Is it possible to unlock LTE bands in the china version of the note 7 . My country uses 1900,2600 for LTE and I do not seem to get connected to those bands.
Is there any way I can unlock these bands .
Currently I am connection to lte band 41 and switching to h+ .
Good day
So I have tried to unlock lte bands using DFS Tools I was able access the bands to my surprise the bands were selected already . But for some strange reason I cannot see the same bands in network guru for instance DFS shows lte band 2 enables but network guru does not have this band as a lte band
I am not sure but I think it might be hardware restricted?
If I make any progress I will update I will try a custom rom
If it was that simple everyone would just buy chinese version as it is cheaper than global. It involves a LOT OF work, reverse engineering and just blind guesing. For now, it is impossible. There was some cases in older devices that got bands unlocked, but again, it was an immense amount of work and took many devs and a lot of time. Forget it

I believe that this is exactly what will happen. Since the Pro doesn't come in a global version and is practically the champion of the cheapest budget phones as of now. Only time will tell.

I must've confused it with the standard RN7 on AliExpress but in regards to the price in India, it's still 180€. You can pre-buy at flipkart.com.
Anyways it's still worth the price and I don't think you'll find any other phone as beautiful and packed with power as this one for the same price.

Well, india is not whole world. People outside india can only get it for 230, which is a lot of for device that doesnt support global bands. So i dont think many people gonna buy it. For 230 in europe you can get pocophone So not budget at all

I'm wonderin when the LTE version will be available? I'm here in Asia and this is the only tablet worth buying for me right now for college purposes. (and other stuff)
I imagine we will not get word about those till at least Oct 10th.
I would be interested to know the release date for the LTE model as well...no announcements out there at all.
According to this article, there's been no mention of support for US LTE bands. Engadget doesn't always have the most accurate Android info, though.

shall i be concerned about UNLOCK feature with the 3G model of the new note 10.1
or it wont matter. since mostly i will get it from abroad
3G here was supporting older model of note 10.1 well
I saw the 32 GB Black at my local BestBuy but I'm not going to buy it until I know about the LTE one.
If the price is the same, and it should be if I buy it outright/unlocked, no contract, I get extra connectivity (LTE, just swap in the SIM from my phone whenever) and a SnapDragon processor which is more likely to get root and custom ROMS, why wouldn't I pick it up.
I also want to see if any custom ROM development happens on the WIFI Exynos version... but I don't see it.
Too many questions up in the air for me to pull the trigger... but I am certain I want the 10.1 2014.
Any comments? Am I batty to be concerned by these issues?

The price won't be the same.. be logic.. And samsung already released the codes for the exynos 5420 and this very encouraging you know.. Developpers now can create custom roms and stuff.. I think that a lot of people will have the wifi version (simply because we can tether connection from ou mobiles) and therefor there will be custom roms, root and more stuff created for the exynos version
Educate me on the reasons why the cellphone carriers will price unlocked LTE higher than the wifi version?

you can simply go and compar with other tablets: you'll see that the 3G or 4G version costs always more than a wifi only version. This goes for samsung or apple..
And the prices for the 4g version have already been released in some countries in europe and the 16gb wifi only version costs 550 euros and the 4G+wifi 16gb version costs 670 euros.. So you can expect that there will be a price diference also in the US between both models

So... ~15% more. That may be worth it for LTE and having a Snapdragon processor that dev's will write ROMs for.
Still no ROMs for the Exynos.
Note3 is Snap Dragon.

I'm interested in the LTE model for the Snapdragon 800. Seems to have better GPU performance so that translates to a better user experience. Note 12.2 with Snapdragon 800 would be perfect.
Hello everyone
I have a question about lte band of Chinese version
On Huawei website, we can see that the mate 7 support FDD LTE band 1/2/3/4/5/7/8/20/28. Todays, we can find the Chinese version for sell "limited" to bands 1,3,7.
But what I don't understand if the Chinese version got all band if you use it in another country or does it need a firmware mod to activate the other bands?
I need band 3,7 and 20... Can I buy a Chinese one or not? (2gig/16 would be good)
Thanks
This has been answer in our Q&A thread. Please take a look at recent discussion on this topic.

Forum member from Switzerland has reported that the Chinese TL10 works flawlessly and we will hear more news from EU user next week.:fingers-crossed:
And we highly recommend 3 GB RAM, or the premium version. You will notice significant difference when opening multiple APPS.
We will post a root instruction for xda community early next week so that it will be a more fun machine to have.

Hello!
I just came back from a trip to China. Bought my Mate 7 in Shanghai. Its the MT7-UL00 Version.
At the shop they told me it should work in Switzerland. They even installed the Play Store for me (good service).
At the Stop Over in Dubai I had no LTE. So I was a little worried. Now in Switzerland it looks like I have same LTE coverage like I had bevor with my LG G3.
Hope this helps you.
The Kitano
MT7-TL10 Chinese -> European
I just got af Gold Mate 7 (3 bg/32 rom) from China - MT7-TL10.
Its a Chinese version, with Chines text i a few palces (even i chosed Denmark for language) but its also without google or anything - and im living in Europe.
So my question is, how do I get the international version af the software on this phone so I can use it like a normal phone here in Europe?
I would be really thankfull for any help and guidance regarding this issue.
Thank you!
Yep i dreaming of my futur AM7 but for no problem at all like the guaranty, i prefer wait till the european version launch officially. i'm so disappointed the gold version will not sold in europe, oh well the grey/black model will be fine too ^^
the official launch in france will be soon around 12 of november.

I bought the Gold TL10 version from ebay and had the international rom flashed on it. Works fine although i only get 3g hspa with tmobile (which is still pretty fast).

It's amazon so warranty usually good if you buy from them. 3gb ram 2gb of ram wont matter much with the Chipset they are using. Feel confident that 2gb will be enough after all the video tests I have seen on YouTube. The 3gb is only the Chinese model which I would not purchase. Get the European model much safer bet.

Hey, I have my MT7 brought over from China. I am using it in the Czech Republic on Vodafone network. I can only get 2G connectivity. No 3G or LTE. in the Settings/Roaming Settings, it identifies my SIM card as "2G" only, and I cannot switch on 4G. I have a brand new nano SIM that should work with our local LTE.

Yeah I got this as a little gimmick to play with., but it certainly is a disappointment.
Do you think the CL00 version can be loaded with TL10 firmware? I can see CL00 and TL10 differ dramatically in the network and data connectivity support, and TL10 is what I need.

No. There is no way to unlock the SIM and flashing TL10 ROM will not work either. In addition, CL00 uses an additional chip for CDMA2000, which consumes more batteries (only 2/3 of battery life vs. other versions, stated by HUAWEI's website). If you consider TL10, we have Gold color version in stock.
We cannot help you on this version any more.

You should look at the LTE Bands supported, compare it to the ones used by your US provider and make up your own opinion, no?
Actually no, because over the years of buying unlocked phones I have found that ebay listings tend to lack these facts or are not trustworthy, especially when they are written overseas. I will not drop >$800 on a phone until I know for sure. I posted here since I figured some may already have experience with the handset. Thank you
Then you should wait. If ebay listings are the only source you can find for technical information on the p10 plus then don't risk your money.
Even if bands work you could end up with a Chinese model like what I got when I ordered a P9 Plus and didn't pay attention to model numbers. It wasn't a big deal, just took some time to get Google play installed. And some apps and settings not in English
I have a mate 9 china version and it works in Canada on Telus and Rogers network. Just FYI.
A spec list from huawei Chinese website for P10 Plus:
LTE FDD:Band1/2/3/4/5/7/8/9/12/17/18/19/20/26
TD-LTE: Band38/39/40/41(100M)
UMTS(WCDMA)/HSPA+/DC-HSDPA:Band1/2/4/5/6/8/19
TD-SCDMA:Band34/39 (移动主频段)

Does anyone know if a version with the highest specs will be available in the future? Why aren't the phone available with all options in every country? From my testing, the unlocked version will pick up Verizon LTE bands but calls fail since there is no VoLTE option on the phone. Did not pick up any of their 3G signals, and their system would not accept my IMEI as a compatible device. So it may work if you can convince Verizon to add the phone to their system, which is unlikely since they already have their own version.
FWIW I also tried it with a Sprint SIM, but got no service whatsoever and their system would not accept the IMEI. Thew in a Cricket/AT&T SIM and the phone worked as expected.

Which LTE Bands are you getting?
I'm on T-Mobile,seems we only have Band 2 support on the WW unlocked 8GB/128 GB Model.
I've already initiated a return w/the e-Bay seller,more than likely,it's going back tomorrow.
I'd been OK with Bands 2 & 4,which are listed here:

The fact that they let this .pdf out & it's not even accurate speaks volumes for North American support:Tone-Deaf would be a compliment...............

I was able to get service on 4 and 13 for Verizon, and 2 and 12 for Cricket/AT&T. It may support more, but I'm not aware of any apps that will let me scan for service on all bands. LTE Discovery mentioned a "Potential eCSFB issue" with the Verizon SIM which is likely because there was no CDMA support.
Fun fact... apparently the phone supports XLTE with Verizon, which led to a rather depressing speed test compared to my service with Cricket.

THX!,just wanted to make sure we were talking about the same model phone.
I'm gonna give it one more day,get around town & see if the connectivity is OK.
If spotty (w/Band 2 only) ,I'm sending it back,or,selling it on Swappa.
Outside of sparse LTE Band support,it's a nice phone,I really don't wanna part w/it so soon after getting it.
Haven't tried out the AR/VR Capabilities yet, but,I do like the display & the speaker quality/loudness.
TBH,I'm covered in WI-FI Most of the time, but,I did expect better LTE Band support nevertheless, especially for a DualSIM/Unlocked phone.
The fact that it's being sold on Amazon as-is seems to be Asus shooting themselves in the foot, certainly there'll be quite a few returns, once people find out connectivity is less than ideal for an unlocked phone, one that is marketed to the US/North America.
Update on mine, battery life is getting better now as the phone settles in. NOT impressed with Data though. I was in the country yesterday, my ASUS Zenpad had 2 bars of 4G and the Zenfone was in roam. Everything else is great, and living without root is bearable, I guess. Fortunately, my 7 year high score on Klondike is an X-Box Live/Google Play game and the score were carried over from the X Box cloud. I know that sounds silly but 7 years over multiple devices is a long time to build up a high score and was a major stress point going to a locked down device
That's the question holding me before buy one of these models. I need B28 lte band present on Mi9T but K20 is cheaper than Mi9T.
Can somebody try it?
Dont expect any more bands than what already is on the device. LTE bands are configured on Qualcomms firmware and that's not something we can change at this time or probably ever. Dont buy a new phone with that expectation. You will almost certainly just brick the phone so no one will try.

That was with a leaked tool for old SoCs. Currently we can't do anything about snapdragon 730 or 855 and similar and probably won't ever. It's better to not purchase this phone with the expectation that you can, it's very unlikely to ever work.
Somebody on this forum bricked his phone trying, just search.
