and me too from my side, but as soon as i activate the handsfree mode, the other person does not hear anything but i can hear him.
When calling in handsfree mode, other person can hear it but as soon as we deactivate handsfree mode, the same person does not able to hear.
Problem is vice-versa, means in both cases, the receiving end person does not able to hear if when change from headset to handsfree & handsfree to headtset.
(2) Earlier when i was on official stock rom then my phone's wifi mac address was E4:12:1D:E5:52:0E. but after flashing the cm 12.1 rom, it changes to 00:0a:f5:01:03:24.
As i'm registered with my original mac address to my university's wifi, i'm not able to access it (because now my phone shows different mac address).
So, i tried a method to change my mac address by editing it in 2 files via ESexplorer. But when i opened the 2 files to change the desired mac address, it shows me my original wifi mac address written there.
This amazed me that there in 2 files, its my original mac address written but in the SETTING, it shows different mac address. SO, what's the catch? What should i do?
So. please tell me how to restore it back my original mac address.? :crying::crying:
(3) My phone's DATE and TIME changes to 1 Jan 2014 and different time on every boot. I ticked time to be changed by network. I watched videos and try to replace my time_daemon file form folder SYSTEM > BIN with another one but that too didn't work. how do i fix this time issue?????
(4) "Viper4android" app is not working. It needs SELinux status as "permissive". but we are not able to change the status to permissive by any means (either by using terminal emulator or by SELinus mode changer app). It says "Can't reach SELinux- Looks that you don't have SELinux or it is disbaled".
(5) DBPie app is not working. It always unfortunately stopped and stuck when open.
(6) Screenshot cannot be taken by waving our hand over screen or by pressing HOME + POWER key. It's only available when power key pressed and an option pops out.

No it aint working..Though it changes the MAC in Setting , the actual MAC remains the same .
PS : now i have moved to OOS 3
You could try Pryfi by Chainfire
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2631512
Don't know if you need a specific mac address and why but this one could change it. Did not test it myself on oxygen though.
I did search quite extensively for this ... tried many methods ... nothing works. Seems there is no known way to easily spoof the mac address on the OP2.
(I'm running OOS 2.1.2 / Android 5.1.1 , rooted with xposed)
Tried the following :
- Pry-Fi app , doesn't work
- Many other secondary "mac changer" apps from the play store , none of them work
- Xposed ID changer , doesn't work
- The xda method here : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2286440 , doesn't work
- The other xda method : http://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-one/help/mac-spoofing-t2873101/post58755325#post58755325 , doesn't work and there is no such file on the OP2 running OOS 2.1.2 and above
- And finally the usual terminal command method : http://forum.xda-developers.com/nexus-s/general/update-18-05-13-spoof-wifi-mac-address-t1385577 : seems to actually work but then wi-fi won't connect until you reboot / change the mac back. Not sure why.
As far as I know ... nothing works ... but yes it would be really useful to be able to find a way to spoof the mac address.
I don't quite see the usefulness in this, why change mac address unless you somehow manage to get your device mac address banned/locked out of the network, probably by doing something you're not allowed to do.
If I had kids in the teenages they would probably try this to get by me blocking them for not doing the homeworks ? but then I would just block the fake mac address through the Unifi App, and if repeated I would simple turn to mac filtering and only allow my devices mac addresses ??
Or I could just write a firewall rule in my Fortigate to redirect them to either useful pages or rotten.com ??
