I am new to nexus 4 but not new to android .. with all my phones i experiment with different roms but everytime i change my rom i tack backup of all softwares and data manually and restore it againapp by app(very tedious process).. is there any way or software to do all the backup(call logs, sms, app+data ) and restore it automatically after changing the rom ...
please help
Yes there is. Titanium Backup allows you to back up to SD or cloud. You can backup all apks and data and restore in one go. It's not tedious but takes a little while... obviously.
The pro version of titanium backup allows one touch batch restores.
I have EU version of Honor 7 and I realized that, when I update Backup app via HiApp (Huawei alternative to Play Store), I'm able to backup/restore stored wifi passwords. EU version of backup app is not able to do it.
Maybe it will help soneone.
I'm having a really frustrating issue with a HiSuite Backup that I made. My P8 Lite ran into that infamous WiFi issue that seems to be plaguing a number of these devices. I made a backup using HiSuite of the device and sent it off to Huawei for service. Once I got the device fixed and returned to me, I plugged it back in with HiSuite to restore the backup, where it detects the backup but when I attempt to restore, it gets stuck on "Waiting" for all items and the progress bar remains stuck at 0% with the message "Copying files to your device... Do not disconnect." This goes on for hours until I manually cancel. The one data point that I really care about are the contacts, and there seems to be no way to get them back. Help plz, anyone?
I read somewhere about granting the backup app permissions, but there's no permissions manager in my Settings. Also, if I go to App Info for Huawei Backup, it says "No Permissions Requested" and is grayed out, so I cannot manually change it.
Huawei Backup app version is 7.1.1.306_OVE.
My HiSuite is version 5.0.0.301_OVE
and my P8 Lite is build number ALE-L21C185B525.
I could really use some guidance here; I'm going nuts otherwise.
The only version of HiSuite that works for me is the old 2.3 something
If not resolved...
Have you checked the App Info > Permissions for the HiSuite app?
Have you tried choosing only the 'Contacts' backup in HiSuite when restoring? In other words, deselect all the others. If that works, restore each module one at a time.
Where is the HiSuite backup stored - can you provide the full directory path on your PC/laptop?

HiSuite has all permissions available, so that shouldn't be an issue.
Yup, I've tried restoring individual modules and they don't work. I also tried making a new backup but that doesn't get restored either.
The backup is stored in my D: drive; the same folder that I specified in HiSuite. Here's the full path, in case that's of any use.
D:\Huawei Backup\Hisuite\backup\ALE-L21_2016-10-24 05.19.13
What Hisuite version should I attempt to use? I see 4.0 something on Huawei's website but when i install it, it automatically updates to the version that I mentioned in my original post (5.0 something).
I had a similar problem with my daughters Huawei P8 Lite which also had WiFi problems.
I took the opportunity to upgrade the new phone to HUAWEI P8 Lite_Firmware_(ALE-L21_C432B551_Single SIM Version,Bulgaria,Android_6.0_EMUI_4.0_05012XPF)
But when I tried to restore from Huawei Backup it kept coming up with a message to update Huawei Backup via play store on my phone which I thought I had done.
However, when I went into playstore I found the Huawei Backup update awaiting manual intervention. Once I clicked update it came back with the message that new features had been installed for Android 6.0 and I was able to complete the restore OK.
BTW the update version playstore installed on my phone was 4.4
I hope this helps?
Same issue, hisuite looks for csv, vcf files on my pc but thereĀ“s none with that extension in the backup folder, but apk or db files
Good day
I have the same issue of the restoring process being stuck on the "copying files...do not disconnect... 0% progress".
I have checked the versions of the backup app on my phone, as well as the HiSuite...
I even tried copying the backup file to my phone and restoring the backup via my phone - does not even see the backup file/folder.
And now,as if all of this is not enough - Huawei's website does not load!
What to do?? Please help!

I don't know if you're still facing this problem, but in case someone else runs into it, this is what did it for me:
1. Connect the phone to the PC via USB
2. Make sure the HDB and ADB are active for HiSuite
3. Enable HDB in charge only mode
4. Open HiSuite on the PC
5. Select the backup to be restored (or which files/folders you want to restore)
6. Input the encryption password
7. Wait until it restores everything you selected
Once the restoring process finishes, remember to disable ADB on charge only mode since it would pose a security risk for you.
I deleted some videos by mistake, having tried the app, but after connecting and searching it shows result Video is 0 (zero), so does that mean the videos have gone completely? why it cant find it? can anyone advise?
Hello Guys,
Is there any way to restore a deleted contact?
i don't have any backup at all, not in cloud and not locally.
Thanks!
Hi. I have Huawei P8 lite phone (ALE-21). I have never made root on this phone. Today I created backup of all files (messages, contacts, media, applications - over 2GB) with encryption. I made the factory reset and tried to restore files from the backup with the password, but it failed. Phone displays information that password is oncorrect and doesn't accept it. What I noticed is the UI is different than it was before the factory reset but when I'm checking the update from the phone level it is saying that the version of firmware and EMUI the newest (or rather that there are no updates). My questions are is it possible that I have encrytped the backup with another version of firmware and EMUI and in effect with another alghoritm (I suppose that because I needed to make the reset because something was broken since half year and I was not able to use Google Services) and is there any another way to restore these files (most important for me are calendar, alarms, contacts, and messages)? Could you help me with that?
Regards,
