How to use EDL Qualcomm Download cable

Hello,
I have a moto g4 plus with locked bootloader and no OS.
I also have a EDL cable with button, but when i try it my device manager only adds (uknown device) and some error, but i cannot install the qualcomm on that device.
The device automatically goes to fastboot when plugging in usb mode.
You need EDL drivers and also press the button for about 8 seconds just after plugging in the device.

There's another way to get into EDL mode that was posted, although it's for a xiaomi device. It uses a modified fastboot.exe to get he device boot into EDL mode...

Can you help me get the correct drivers?
Im affraid i have tried that method but it said booting to download mode.. and then (remote) command not found
http://www.androidbrick.com/download/qualcomm-qdloader-hs-9008-edl-usb-driver/
Clicking on the download link will give a .7z file, having QDLoader in the filename... The page is in Turkish though, please translate it.
I have installed the 64 bit one and pressed 8 seconds but still the yellow triangle and uknown usb(unknown device device descriptor request failed)
On the old LG G2, you have to short a capacitor with tweezers to put it in this mode--maybe the same for Athene

my phone is completely dead, no display no fastboot nothing shows on pc. but when I tried to boot it to edl it gives the same error as you faced even though I have all the drivers. if you have found a way to fix this, share with me and Qualcomm flasher rom of moto g4 plus.

Use a normal cable. If it detects anything as Qualcomm, then you're safe

With normal cable its shows nothing. It was showing q loader 9008 before giving it to service center, but they did something, it doesn't now.
And now i know it could've fixed with Qualcomm flasher back then.. but now it doesn't connect anymore without edl cable.

DFU Mode - Mystery

Hi,
I know that there are already several threads where this is being discussed on this forum, just wanted to add this one so that people could share how they overcame it, As some let their battery die and then Vol down+Power into EDL, whereas some dismantle the phone and short the testing point, whereas some even got lucky with the Deep Flash Cable.. therefore it would be of benefit to all if all such solutions are shared under once single thread so that anyone suffering from it can look into one single list of options that he or she has!
As someone who is still figuring out how to escape this death trap, this would be great!
It's not a death trap for me ?? I can't even get it to that point. It's an amazing phone and I want to keep using it. I can't tell you how many different combinations I've tried in the last 24 hours and I have yet to get miflash to see my phone. All while adb and Qualcomm things are working exactly how they're supposed to. It's so frustrating that I can't even get my device into a state that needs recovering, especially with soooo many amazing ROMs for it!!

@ CASEY_K Have you tried different USB ports or a different computer?

I have tried both ports on this laptop multiple times. That's my next guess. Only downfall is I only have this one and don't know many other people that have one.
I'm getting the error, "parameter length can't be less than zero"
Had to disassemble the phone and follow the 4th category brick guide for me. I tried everything else, but that's the one that actually worked.

Supposedly fiddle enough with the buttons until it works, for example: https://forum.xda-developers.com/ax...estigation-t3511191/post74092981#post74092981
Some drain the battery first.
My ZTE is put into FTM mode by holding volume + and plugging in a USB cable that is connected to a computer. On some phones FTM mode will have ADB enabled. From ADB the command "adb reboot edl" will put the phone into edl mode without a deep flash cable.
If the phone contains a Qualcomm chip and you have Qualcomm drivers installed EDL mode will cause the phone to register in the device manager as a com port labeled Qualcomm 9008. Miflash recognizes the Qualcomm 9008 mode.

Don't bump completely dead threads, please??
Also you would be right if this didn't pertain to DFU. FTM almost never works when your phone is DFU bricked

Nokia 6.1 TA-1045: Bricked, recognized in Qualcomm mode when plugged in

So my Nokia 6.1 (TA-1045) randomly bricked and now the phone does not boot up at all. No screen, no sounds, no charging noise.
When I plug it into my Windows PC, the PC does recognize that it is plugged in. However it shows up as "Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008".
The best resource I could find with a similar issue was this thread, but for the LG 70+ devices. Is there any way for me to fix my bricked phone? Or am i out of luck?

So if it's showing as qc 9008 mode than it's a good sign.. it means it's going to edl mode.
What you need to do is find a qfil flashable firmware (just google) and flash it on your device through qfil flash software.

Redmi 7A stuck in EDL mode

I'm having an issue with my 7A. It turned off while I was using it and didn't turn back on, even when I plugged in the charger or tried to get into fastboot.
When I connected it to my computer, it still didn't turn on, but showed up as a "QHUSB_BULK" device. Searching around Google I found some Qualcomm drivers and now it shows up as Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008 (COM10), which afaik means that it's on EDL mode. How do I get it to boot properly?
I had stock MIUI11 and never messed around with rooting or flashing it, but I'm not against doing it to bring it back to life. I'd appreciate anyone's help!
Sooo... You must to do via fastboot total flash . You lost data , photos, videos etc. Download last image for fastboot and fastboot and adb . Flash and wait for reboot . Possibile your device wake up . If don't wake up , write to me pm.

DEAD Black Shark 2 Pro [Global] (Need Help!)

Hi, I own a BS2 Pro Global and it suddenly froze and shutdown, it happened several times and now it's completely dead. It won't charge and boot up. When I connect it to a PC my PC detects it but no signs of power from the device.
In my 'device manager' it says "Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008 (COM#)"
it's also detected by Mi Flash tool but I don't have anything to boot from.
*If you guys know where I can download a fastboot file or if you have can you please share it with me T_T
