For whatever reason, my Nexus 7 does not show up in the "owned devices" section of the Google Play Web store.
I see my Galaxy Nexus and my Galaxy Tab 10.1, but for the past 2 days, my Nexus 7 hasn't shown up. (see attached image)
I've done the following:
- rebooted nexus 7 several times
- removed my google account from my nexus 7 and put it back
- wiped data/cache for play market app on nexus 7
- signed out and back in to google on multiple computers
Things to know:
- I am using the same Gmail account
- I have installed apps I've previously purchased on the device through the Nexus 7 Play Store
- I've purchased apps & music through the Nexus 7, been charged and everything
- It's been activated since Tuesday 6/19/12, so it's not a "give it time" thing
Here's an interesting example:
I purchased Paperland Live Wallpaper through Nexus 7. It installed on my Nexus 7. I went to the Play Store on the Web and Paperland only showed as purchased, because it only shows my two devices (Galaxy Nexus, Galaxy Tab 10.1), despite being purchased/installed through Nexus 7.
Help?
Are you sure you used the same Gmail account?
Also can you remotely install apps from the Play website to your Nexus 7?

Try this: On your Nexus 7 do a Clear Data on the Play Store app.

Did that too. Several times. No luck.
I'm having the same issue on my galaxy nexus. Any fixes?
Have you tried the following.
Log I to your play account on line. Click"my orders & settings"at the bottom of the page. On the next page click the settings tab at the top. Make sure you device is ticked to show in menus.

This happened to me as well and i tried everything you tried but without luck.
I had to make a factory reset, after that it worked.
Hope that helps.
Same here
I got my Nexus 7 last evening and I still cannot see the device in the web play store almost 20h later.
Fix that worked for me
Hey I had the same problem. It happened after I force stopped and cleared the data from the Google Services Framework in an attempt to receive the 4.1.2 update. Worked on my Gnex for 4.1, but removed my Nexus 7 from owned devices on the Play Store. Tried a bunch of things, but what ended up working was force stopping the Google Play Services app, then clearing the data. After that I launched the Play store again on my Nexus 7, then loaded the website on my laptop and low and behold, the tablet was back.
Now before this, I had done the same thing to the Play Store app itself with no luck. If the Google Play Services reset doesn't work however, maybe try it in concert with a Play Store reset as well. Hope this helps!
I had the same problem.
On my Nexus 7 I went inot the Google Play Store app
I click on the 3 dots in the upper right corner for the drop down list
I clicked on Accounts
I clicked on the Gmail account that I wanted to use (It was already selected)
I clicked the OK button
I went to the Google Play Website
And it showed up now.
I hope this helps someone.

By doing I factory reset it solved my problem! Annoying but it worked for me.
I had the same problem with a Nexus 4. Device did not show up on play website. What I tried:
- Cleared framework services data, play store data and download manager data.
- removed google account from device and reconnected it.
I read somewhere that you should go to "my orders & settings" on the play website, click on settings and change the nicknames of the "unknown devices" to something different (e.g. different numbers). When I did that, suddenly my Nexus appeared in play store. Maybe worth a try.
Not sure if this is the right place to post or not.
I just purcahsed a new Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1. Set it up and noticed the Android Market Icon was still there??? Went to download some apps and it prompted me to download Playstore. After Playstore was downloaded imediatly started freezing up and forcing close. Uninstalled, re-booted, reinstalled again and same problem. Unistalled, did master reset, did another initial set-up, went to Playstore and same problem. Wasted an hour of my life on the phone with T-mobile customer care and tech support then wasted another 35 minutes with Samsung tech support with no positive outcome. So this moring I turn to the internet and the real experts. Doing a quick google search I see that in the past week or two there have been a huge influx of Playstore complaints that sound similar to mine and it appears they are not device or carrier specific. Has Google come out an said there is a problem? Anyone else on here having any issues? FYI, I did confirm that I am running the most recent updates.
I checked and I do have the most recent system update on my device. I am not a "geek" but have been using Android devices since before they were availabel to the public and this Samsung is my 6th Android device so I am not a newb, that being said I am ready to throw my new Tab through a wall because I can usually work my way through glitches and get them corrected on my own. I was using a crappy old Viewsonic G-Pad before this, I thought I was upgrading but thet old rooted G-Pad is far better than this garbage.
Thanks in advance.
so are you saying you are on android version 4.0.4? that version should have come with the "play store".
I haven't had any issues myself, but you can try going into settings-applications, and then select the market/play store and clear data and cache. You can also uninstall updates if it still acts up.

Yes, it is version 4.0.4 yet it has an Android Market icon not a play store icon, I was very suprised when I saw that icon, I have not seen it in months on my other devices, i thought it was a thing of the past. Once I go into android market and try to install an app it then tells me I need to upgrade to Play Store, I click continue, download play store and that is when all hell breaks lose. Once I unistall the Play Store update it runs fine until I try to download another app through the market.
Not sure if this could help, but have you tried, instead of the factory reset, clearing data on Play Store and Google Services Framework, restarting and trying again? Ran into some Play Store trouble this past week and this seemed to solve it
I am having the same problem. I just got this 10.1 t-mobile tablet. I can't do anything because it is constantly popping up saying play store has stopped unexpectedly. I have uninstalled the update, cleared the data and cache. Nothing is working. I am essentially dead in the water as this pops every 30 seconds.
Saw the same problem on my friend tab
My only solution was to root and put cm9 on it. Works great now.

My Nexus 4 is not showing up as an owned device under My Orders and Settings -> Settings in the Google Play store. Has anyone else experienced this? I was trying to push an app to my phone remotely and noticed my Nexus 4 wasn't listed.
I noticed that too earlier
Yes, it is showing up in my devices list.
Same here. No problems with all three of my android devices. They're all listed and remote install works fine.

It took mine about 24 hours to sow up as a recognized device after first turning it on.
Mine shows up too on the Devices list.
Anyways, thanks for reminding me about this. Just set the Device name as "OG Limbo Level 3 Nexus 4".
Mine was showing up, but now it's disappeared and I can't use the web interface to send apps to it.
I can use the Store on the device just fine.
It's rooted, but I don't have a custom ROM or anything.
Any ideas, before I do a hard reset?
If you tried the 'Google Framework Services' trick to force the 4.2.2 update it can cause your device to no longer appear in devices on the Play store. I had the same issue with my N7 & all I did to resolve it was download an app (any app) by using the Play store app on my N7, a few hours later it reappeared.
Hope this helps.

Hah! It's been missing for days, and I have downloaded apps to try and get it back, to no avail.
I did the Framework Services trick again and actually got the update. Then installed an app from the device and lo and behold... it's re-appeared.
Cheers!
I tried the Framework Services trick and now my Nexus 4 isn't showing up when trying to install an app from the Play Store. Anyone have a quick fix? thanks!

I've downloaded many apps from the device itself during the past 24 hours with no problem.
Yet it's still not showing up as one of my devices on the website...
It should only show up on that list if you have actually set-up the 'wallet' app on the device.

Updated my Nexus 4 from 4.2.2. to 4.3 earlier today (OTA, nothing special)
Now it's no longer in my devices list on the Play Store website...
I was having the same issue yesterday. Couldn't download anything online, but had no issues downloading anything from my device. It seems to have been fixed now though. I thought it might have been the fact that I only had the phone for 3 days now and it just took a day or 2 to register with Google once it was activated.

Mine is doing this now (as I mentioned in another thread)
Completely stock, no issues accessing the play store on the device. No issues before the 4.3 OTA upgrade.
Have done factory reset but still no change.
Yep, shows up fine for me
12 hours after a factory reset, still no device listed.
Being able to search for things to install at work and have them installed at home was the best benefit of Android over iOS (for me)
After trying so many things, "removing and re adding google account", "clearing google services framework", etc...
IT FINALLY WORKED!!!
Here's what I did
1) Uninstalled updates to Play store and Play services
2) Opened the "Google Settings" app in the app drawer and clicked on Android Device Manager. Unchecked and rechecked "remotely locate this device" and checked "allow remote factory reset"
3) Refreshed the play store site on chrome on PC and voila!
Hi,
When trying to download an app (swiftkey) on the playstore, i have the error ([BM-PP-14)].
This error occurs just after clicking on the price and just before "accept and download" button.
Weird thing, I've already bought this app 2 days ago and never had a chance to download it. At first I had the 921 error.
I've tried clearing google play cache and data, rebooting the device with no luck.
My device has the original rom.
Any help would be appreciated.

Having the same problem with Star Wars Pinball. Except I can buy other apps. It seems to be just this app that gets the error. Have tried clearing cache and data of Google Framework Services, Google Play Store, and Download Manager, all with no luck.

There are two ways of getting around this:
1) Use Amazon but purchase with a US credit card (not 100% sure if the card address is necessary).
2) Trick Google Play into thinking you are in the US. This has changed over the last few years but identifying your location depends on two or three things:
- Your carrier based on your SIM card.
- Your IP address.
- Your credit card (I'm not sure about this one since I've never registered my Chinese credit card)
Two years ago if I wanted to get paid apps I just connected with popped in a US SIM card (even a dead one), connected with wifi and did my purchasing. However other steps may be required now depending on your device, such as a wifi only tablets. In any case I was just able to purchase an app that 20 minutes ago only gave me the BM-PPH-01 error. I haven't tried it with any movies, but will try to clean up this process to only what is necessary.
Steps I took on my Samsung i9300
1. Change the SIM from China Unicom to an old AT&T SIM and connect with wifi with airplane mode on otherwise.
2. Settings > Applications Manager > Google Play Store & Google Play Services > Clear Cache
3. Connect to San Jose pptp VPN service.
4. Log in to Google Play > Purchase from Phone and purchased through desktop Play Store* successfully.
*Oddly, when selecting devices from when purchasing through desktop Play Store, my i9300 still showed up as from China Unicom.
I suspect that the VPN connection may not be necessary, at least for the entire process, maybe just during the log in, but haven't needed to buy enough apps to try each option. But something like this should get you your stuff.

Hey man you really did not need go through that many steps. Just an hour ago I got BM-PP-14 when I was trying to purchase an app from play store on my desktop. Then I tried purchasing it from the play store on my cell phone and it was successful... I am in Shanghai and the carrier recognized on play store is China Mobile.

I wish I could agree with you. Sometimes it works this way, sometimes it definitely won't. I suspect that this restriction is app specific because sometimes it works the opposite of what you described. I can't get it on my phone but can via desktop Play.

Today I solve the problem by delete updates of Google play and Google play service.
Launch it again then the download procedure is fine, no reboot need.
Hi all!
As always, I will start with the disclaimer that I am legally blind, and that I attempted to see if this issue was already addressed recently, but I have trouble navigating the forums.
I am a fairly competent Android user, but I am by no means an expert. I am just totally lost on this issue. I have the Galaxy Note 4 (T-Mobile variety) and am running the most recent firmware. I am rooted with a vanilla setup.
The phone has been working wonderfully, but after trying to download the Dungeon Hunter 4 game, suddenly the Play Store crashed. Since then, any time I attempt to download Dungeon Hunter 4, the store crashes and loops the "Unfortunately, Google Play Store has stopped working." Other apps seem to be downloading just fine, oddly enough.
I did the usual measures: cleared cache and data for Play Store, Play Services, and Download Manager. Alas, it was to no avail. I also removed and re-added my Google account, too. It fixes the crash quite effectively *UNTIL* I attempt to download DH4. (Gameloft customer service leaves a lot to be desired - I submitted a support ticket a week ago!)
If anyone has any thoughts on the issue, I'd be immensely happy - - thanks guys!

Hi ,
if you are rooted did you install..... XPOSED FRAMEWORK ?
if so , then its most probably your cause.( i had similar experience a while back with Play store apps etc )
Your options are to either install fix /patch ..XSecureStorage( module for Xposed )
http://repo.xposed.info/module/ma.wanam.xshealth
it fixes Shealth ,Private mode ,some lag and also this Play store issues .
good luck
You could try installing from the play store on your pc. It should get pushed directly to your phone.

Thanks so much! It was indeed the Xposed module (as best I can tell.) I went through them, one at a time, and re-updated them manually. I'm most grateful for the input!

Hi Jag,
I know that I said some time ago that the issue seemed to resolve itself, which it did...for a while. I know this thread is a bit stale now, but I felt that it would just be redundant and discourteous to start a second thread. At any rate, it's doing the same thing again, despite me having disabled/removed all Xposed modules for the time being, uninstalling Play Store updates, clearing Play Store and Frameworks cache/data, trying the newest version of Play Store, and then re-trying your suggestion of having the web version of the Play Store push the app straight to my phone. It doesn't happen with all apps, only certain ones. The game developers for both games are very advanced firms and tried to assist me through a help ticket, to no avail. I am going crazy -- does anyone have any other ideas? My sanity rests in your hands, O' wise denizens of XDA...
