Super slow tethering speed XT1766 (Sprint) Moto E4 qualcomm. - Moto E4 Questions & Answers

I have a Sprint Moto E4, the LTE speed is around 30-40Mbps for download, 2-4 Mbps for upload.
However, the tethering speed is ridiculously slow which about 0.35Mbps for download but upload speed seems normal around 3 Mbps. I tried stock ROM and LineageOS, both have the same results for tethering.
I don't know what's wrong with it.

Dude - don't double post. It annoys the residents and insures future posts will receive the attention they deserve.

You can't. That's why you don't shotgun post. Only mods can delete threads.

No need. General rule is to wait 24-48 hours before posting the same info in another related thread (and only if the previous goes unanswered).

Hosting Offer for Devs-Roms

I know some of you use free upload services that are sometimes slow and make end users wait to download. I have my own domains and use a hosting package for my little website that has 150 GB of space and unlimited traffic allowed. I can set up a subdomain and ftp account for devs to use in exchange for a donate button if anyone wants to put in towards my hosting fees. Nothing required just an offer for the community.
I'm not a DEV, just a stupid user. (and i do mean stupid), but I wanted to thank you for such a generous offer. That is really cool of you, dude.
Not a problem. Just went to download and was annoyed by one of those pay or wait to download sites and thought wait a second...lol

Ahh yes. That makes us brothers. I'm no dev but rather a very dangerous ppc pda owner. Completely moronic and stupid as they get. I usually have to read instruction 10 times on how to install apk files. So stupid I am. Worse than noobs. I once thought ppc stood for "pay per contract". But thxs for the offer.
Seriously thanks for the offer that is very nice of you but this really doesn't belong here. This belongs in the general section!

I can only speak for myself but I frequent the General section a lot. I haven't given much input there but I do frequent it as there are really some decent topics being discussed. I have read other threads here were the OP says "well if I had posted in General then no one would see it". I disagree! Anyways I mean its easy to get things seen or heard, I mean cmon you just have to use your head a little tiny bit. For example if this was my thread. I would have posted it in the General section. Then I would have PMed the less than ten devs and themers we have in the Epic forums and told them to check out my thread. Then I would put the info in my sig. Maybe bold letters or colors. Its really not that difficult. Putting it here in the wrong section just promotes more incorrectly posted threads thus congesting the DEV section. The OPs intentions are good and I compliment him but he still needs to know where it belongs.
I'd prefer having threads posted in the wrong section to having to read more smoothone drivel. Every single friggin thread this guy is in there. Painful.

You do realize that most of these ROMs are 150mb or so in size? That means that only 1000 downloads and you're bandwidth for the month would be gone...and trust me, that will happen pretty quickly.
I'm also going to guess that since you've just got a small virtual hosting account and not a dedicated server, that you will have a pay additional charges per gig of transfer used over your 150 gig.
There's a reason why these files get posted to the free file hosting services

I thanked the OP and mentioned where the thread belongs. It is not development and doesn't belong here period. If you can post bull**** then I can mini mod so **** off! By the way ill do as I please. Wow dude, is that your Dad's photo in your avatar...because you sound like you're about 12 years old. You've really got a stick up your ass if you're taking a smartphone message board this seriously. Go crack yourself a beer or take a nice big hit from your bong.
Personally, since he was making an offer to developers...this seems like a reasonable place for the thread. But what do I know, it's not my site and I'm not a mod. So guess what? I just don't worry about it. Maybe you should try the same.

I believe they have 150 gigs of space and unlimited transfer. If anything I'd be concerned that the host would start throttling bandwidth... making for very slow download speeds. Not like the free file hosting services are fast tho...

Definitely correctly posted in the development forum. He wasn't offering free web hosting for anyone, just devs who have a rom they need a spot for.
And nice offer. If I had a rom to host I would be most appreciative.
By the way, there is a report post button that I have seen repeatedly mentioned by mods. That is the proper way to deal with a post you feel is in the incorrect place. You know how I know this? Because it exists...
Really awesome of you man. Thanks for giving back to the community.
Yeah, this isn't Dev per se, but it's not like his post was "Does anyone know when Froyo is coming out?"
This is at the very least borderline, IMO. He was contributing something which will aid in the development process.

My storage is 150GB. My transfer is unlimited It's a 1&1 linux hosting package.
To add my own experience to this...
I am hosting the Bonsai rom on my server, and while I expected it would use quite a bit of my bandwidth, I never expected that it would use around 100GB in 2 days.
I had to request that some mirrors be included to offset the bandwidth a bit (I only have 200GB a month BW). My Webalizer is showing 1574 hits for Bonsai v2.0.0.
It's a good thing you have unlimited BW, but I'm guessing that the download speeds will be throttled.
I mean, for $7 a month, I wouldn't expect they will let you rape their servers (bandwidth is expensive you know).

seriously i think its a great idea and if i ever get proficient enough to make my own ROM id be all about this idea, and as a end user of your guys awesome work it would be nice to not have to jump through the dumb wait 500 bajillion sec before you can start stuff.....

Post a link, anything new is deffinetly welcome.
Keep replying to us, just keep it on topic. You need 10 posts to post in development.
Posted by Mr. Z's Epic 4G.
What's the test instance? Just say stuff like you're looking forward to gingerbread and within and roms to get your post count up.
PM me then I can post up the thread for you and give you all the credit.

Don't encourage useless posts - who ISN'T looking forward to gingerbread, etc? Some things are obvious enough to be left unsaid, and the forum will be less cluttered as a result - it's a win-win in my book

Something like that. I know all the tricks.
Damn US celular surpassed sprint and got GB GBMiUi and who knows what else.
I sayin **** sprint and their slow 3g and failed promises of 4g,for 5-10 more dolars I can get true tmobile unlimited with better development and 1-2mb speeds instead of 100-150kb/s on sprint.
And people saying Epic development is not dead.

I legit don't get 4G in my area. At all. They have no towers. In Phoenix Arizona. Tell me that's not a joke.
Well, I think the Mesmerize and Fascinate are one in the same, so that probly helps.
Sorry for the postponed reply but this if this isn't a priority only a hobby.
Yes it was a port from another platform, the mesmerize.

Atrix International Ver. on HSPA+

I want to ask that why HSPA+ is not available on the international atrix
It is because they share the same handware and.... I want to use HSPA+!
Is there any way? Thanks
How do you know it isn't running, mine only shows a 'H' in the status bar but I get 9 meg download speeds.
Sent from my Atrix
You asked this question in two separate forums for some reason.
My answer is the same. The International One X does support HSPA+. It's listed right in the specs at 21Mbits, if you bother to look.
Edit: Waah, I'm in the wrong froum. Obviously, I've just demonstrated that the Atrix's 3G performance isn't as good as the One X. Sorry.

I posted a more detained reply once I realised I was in the wrong forum on the other thread. Anyway, trhe jist of it is yes, it is an HSPA+ device, though it's rated for 14.4Mbps, not the 21Mbps of newer devices. And of course, you won't see anything like this in the real world bearing in mind you share the cell you're in with however many people.

[Discussion] T-MOBILE OP8 Update to 10.5.20. Signal Service loss..

Hello All,
Looks like as of 8/25 T-Mobile released another update for the OP8 10.5.20. Has this fixed any of the previous issues with the 10.5.17 update? Anyone seeing anything different?
@mammothjojo88 Thanks for starting this thread...
I still cant get either update. I just MSM'ed back and nothing. I got the 10.5.10 update and that is it. Very frustrated right now.

In Fargo ND.
Just checked again, its 3:09AM CST. They say check back after midnight. Its after midnight. Im very fustrated with the last two updates. As soon as I MSM'ed back I got nothing except the obligatory 10.5.10 update.
I just saw this article about T-Mobile 5G come up on my Google feed. Very interesting, it otherwise says that T-Mobile 5G is b******t. I could have told people that as soon as it launched, lol. AS soon as they merged with Sprint everything went to hell for data speeds.
