I have a strange behavior that when I play an hdr videos on YouTube or sevice memory or captured in HDR by the mobile it self the full brightness is not engaged automatically as it should
When I first got the phone it was always switching to full brightness with HDR content same with older Samsung phones but now it suddenly stopped
Any help!!
Mine does the same thing. Sometimes it works, other times not. I just chalk it up to Android being Android. It never works properly or consistently.

I've been having this problem when every few photos, just a plain green picture is taken. And sometimes there are distorted colors. I decided to play around with the settings to check if it changes anything.
I found out that the problem is keeping the focus mode in Continuous Auto focus. Keeping it in this mode apparently has problems which are the green photos, distorted colors, and around 2 seconds of lag between the shutter and the photo being taken.
Keeping it on Auto took off 2 of the problems which were the green photos and distorted colors. But it was still kind of laggy, I think it's supposed to be this way though to have time for it to focus
Putting it on Infinity fixed all of it, I took over 20 photos without any problem or lag.
I don't know why that problem occurred, but it's probably just the camera firmware and not a hardware problem.
Hope I got to help
Just curious if there is a viable option for videos in low light and no flash.
When in auto mode and low light videos (and sometimes pics) and flash off the camera states "auto night detection cannot be used while recording videos".. Which I could care less about but it unfortunately makes the video or images MUCH darker (then what is initially visible and decent in preview) .
What is visible on screen before recording is more then fine and I would be happy with that but as soon as recording it gives that message and goes very dark. Very frustrating. Just give me what's on the screen why don't you!
Of course I can go out of auto mode but that does little.. Highest manual iso is 800 and I turn exposure up to +2 but this only partially gets better then the darker recordings.
If the preview screen can show an image or video with enough light why won't it record at that?
Anyone else seeing this and doing something to help?
Hey, I just noticed that yesterday , did you find a fix for it?
Ever since I got this phone I've been bothered by the bad framerate of the picture preview while in the Auto modes in the camera app, I thought this was a problem across all LG phones from the past year
Today I had the chance to check out a G5, the camera framerate was noticeably higher when in Auto, not only that, it didn't have just the simple, auto and manual modes, it also had a so called "basic" which is like the auto view with controls on the left which allow you to quickly change settings such as HDR and so, in less taps than on the V20 and without obstruction of the preview.
What is the meaning of this? If you don't take into account the manual video mode, the camera app is much better on the G5, could it be that my phone hasn't received this version of the app yet? Its an H990DS
On my OnePlus 8 pro I like to use the amoled wide gamut mode as every other mode on the phone gives a washed out look compared to my other devices, it is slightly oversaturated but it's much better looking than sRGB and Display P3 modes. However whenever I watch HDR content the display is forced into Display P3 mode, this seems to be done whenever OxygenOS detects video decoding in hardware so it affects all players I've tried, the only way to get the calibration I want kept is by using software rendering which makes the device overheat very quickly. I'm wondering if there's any way to bypass this forced colour mode in HDR content while keeping the users desired config without using a custom ROM? I've seen this issue posted many times on OnePlus forums and it seems to be related to some eye health certification for the display.
In certain video modes (normal, short, timelapse) my Mi9T tilts and flickers the picture to the left on the screen. It's really weird because after installing any 3rd party camera software it works normally.
Any thoughts?
Update: meanwhile it turned out that the image stabilization is the culprit - with IS off it is ok but once I switch it back it happens again...
