anyway to get rid of system update notification? - OnePlus 6T Questions & Answers

I'm on a TMobile to international version 6T I know I can upgrade to 9.0.13 though local upgrade but I'll get around to it eventually but the system update notification is there and I can't get rid of it.

Try the app AutoNotification. It has notification blocking. Android's built in blocking should work too.

no root...likely just hold notification and hide it
root...freeze system update in titanium backup and it'll permanently be gone. Defrost when ready to use.

In my experience, if you go to Settings, System, System Updates, the notification will disappear.

Get rid of update notification

Ever since I rooted my phone I've had a problem where an update notification appeared but the update fails to install. I want to get rid of the notification because it is annoying.
I have flashed various roms but the notification always returns.
How can I remove it?
Nevermind. It was not the OS update notification as initially thought! Sorry, still new to this phone!

[Q] How do I remove the "System Update" notification?

I'm rooted on stock JB (T-Mobile). I recently got the notification for a new system update (KK). I do not want to upgrade until Xposed is functioning and some other bugs are fixed. In the mean time, I cannot swipe away this notification or reboot it away. On other brands, I could go to device manager apps in Titanium, wipe app data, and freeze it. I cannot find a similar app on this phone. Does anyone have any idea how to remove this annoying notification that I accidentally hit multiple times throughout the day? Thanks!
I used app quarantine and it worked just fine for me. Im on a custom rom now so i dont know which apps ive frozen with it but i know that the notification went away eventually.
EDIT: And please use the search function next time because there are already threads about this.

System Settings > Apps > Google Services Framework > Uncheck Show Notifications.
You can use Root Browser or similar and go into the Cache and delete the OTA update too.

How to stop Verizon new OTA which will not load anyway?

I have a rooted S7 Verizon and for the past week get a message after every reboot that there is an update that it wants to install.
If I tell it to go ahead, it will fail. But that is not the end of it, as it will ask me again and again to install (now or later). How do I delete this downloaded OTA or prevent it from re-asking if I want to install? What can freeze (Anttek manager app) or delete to solve this?
I'm running Android 7.0, build BQA4, SM-G930V phone
Thanks.
I had the same problem and same situation Verizon S7 Rooted. I went to the application manager and selected from right hand upper corner show system apps. Scroll down to System Updates app and force stop it. To make sure I didn't get any notifications while inside the app in the application manager select hide notifications for the app. Then in Titanium Backup freeze the app and it should bother you no more. Hope that helps.
Freezing both system update programs using Titanium did seem to stop the warning.

How to disable OTA updates on Sprint LS997 without root?

I have a LS997 running the ZV7 software. For now I don't want to update to ZV8 or newer, so I want to block OTA updates. I have read through the other threads I could find about disabling OTA updates, but couldn't find an answer for the LS997 without root.
Here's what I have done so far:
- Use a package disabler to disable FOTA Update (com.lge.lgfota.permission)
- Disable automatic system updates in the developer options
So far this has been sufficient to prevent the ZV8 update from automatically downloading or installing, but I'm still getting an update notification as shown in the attached image.
That notification is coming from Google Play Services. The only way I have found to make it go away is to disable notifications from Google Play Services. I'm not entirely comfortable doing that though, since I don't know what other notifications I'm disabling.
This discussion lists some of the notifications that come from Google Play Services. I can live with losing those ones, but I'm a little worried that there might be something else more important.

Does anyone know of a better way to disable OTA updates and notifications? Thanks in advance.

Still receiving update notifications on OOS 11.0.4 after freezing apps in titanium

Heya, the two apps I've frozen and have worked for me in the past are dynamic system updates and system updates. I did this right after installing magisk on my fresh stock install, but still I'm getting update notifications once a day, any ideas?
remove/disable
/system/priv-app/DynamicSystemInstallationService
/system/product/app/DynamicDDSService
/system/app/OPBackup
Whats the reason to stay on 11.0.4?
I just don't want to deal with constant updates breaking things, so I typically stay on a version as long as I can for stability. Strange though, I don't seem to have any of backup on the device. I did find a way to clear the system updates cache so I'm gonna give that a go for now and see if maybe that was the problem

I used to delete mentioned apps and the only thing left was a message in settings menu that a update is aviable
