Beware that 4K video is limited to 10 minutes per clip, and 4K 60FPS video is limited to 5 minutes per clip. 3rd party apps have no access to 4K 60FPS recording mode and can only use the main camera.

Wide video is very possible. There are clips on YouTube demonstrating our phone's wide angle capabilities. I think we will get it officially through on OTA

So in which modes OIS works? 1080p 60fps does it work? 1080p 30fps? 4K 60fps works too?
Στάλθηκε από το GM1913 μου χρησιμοποιώντας Tapatalk
OIS only works on 1080p 60fps and 4K 60fps.
In the newest update they added 4K wide lens video recording (previously to use wide angle lens you needed to use 1080p).
wow excellent
This is exactly what I am trying to work out. I want use of all 3 lenses so use 30fps 1080p but when I use video ois doesn't seem to work.. Wtf is going on with this phone that ois doesn't work? Or does it not have ois on the main lens? So confused.

The Video Quality needs an improvement. Most likely some firmware issues that could be addressed by LG. Dynamic Range is low in video, and the stabilisation is disappointing. Maybe they could engage the Electronic Image Stabilisation (EIS), or improve the Optical Image stabilisation (OIS) response time and overall smoothness.
Seeing as there are only pre-production unites with non-final software available, I would think it's a little premature to comment on any aspect of the phone including video quality.

Video quality looks pretty damn good so far.

I'd love to see higher bitrate with the original camera app, is this a possible hack for the future? There is still Cinema4k, but i'd love to keep the in camera grading.

Manual mode in V20 let you choose as high as 64Mbit bitrate, kut not auto mode though.
What I'd like to know is if there's 3rd party app in PlayMarket that's capable to store UHD 4K video directly in H.265 HEVC format?
SD Spectre is definitely capable of H265 compressing AFAIK

I hope the rooted LG V30 should have QHD 60fps (2k video recording) like the Samsung Galaxy S8/Note 8 camera mod!
FYI, from a Phone Arena Q&A article about the LG V30:
LG V30 Q&A: Your questions answered!
https://www.phonearena.com/news/LG-V30-Q-A-Your-questions-answered_id99088
The rear snapper is capable of shooting in the following modes and aspects in Auto video mode:
16:9 4K [email protected],
18:9 FHD [email protected],
16:9 FHD [email protected],
16:9 FHD [email protected],
18:9 HD [email protected],
16:9 HD [email protected]
In Cine video mode, which is the one that allows you to pre-apply various cinematic filters and use the Point Zoom feature, you can shoot in the following modes:
16:9 4K [email protected],
18:9 FHD [email protected],
16:9 FHD [email protected],
18:9 HD [email protected],
16:9 HD [email protected]
In Manual video mode, where all the fun stuff is, the phone shoots in the following aspects and formats:
16:9 UHD [email protected], 24, 2, or 1fps;
16:9 FHD [email protected], 30, 24, 2, or 1fps;
21:9 FHD Cinema [email protected], 30, 24, 2, or 1fps;
18:9 FHD [email protected], 30, 24, 2, or 1fps;
16:9 HD [email protected], 60, 30, 24, 2, or 1fps;
21:9 HD [email protected], 30, 24, 2, or 1fps;
18:9 HD [email protected], 30, 24, 2, or 1fps.
As far as slo-mo is concerned, you get [email protected] slo-mo, which is now a standard among flagships devices.
The front-facing camera maxes out at:
16:9 FHD 1920x1080
18:9 HD 1440x720
16:9 HD 1280x720.
Video quality is excellent and is definitely geared towards your regular aspiring cinematographer.

There's other answers to questions in that article, so feel free to go read it in its entirety.
^That article isn't exactly true. While if you are just digging around in the menus looking for frame rates, all you will see is that the fastest listed is [email protected] But if you use the actual mode option listed as Slo-mo then you get 240fps. They were lazy and didn't do their research.

Use the youtube links and not the embedded videos. No idea why the embedded stopped working.
And I should note that those videos were made in a bar where they keep the volume at a level that trips the Receiver As Mic. That doesn't come on until 120 decibels. The RAM was tripped right from the start.
here's my sample:

really disappointed with all the shaking from the ois / camera. google seems to turn up quite a few results for this issue. Seems no one has mentioned it here though. here's the video I made entirely with the V30 Cine mode.. really not happy. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4HDo_noiR7c
I get pixelated sky (and any other surfaces with gradient) when shooting in 4k (any bitrate, any camera app)
The solution is h265/HEVC
I checked a lot of reviews on YouTube before buying the phone and their videos don't seem to have this pixelation.
Can somebody shoot a 4k video of the sky with default camera app and do some movements while recording?
I would like to know if it's a wide spread issue or my phone is faulty.
My device model: LG-AS998
i have serious problems with in-video audio quality, especially in the manual mode, with hi-fi setting. on softer sounds it has a weird "compression artifact" like stuttering, although its lossless audio.
this is the mode that sohuld be ok for semi-professional videos according to the ads and phone blogger, but its absolutely not!
so a kinda mediocre video quality that promises great audio to make up for it, but it doesnt deliver.
I made a post about this in QA with samples.
There is pretty clear what I talk about.

One Plus 6 Slow Motion 240 fps 1920 x 1080 Full HD
Video created using the fast camera option (slow motion) of the new OnePlus flagship, the OnePlus 6, as a source. Recorded at 240 fps with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 Full HD.
OnePlus 6 with € 20 discount. in accessories: http://bit.ly/Oneplus4duros
OnePlus 6 on Amazon: http://bit.ly/OP6AZCOM

I'm gonna have to ask again about the loud environments video recording. The 5t will either distort or lower the volume to the point of being unable to hear anything and then gets loud again. My Moto's never had an issue like that, and nor do, dare I even say, most iPhones.
Really worried about it because I want to upgrade but not if this issue isn't nixed. Ideally, a festival, concert, or nightclub would be great to try this in.
My OnePlus 6 is on the way
See if the camera is better then OnePlus 5?
I tried to capture "Night time" timelapse vs normal video on OP6, but was not happy with the results.
Normal Video is almost dark at times.
Here they are :
The sound during video recording at concerts is superbad. If this is a factor, don't get it.

Xiaomi lying/misleading about slow motion
Has anyone else noticed that slow motion videos, both resolutions 1080p/720p and both framerates 240fps/120fps, are only software-upscaled from lower resolution?
If you don't believe, try to record the same scene once in 1080p/30fps and then in 1080p/240fps and play the videos on the computer.
There are horrible squares (blocks) in 240fps version.
My guess is they are originally recorded in 540p or 480p and upscaled to 1080p.
I'm very disappointed
The device has firepower for everything the year-tops do, but Xiaomi is capping it with its software.

In the videos i've recorded, with little no camera movement and only the subject moving the image quality at 240fps looks exactly the same as 1080p. So i will assume it's exactly this, i havent tested the files, but its probably using the same or only just slightly higher bitrate for the 240fps version.
could be better, maybe with an update, that can be fixed
xiaomi mi 8 960 fps super slow motion
The Camera for me has improved a lot, but now it would be good to improve the super slow camera, and the recording time of it, I have compiled this video and you can see how some effects of the slow 960fps camera seems not to be real, judge your.

Native Gallery Editor - choppy video
I have a problem with the native Gallery editor for video. I noticed that playback is smooth, however, once I start to edit (change Contract, Saturation, etc), the video becomes choppy. So far, I have only tested this on [email protected] using H264 and H265. Apparently if I use [email protected], the playback after video editing is smooth. I noticed the same choppy video playback using FilmoraGo and VideoShow. Any suggestions?
I did a quick test and had no problems. I'm glad everything is smooth. Because in most reviews I watched the video always had lags /1~sec.
In reviews, I saw that [email protected] is stuttering while panning. Is there any fix to it? Like use another camera app? Open cam?
there's no fix other than buying Mi 10, which drops frames with snap 865 but that's all Xiaomi is capable off
If you use OpenCamera app you can edit mbps and fps exactly and then the frame drop problem will be solved.
Whoah there, you can record vids in 60 FPS in open camera?

Yes, slow motion uses cropped image from ultrawide camera, not main lens. That is also disappoint for me, but probably this is limitation of the sensor - the Mi 10 Pro also uses ultrawide for slow motion videos, not main camera, even if it has fast SD865. By the way, regular Mi 10 does not have slow motion at all
I'm using lastest Gcam mod from Urnyx and 1080/60fps is smooth as **** now but i can only use the main sensor, no wide angle, macro nor telephoto for video.
Get it from here: https://f.celsoazevedo.com/file/cfiles/gcm1/GCam_7.3.018_Urnyx05-v1.7-fix.apk

Is there any possible way to record videos at 4K60 fps, although the video quality of Nothing Phone 1 is really good but it maxes out at 4K30.
At first, I thought after using some Gcam mods I can record 4K60 videos so I tried various Gcam mods with and without configs, Filmic pro, open camera and many other apps but none of them worked. QC 778G+ is fairly capable SoC and It should support 4K60. One weird thing I realised that Pixel 5 from 2020 had 765G which is far less powerful than 778G+ supported 4K60 fps video recording. Anyways, if you know how to enable that on Nothing Phone 1 then lemme know, I'll be thankful to you.
