This is a simple mod that improves audio bitrate when recording with the camera.
From 96 kbps to 320kbps, just as mi 10
Installation:
Install in Magisk, reboot..that's all.
Magisk 20.3 and above
Does it really improves the actual sound quality?

Hi OP, did you mean audio in video recording? If its sound recorder, there's setting to change audio bitrate.

Not a big loss since 4K60 removes EIS, but OP shouldn't have dropped the mod without warning.

This mod has been tested on 4k60, it doesn't disappear. The mod has been tested before posting it here.
I'll look into this..
EDIT : My apologies, I've recorded video before and after, and it keeps 4K60fps going in VLC.
I'm unable to find maxFrameRate="60" anywhere on the media profiles and I can't explain this, however.

My apologies, I've tested it and it shows 60fps in VLC before and after mod, with an increase in audio bitrate - and edited previous message.
Why is it that the mediaprofile.xml doesn"t have any mention of 60fps then....?
And has someone tested it with the brightness/exposure increase mod?
Thanks, and sorry again

Common sense what? Did get the point? You criticized of me replying sound recorder settings because I havent read the OP. I JUST REPLIED TO " where the sound recorder settings?"
So in addition, I am telling you. The OP originally only talked about audio recording. So would you know what audio is it? Sound recorder? Camera video? Screen recorder? Call recorder? Before the OP edit the post and specify its for camera recording? Thats why I asked WITH MY COMMON SENSE in 3rd post if its about video recording or just sound recorder.

What is the deal with the N1 youtube video??..or video in general. It is complete crap. My wife got the HD2 a few days ago and we pulled up the same youtube videos and I was shocked. My video on the n1 was choppy pixelated and in some cases it didn't even use the entire screen.
What is going on? I don't watch a ton of youtube videos on my phone but thought it was just the videos that were uploaded.
I paid $574 for this phone and I cant watch a decent mp4 video. Am I missing something. I currently have the M Desire ROM but had CM and and Stock for video was terrible.
Any thoughts peeps?? That said I love my n1 but feel like I have been sold short.
Did you play the video on HQ? Not sure if you're aware, but you have the option to do so when you're on YouTube. let me know the outcome. I love the video quality on my N1.
Hold on. I am quite certain that you're doing something wrong. When connecting to youtube, are you using WiFi? Are you choosing to watch the Video in High Qaulity? When playing movies onto your phone, what format are you using? I don't know if there is a native format that works, but I paid the 1.99 for ACT1, which plays all my files very well. I am certain that the 'video quality' is much more intense on the N1 due to the AMOLED screen, how can you even compare to a TFT? Are you watching a movie while walking down the street on a sunny day?
Are you sure you are watching the high quality version of the video? I believe the N1 defaults to the low quality videos on the youtube app. The high quality ones on my N1 looks great imo.

I have not seen any options when on 3G to play in high quality.

when you're on wifi it automatically plays it on HQ, but if you're on 3G you have to hit the menu button and choose to play it on HQ. It'll take a bit to load.

Slow motion has been working for Mi A1 for some time with modules that had been already created for it. People are asking here how to shoot normal video/not slow motion one with 60 fps. In GCam you can set it to 60 fps, but that's where it ends. The video is still being laggy and variable frame rate does not exceed 25/30 fps.
OK. This did not even work with Android 7.
works in Mi A1 w/ Oreo? (rooted/Magisc/camera2api/GCam)

U know when A device is capable of recording at 120 fps it can record at 60 fps also.
It is possible to record a normal motion video using Mi A1
all u need to have
* rooted Mi A1
* any custom ROM (I have not tested it on stock)
* stock camera slow motion mode running in background
* installed open camera app
for this go to settings in open camera
set frame rate at 120 fps
set video resolution at 720 p
open mi A1 or mi A2 stock camera and click on slow motion
hit the home button to put stock camera in the background
go to open camera and start recording video
it will record a smooth 60 fps video at normal motion (not slow motion)
this trick is working fine for me
only conns associated with this method are-
no EIS working in this video
video is of less resolution
not suitable for low light conditions
camera shoots in zoom in state

No it does not. it just has an option to record at 60fps. actually it records worse than 30 fps.
if ur gcam does record at 60 fps please check the frame rate in video properties (using MX player)
and if it truely records @60fps then please attach a video sample and do tell which ROM and Kernal combination are u using.
It does. I have checked in MX Player, it is showing 60. I am using Stock Rom + Extreme kernel with full overclocking(cpu at 2767MHz , gpu at 1100MHz). Some Media Profile Modifications in system.
Have a try.

Replace your system/etc files with these files with rw-r-r- permissions. Then reboot. If gcam app force closed, open video recorder by holding app icon in launcher with take a video option.

Spatial Audio Upmixer
Incredibly lightweight yet effective sound fx that combines techniques of iir, fir, compressor, limiters with loudness normalization along with main component - spatialization based on source separation and binaural upmixing.
Engine supports both wired headphones & speakers, don't see why it wouldn't work on bt, but I haven't tested that. It's also one of those very rare cases when android fx seem to support up to 192khz sampling, testing on 24/192 flac proved working like a charm.
As far as I understand there is some sort of EQ that tunes itself on-the-go eliminating clipping, but I couldn't patch anything in it.
NOTE
Can't be used with JDSP!
Requirements
Magisk 20+
If using with other ainur mods/addons - need to (re)flash AML (audio modification library) from the repo to hook it up
Updated & Fixed redownload
Does it work with Bluetooth phones don't have jacks anymore at least not mine. I do have usb c to headphone adapter.
Dumb question alert, does this downmix multichannel to binaural stereo??
Well I don't notice anything on my s10 lite but I have Bluetooth and usb c adapter.
Well I said it before and I'll say it again viper4android is in a class of it's own. All the xda sound mods a just messing with equalizer settings and xml files. Viper4android actually was a sound driver. I don't why he doesn't update viper anymore but I wish he would. Developers don't get so mad and jealous he was in a league of his own. Team Dewitt is ridiculous He thinks because he contains a APK that that makes him the new developer lol. 2.3.4 driver and apk are still better

New v4a team can only update the app as they don't have the driver source code and now the profile switching is much better than ever.
Driver wise, v4a is not that good as it adds white noise while processing and limited to 48Khz. And yes you can hear difference in hires source if you have proper hardware for that.
updated the module with fixes as well as fully retweaked engine

I'm trying it on K20 Pro.
The audio randomly gets louder and lower on speakers.
No sound after update

Yes, I'm sure it's working in my Pixel 6 pro A13 ROM when listening to audio from any video or MTV or music from youtube which is supporting for Spatial audio effect by my Google earbuds.

Thank you for sharing
Gave it a shot since I haven't really added any audio mods to my Nord n10 and the effect is instantly noticable.
Increased volume, wider soundstage, and slightly clearer audio.
Downside is that on my main speakers, everything sounds a little tinny, but I think that's due to the speaker setup itself.
