Broken antenna - Huawei P10 Lite Questions & Answers

Hi, yesterday i disassembled the phone in order to clean the speaker. Accidentally, when i tried to lift the antenna cable from the main board it got unstucked
all from the board instead of just lift up th cable. I have some questions about this, now i assembled everything together i see that there isnt any problem with the 3g or 4g signal but im concerned about the sar value. Is it possible to have an increased sar value because the phone tries more to get signal or im wrong?
Thank you.

Magician Radio issue

Hi,
I recently had a Magician shipped which seemed fine the first day of use, but at the end of the day, the gsm radio icon showed me a no reception, or 'service unavailable' message...
Now, after upgrading the Rom's (several used) and Radio update to the latest one (1.13 as far as I can see), I don't have any reception or 'service' at all...
The gsm radio always shows the '!' marker...
Anyone any idea where to look?
Loose cable, loose or bad antenna, software/rom issue?
Any ideas are welcome!
This device will be my test-unit for xanadux, but I want to make sure it's functional before testing stuff and debugging things that will never work because of a hardware or firmware issue...
Thanks guys!
Great work, super forum!
this is clearly a hardare malfunction. your device may not be identifying the sim card.
thanks for the quick response, but I don't think it's the SIM-slot that is causing me troubles... The SIM card can be read without any problem, and the pin code is asked and aknowledged by the phone. Once in a while I get coverage, but it always looks like 1 bar maximum, while my Trinity is lying next to it, same operator, and all 5bars of coverage notification are there, so it's not that I'm in a dead zone or black spot where there's no cell coverage at all.
I checked the upper back part (after removing the plastic casing top) and checked where the antenna is connected. Once, while holding and pushing onto the metal part that looks like the antenna extension, I got (just for 5 seconds that is) a connection, and signal level of 1-2 bars, but that dropped and stopped after a few seconds already...
I think it's a connection issue of some kind, internal antenna or the connection to it, but I'm not that keen on taking the unit apart to find out it's not that easy to sort the issue out...
Any help, info, ... can help...
Thanks!
the metal plate just below the top-backside plastic panel acts like the antenna. On top side of it there are two legs which connect to the mainboard.try cleaning the two spots on mainboard and the contacts of antenna.
well, i can say this because i solved this problem once this way.
good luck.
Well, I tried what you mentioned: scratched and cleaned the squares on the pcb, straightened the connecting metal parts from the back plate, cleaned all contacts: no solution...
Any other ideas?
Possibly a sort of switch which makes the device choose between internal or external antenna? What external antenna might fit?
Thanks guys!
Well,
I got my hands on a 'broken' I-mate Jam (got stuck between the car door, screen is totally broken, pcb is fine) and replaced the antenna block: FULL RECEPTION...
at least, for half an hour.. after that: reception dropped, and again left me with the "!" mentioning "no service"
I tried switching the pcb's but for some odd reason, the screen didn't come up good... The backlight didn't turn on and the screen was all striped and smeared...
Is there a difference in pcb versions, connectors, screens?
I thought Magcian = Magician, but now I'm thinking there are different models around there...
Bon... so I'm looking for a pcb of a Qtek S100 now... to switch that one with mine, and see if that helps...
really strange the reception was 'perfect' for about an hour, I even succeeded in making calls with it! No jitter, no drops, perfect reception, and then: BONK, over with it... nothing left...
Any ideas on this one, or any ideas on how to get the I-mate's pcb working in my Qtek?
Thanks guys for the info and help!

[Q] [URGENT] USB Flex Connector REV1.1 Compatibility HELP

Hi everyone!
I'll make this short and sweet.
Repaired my LCD+Digitizer screen
After install, The battery temperature sensor was broke and my phone is saying "Battery temp to low" (-14Celcius al the time)
I bought a new USB Flex connetor and when I was about to install it, it was for another brand of i9500.
QUESTION: My usb flex is a:
SGH-I337_IF_SUB_REV1.1
FC1318
3-04
On ebay, I see one REV1.1 on sell, but the numbera are: FC1312 and 2-10, instead of FC1318 & 3-04.
Is it going to work? Because right now, my temps and Service Signals are OFF(no calls or texts), because 2 resistors fell off, 1 near antenna and one near Temperature sensor.
Thank you!

Nop, is not going to work!
Your signal antenna is there (wifi is the one in the top of the phone, in the plastic cover)
I am having the same nightmare, because of the Microphone.
Got 2 different boards form Ebay, and 1 of them gives me that error about temp.... and mic not working..
The other board charges ok, but also, no mic!
I found the same one I need... waiting for it to test it. Otherwise my moetherboard is F.up
Beside that, I am looking for the Micro card holder (and SIM)
Same ****, but worse...
I can't find anywhere the bloody FC1312 1- 16....
If I could at least speak in the microphone.. I can use the phone. (well, I actually can speak, but is not going trough...)
I guess that we should call samsung...
Anyway... I am in Netherlands, and this baby is from somewhere in America.

IMEI for the phone

Hi
I have a strange question. I don't know, if this is the correct section to ask my question. Mods, can move my thread to a correct location.
I have a demo note 4, which does not have a 4G antenna built in. I have a broken shattered glass SGS4 with AT&T.
I opened it and saw that, the bottom of the midframe, has a antenna, with silver pin touching the antenna cable.
the antenna cable is connected to the logic/mother board.
so can I shift the 2 parts ( antenna and blue antenna cable ) from the SGS4 to the demo unit??
*** I did not open the demo unit, to see, if it has those pins in the first place. Wifi works, means wifi antenna is inside demo note4.
Also, another question is, when You are talking about the imei, is the imei, put on this antenna?? or on the logic board??
My question is, if You drop your phone and glass did not break, but nothing shows up means, it is the problem with the lcd digtizer, mostly, ( if Your connections and cables are in proper condition and well connected ).
Similarly, when Your phone switches off, the battery is dead and it needs to be charged.
Similarly, which part on the logic board or phone is the imei linked to.
**** I'm not talking about flashing/cloning/changing imei/ or any other illegal stuff.

Galaxy S4 antenna is not compatible with the Galaxy Note 4 because antenna asset tags are different.
IMEI is stored on the logic board memory compartment.
Yes that is a problem with the LCD Digitizer.

No 3g at all after opening and replace the power board.

So after my capacitive keys died I ordered a new power board with the capacitive keys I opened and replaced the board.
But after that I can't get 3g or H+ signal I can only connect to 2g and 4g signals and I get complaints from the person that I speak that they don't hear me well and my voice sounds like I have 1 bar of signal.
Anyone knows anything about this problem?
I have done full restore, wipe everything, installed cm 12.1 but I have the same problem.
Possibly know a little about this......
Back in my S2 days, I had reason to replace the USB socket board.
Before I did it, I did some research and found that this board was in some way connected to the signal reception side of things.....
I also discovered that there are a number of different versions of this board, and buying the wrong one would result in loss of signal. This all may still apply to the S5.....worth checking out.
Look at your old board and look for some printing on it that may or may not say "rev X.X" (the X's will be numbers) then compare it to the new board......

SM G950U Network/Antenna issues

Heya guys, to make a long story short, bought an S8 on ebay, Verizon G950U, and was told the camera didnt work and there was no IMEI etc...
Upon checking, the front camera has a torn connector. I fiddled around with the daughter board where the antenna connectors etc.. are, (breaking the speaker and its entire cover in the process) and sometimes I randomly get cellular back, but it doesnt stay for long. i'm not sure whats faulty, but I'm certain it has nothing to do with the mainboard. The latest time the connection popped back was when I tried moving the back cover back on, I guess something must have clicked. I already reinforced the wires and the surrounding connectors, but I cannot get cellular at will. Would replacing the board in it's entirety be a fool proof solution? Hoping for help on the matter.
EDIT: Not sure if it was coincedental, but Also during one of the times the cellular service returned, it was immediately when I plugged my headphones into the device.
