I found no HD mode while playing PUBG. Also frame rate can be set to medium only.
Night mode is not working.
Boring notification tiles.
Camera has not improved.
Such a shame for ASUS!

I used my phone extensively last night at the Christmas Tree lighting event in San Francisco. It was the first time I experienced the camera not playing nice. It's not been an issues until now. I had a hard time snapping pictures as it became non-responsive and at times very laggy. I'd have to hit the home button and start the camera to get it working again. I don't know if it had anything to do with the HDR mode. I switched back and forth better normal mode and HDR. It was at a very low light situation. The only other time my phone lags is when it's hot (note: not warm but hot) but that's a separate issue. Have any of you guys experienced such a thing?
Sometimes the on screen menus freeze or none of the different modes work.
HDR is slower (that happens when you take a bunch of shots at different exposures and then blend them together) and it processes in the background so if you take a bunch of shots in succession it will slow the phone down.
I just found out by chance, thought at first that kitkat update fixed the issue but was suprised becasue i remembered that i checked instantly after updating and it was not fixed, anyways if you turn camera on set it to 60 fps, record a video(just a sec is all it needs) and then put it back to 30 fps the and push record lowlight framerate fixes it self and the video is smooth but dark like it should be. what is going on? i´ll take this over nothing anyday thoug.
Every time i am downloading all my apps, or using the camera atall i the screen goes dim and when i try to adjust the brightness back to full that message pops up and i have to leave the phone to one side for a few minutes for it too cool down, i had this on 5.0.1 and on 4.4, the temp of the phone is about 56c
this normal?
edit: just recorded video on full hd and in less than 30 secs screen went dim due to overheating?! This a safety feature or something? My note 3 rarely got these type of messages.
Isit normal for camera to cause phone to overheat?, on any camera mode i.e uhd, full hd hd etc?
I have a strange behavior that when I play an hdr videos on YouTube or sevice memory or captured in HDR by the mobile it self the full brightness is not engaged automatically as it should
When I first got the phone it was always switching to full brightness with HDR content same with older Samsung phones but now it suddenly stopped
Any help!!
Mine does the same thing. Sometimes it works, other times not. I just chalk it up to Android being Android. It never works properly or consistently.
On my OnePlus 8 pro I like to use the amoled wide gamut mode as every other mode on the phone gives a washed out look compared to my other devices, it is slightly oversaturated but it's much better looking than sRGB and Display P3 modes. However whenever I watch HDR content the display is forced into Display P3 mode, this seems to be done whenever OxygenOS detects video decoding in hardware so it affects all players I've tried, the only way to get the calibration I want kept is by using software rendering which makes the device overheat very quickly. I'm wondering if there's any way to bypass this forced colour mode in HDR content while keeping the users desired config without using a custom ROM? I've seen this issue posted many times on OnePlus forums and it seems to be related to some eye health certification for the display.
