This phone is given: IMEI.info: BAC-L21 Nova 2 Plus (VNS-L21). No Recovery, no OS, no fastboot. Volume dwn + pwr doesn't work, restarts, but only the Huawei logo comes in. The battery was drained so I couldn't put it into fastboot mode (no cable or cable). FRP Unlocked, Bootloader Locked. I have no idea about the previous system, this phone was brought to me to look at it. I am completely disoriented after a night's suffering. Any idea or new motherboard?

Hello, wrong thread dude,
you should look for the huawei nova 2 plus thread.
BAC-L21 is not VNS-L21...
Regards
No, this is a p9 lite, but for some reason the IMEI number is not stimmering ... But since then, a little soldering, a little EDL mode and a small Linux reset helped ... Well the DC Phoenix subscription. Now fastboot comes in, I haven't tried to install it yet, I got tired ...

Ok,
Now i'm curious, after eventual unlock of the bootloader,
about which firmware and/or android 6/7 version you'll try to flash.
Where you will start ?

reinstallation was successful, I had to solder the motherboard, then with DC Phoenix I was able to lure the fastboot mode. Now everything is working well.

Thanks! If my time allows, I'll write a larger description of how I brought it together. Some people will definitely take advantage of it once ready.

Hello everyone! I have read almost a hundred threads and discussions about unbricking P9 Lite and none of them was my case. I have unlocked my bootloader and i can tell that by seeing the warning from huawei which says my device is not safe.
Okay, but the case is phone is stucked at Device is booting now and i dont have nothing to pick from because people can choose wrether to press power and continue to boot or hold volume up to go to recovery. But i can`t get anywhere because the phone just go straight to Device is booting now. I can`t get to fastboot, adb, erecovery, recovery or any kind of option instead of seeing Huawei logo when powering up and Device is booting now right after it. No sound from laptop when i connect usb and holding Volume down + Power. Nothing.
Any help would be really appreciated.
have you tried turning the phone on WHILE pressing those keys? volume up + power for recovery, or power down + power for fastboot?

Well, i updated to Nougat B336. It went all fine but it was slow. So i decided to downgrade to MM using oem-info after that flashing middle package and then MM. But in order to install these with Revolution Recovery you have to change data partition to f2fs than back to ext4 and then format data in order to be able to mount data. And then phone got bricked without any idea why. And then i tried numerous firmwares, extracting update packages flashing boot, cust and system. None of them made it. I had access to fastboot, recovery and emui recovery but recovies from huawei did nothing but to stop at 5% with package errors. Even ones from Huawei official website made exactly for VNS-L21 Dual Sim. The last thing i decided was to flash TWRP Meticulus because i thought partitioning will be better than Revolution but when i flash it i lost every access to this phone. No fastboot, adb, recovery, erecovery even dload\update.app on SD Card doesnt work. :good:
Drained battery in order to somehow make it to fastboot. No success. Even then when holding Vol+ + Vol- and Power i got to No battery symbol. When holding down Vol- + Power i got to Huawei logo and then straight to Device is booting now. If i just leave it as it is it goes to logo than Device is booting now... and nothing happens of course. Huawei got one of the worst support pages after Lenovo maybe. They are just useless

Well, previously i always got in fastboot when i`m connected to HiSuite and click on Restore device (Not supported model for restore! Blaaa) but now i can`t connect even when i`m there. Can someone send me only the usb drivers for the VNS-L21 because i don`t have trust to this HiSuite thing? :highfive:
C`mon guys give us some ideas. I disassembled this little beast take off battery put usb in my laptop and then boom same thing. Huawei logo straight to Device is booting now...
You have to install hisuite because it needs the right drivers to run. Moreover it is a good indicator to know if there is a link between them.

Yes, i do know it and yes i do have it installed. This was the first thing i did when i bought this phone. I reinstalled it and it does not make any change. But i think there`s something not exactly right with the connection between the app and the phone because there`s no sound when plugging the phone. That`s a pretty solid clue that something is not right.

you could've flashed oeminfo in revolution recovery and then use the update.app of mm, no need to format the data partition.
have you tried booting to fastboot while connected with usb? and if you check device manager while connected, can you find your device in there?

Yes, i tried it as i said in the previous replies, no i can`t see it in device manager because Windows doesn`t recognise it when i plugged it to the usb ports. I say doesn`t recognise because there is no sound when the phone is being connected and i hold whichever combinations there are for VNS-L21. Connect it to a wall socket for 2 hours.

I think you deleted something at system.img.
So you have to take your time and make it go to fastboot and install recoverynougatb9, flash system.img b336, make it start again.
Hi there, I've been browsing through the threads related to unbricking of the Nexus 6P stuck in qualcomm hs-usb qdloader 9008 mode, really desperate to get my device working again if even possible however I've tried for about four days now different ways and files and I've had no luck.
My bootloader is locked and no ADB etc managed to get my device showing as the 9008 port so I think it's stuck in EDL.

Use a hairdryer to warm up the back of the phone.
Are you pulling my leg? Warm it up then reflash?
nah im not trying to make you destroy your phone, being rather serious with this method. i use it on a daily basis to solve phones that fail during restoring factory images. i wouldn't know how long to give it with a hair dryer as i have access to a heat gun/heat mats .
just think of it as a cheap mans re balling method

thank you so much that worked, it has said flash successful, first time I got a google logo but now nothing, what would be my next step please?
if the bootloader is unlocked then you can directly flash the firmware. but if its not google "nexus ota" and then on your phone jump into the recovery and check the firmware model number and download the same ota and adb sideload it.
im not 100% sure on the next step as I've never had a nexus 6p with a dead bootloader. but thats what id do.
---------- Post added at 04:50 PM ---------- Previous post was at 04:49 PM ----------
but from my personal experience with having to heat a phone up to restore factory images, it kinda means the phone is nearing the end of its life and id start thinking about buying your next phone before it sh*ts the bed.

yeah can you access the bootloader at all ? does it say that the bootloader is locked ? from trying to restore LG's it sometimes has to be re heated a few times, but yeah if you need to re heat it to get further into the phone then its pretty much a lost cause. the only reason i do it is to remove the data so we can resell the device.

Hello....
How did you manage to get in to EDL mode..? I'm really curious. With stock bootloader? Since you can't access recovery
Also what is exactly displayed in Windows device manager?
You are using an outdated QFil version... It is from 2014 àr 2015.
Do a google search with: QPST_2.7.453.0 . This version seem to be from 2016.
Use the first link from the result. I analysed the files with virustotal, those seem clean or malware...
Also when plugging your usb cord to your PC, does your phone vibrate? Or does the LED blink in red?
You may have to press power button when plugging the usb cord or press power button for a certain amount of time before you plug the usb cord. I'm not completly sure, but your phone may not be in the "proper" EDL state to accept the QFil flash.
Good luck... :good:
Is it possible to send me the guide you used? Thanks.

Hey there sorry for slow replies, will be back on my desktop in an hour I'll send you links for what I followed and such, I think the only reason my device was in EDL mode was due to a hardware fault? As my device is faulty indefinitely as I had to use a hairdryer to warm it up while flashing this then allowed it to enter firehose state which a lot of people seem to error with - after all my attempts and research I'm to velieve there's a fault with the phone itself the only way I could get it to even power up was applying heat to it after removing the back panel
As blackcell said deballing or something? Worked a treat!
Furthest I've managed to get now is into my boot loader however everything is locked - when I press enter recovery my handset just freezes ?

Hi all.
I'm having a hard time with this phone, right in this moment I have it dismantled on my desk and only boots only on EDL mode.
I think I made a mistake and screwed the bootloader up.
I can get the phone properly in HS-USB 9008(EDL) mode and flash whatever ROM I want. So There is no problem to access the phone to flash ROMs.
The problem I have is that after I flash anything and I remove the battery the phone boots directly in EDL mode.
What are the options I had at hand?
1.-Through it away (last resort)
2.-I have another Redmi 4 Prime at hand. Is it possible to back the Bootloader up in other cell phone and flash it in the broken one?
3.-Can someone point some other option (Take it to service is not an option).
See ya guys and thanks in advance.
Best regards.

I kept pressing Power + Vol+ for more than 3 minutes... no luck.
Right in this moment I'm draining the battery out, just to see if it makes any difference when it guests completely discharged.
I think the Error I made was patching the Bootloader. If the Bootloader got corrupted perhaps the phone goes directly to EDL HS-USB 9008 mode automatically. The problem is that I don't know how I can flash a Bootloader from another phone (I still have the second Redmi4 Prime new/untouched )
Does anyone know if flashing the Bootloader form another phone unit is possible?
Thanks anyway.
Update:
I gained some knowledge about the cell phone and the boot process...
This is more or less my findings....
1.- I think the problem is really the bootimage. Not the bootloader itself but the piece that starts with the boot process at the very beginning.
2.-I could flash roms with Flashtool from Xiaomi and with the QFIL tool from Qualcomm and both of them finish properly.
3.-I know that there is an mbn file called 8953_msimage.mbs that I would need to restate that part of the boot process (8953 is the SOC code for the Snapdragon 625 that this phone has).
4.-The 8953_msimage.mbn should be standar to the best of my knowledge so it would be OK using that file from a ROM from a different vendor that integrates the same SOC (8953) from Qualcomm.
The problem now... I see that usually the "Service roms" a.k.a. "Fastboot ROMs" on Xiaomi language usually don't come with this msimage file. I checked the Moto Z Play and the Huawai G9 models that integrate the same SOC (8953) from Qualcomm but so far no luck getting the 8953_msimage.mbn.
Does anyone know how can I find that file?
...learning a lot with this problem...

Hello
Thing is a few months ago, I've got this phone with broken screen and dead battery, so i've got those two few days ago, and fixed phone, but when i turn it on, it just restarts after HUAWEI logo.
I can enter recovery, tried factory data, but still same
I've tried dload metod with SD card with VNS-L21C432B131, it is updating, and i think it finish it, but again it won't start.
Other versions won't pass 4%
i can enter fastboot, bootloader is locked, and i'ts FRP locked, so can't realy unlock bootloader :/
I have downloaded this DC - Unlocker, and it gives me IMEI and Serial Nr, and also it says that now Firmware is VNS-L21C900B131
Has anyone had this situation? Can this be fixed?
Alsno, first time to see this DC-unlocker, is it sure that it would unlock FRP and Bootloader, maybe then i'll be able to fix?
Please help
no one can't give me any advice?

Hello dude,
it seems that your firmware is now "C900" that mean you have global firmware...
Don't worry about this...
I think you can use the toolkit in the link below and bring your phone back to life..
You may also ask for some help, surely some users or the DEV will look at you...:fingers-crossed:

thanks mate,
it looks like that it's C900, but problem is that it doesn't want to start when i install any other version, i have tried with every version I have found to download, and still same
this toolkit doesn't want to recognize my phone, and all drivers are istalled
Multi-tool 8 recognizes my phone in fastboot, I even managed to get bootloader unlocking code, but still i can't unlock it cuz FRP is locked...
looks like it's end of this phone

Hello guys, I have a huge problem with my P9 Lite:
- the phone does not start, does not show signs of life, the pc can not see it, it is impossible to enter the download mod, nothing ...
This is P9 Lite, before uploading Nougata about a year ago it was VNS-L21, but after uploading it changed to generic-a15 and instead of CxxBxx it was NRD90m test-keys.
Phone died today after uploading UPDATE.APP, but, I think, for P9 (EVA-L09) because other updates didnt work because of 5% error (on EVA-L09 soft 99% for few minutes and then screen off) ...
Please, help ...

Hello,
so why you haven't searched for help when you got generic a-15 ??
Now you did a big mistake flashing EVA-L09 firmware.. (you know it's for P9 not for P9 lite)
Hope you will "save" your phone but you have to know exactly what was your model (L21/L31/L23, etc)
cust C432/C185/C02/C55/C605,etc.. and firmware B160/B161/B360/B370/B380,etc.. (mine are/was L31C432B381)
When u sure model and latest firmware u have/had try follow the rollback guide u find in
UNIFIED HELP THREAD.. here's the link

P.S.: READ CAREFULLY ALMOST TWO (THREE IS BETTER) TIMES BEFORE DO ANYTHING !!!
I think I did somethink like this, flashing oem info from P9.... I waste many time but it's ok now. I've try many way... The first step : drain your battery to 0 % , make your phone unable to start
then plug usb holding power and volume - , you could use fastboot, then, unlock, then flash images from update.... there is many tuto here...i 've use them....
The better advice is from Campobasso :

Hello @KaJzii2807
you wrote on UNIFIED HELP THREAD but until now u didn't get any help... i know,
sometimes things won't go as we expect...
Let me see if i can help you make dload rollback method...
You have L21 but some other info needed to do this, like single or dual sim, and very important
i have to know if your CUST is C432 or a branded version like C02 or other...
ASAP i will try to give you OEMinfo.zip + stock rom for your model, maybe you'll be able to unbrick.
Regards
Its Dual Sim, i had NRD90m test-keys, before this i probably had unbranded C432

Good afternoon,
first of all dude, install HISUITE for windows and minimal adb and fastboot on your computer
(with windows) u find here on XDA..
Make a try, only a try....
You said phone won't turn on, so try keep vol - and connect to computer with USB cable...
If won't turn on try (even holding vol -) press power button until it boots to fastboot.
Report what's happen when you do this...

Do not despair...:fingers-crossed:
The only thing from now is to wait a few weeks hoping that will completely discharge the battery. This should make some sort of wipe. After this try again if phone starts in fastboot mode ..
Without fastboot you can't do anything ...
Wish u the best and fingers crossed.
