[BUG REPORT] Device features not working after updating to LineageOS 16 - LineageOS News & Discussion

I'm using LineageOS 16.0 for three days on my Xiaomi Mi 5S, but I'm really disappointed with the OS. First of all, the device got hot literally just using it regularly for a couple of minutes. Also I saw so much app crashes that I can't use it anymore. You can't really use it for now. It's new for the Mi 5S and it should be downloaded for debugging/developing purposes. It can't be used for now.

Which Android 6.0 custom rom is the best?

Dear fellow Xiaomi-users,
anybody with Android 6.0 experience on the Redmi Note 3G out there? I want to Miui (I don't use the launcher anyway, I prefer Nova) and switch to a Android 6.0 custum rom.
I'm looking for a
stable custom ROM with
regular Updates
possibly with a big community and a
good and complete translation into german.
I've found this list here with a huge number of Custom Roms. Can anybody tell me something about
CMRemix ROM For Xiaomi Redmi Note 3G
Resurrection Remix 5.6.9 ROM For Xiaomi Redmi Note 3G
CynogenMod 13 (CM13) V1 For XIaomi Redmi Note 3G
Any experience or opinion (or alternative) appreciated.
Greetings from Cologne, Germany
Ü.
According to my research, I think this one is good for daily use.
Yeah, 'Ive tried it. But after a short while, I've switched back to the "regular" CM13 portation. Some things don't seem to work in general with CM13 and the Redmi Note 3G:
* my Bluetooth 3.0 headphones don't connect (they connect easily with my wife's CM13 Galaxy Note 2).
* Bluetooth seems to be in general not as stable and strong as with MIUI 5 or 7.
* I can't take HDR pictures with the highest resolution (13MP), they don't get saved properly. 12,6MP/HDR works.
* SD Card as internal memory is a problem (my Samsung Class 10 45MB/s SD Card is too slow???).
But besides these general problems, I've encountered some additional problems with the RR
* Notification sounds are WAY to loud. Turning down the volume doesn't help. Even choosing the minimal volume, they're still almost deafening.
* LED notification doesn't work for Whatsapp, SMS, phone call etc.
On the plus side: Both (CM13 and RR) are notably quicker and smoother than Miui.
I'll be switching phones soon, so I'll leave it as it is. Otherwise I would try the new Dirty Unicorn Custom ROM, which looks quite promising. But I've come to the conclusion, that there isn't the Custom ROM for our device. And Miui 7 or 8 with Android 4.4 is simply outdated. This is one of the reasons, I won't buy a Xiaomi phone in the future.

May I know which CM13 version you are using? I'm thinking of swtiching from MIUI 7.5 to CM, but not sure which CM13 should I install first? Can you post me the link?

Sure thing:
It's the CM13 BETA V1.3 For Xiaomi Redmi Note 3G, ported by Suraj Lad.
http://www.droidtechhub.tk/2016/05/cm13-beta-v12-for-xiaomi-redmi-note3g.html
Be aware that
* FM-Radio doesn't work
* SD as internal memory will NEVER work on any MM Mod
* Bluetooth 3.0 gear won't connect

Thanks for the post. I just find that I have a Redmi Note 4G, now I'd better look for a ROM for 4G version.

best pie rom

Can someone suggest me best pie rom for my 3s prime .. new in this forum .. just rooted my device..
I'm disappointed with dot os. It has frozen my phone twice and it's a bit laggy. Battery back up is good.
Lineage 15.1 is very stable but battery really sucks
Sent from my Redmi 3S using Tapatalk
I'm on havoc official pie and I really enjoy it!
No bugs, great battery, great performance and customization!
But ram management is poor in havoc is , it sucks as hell. Did they fix it in recent updates?

I'm in Pixel Experience (CAF)
No bugs
Battery really awesome (1 charge per day)
Gcam as default camera

Xiaomi mi 9t is lagging from time to time

Hey, I am using a xiaomi mi 9t since January. Now for a week I am experiencing lags in performance from time to time. It started on 11.0.4.0 and continued in 11.0.5.0. Scrolling through the home screen, menu, chrome browser, WhatsApp etc are lagging. I also didn't install any new app which might cause the lags. I tried to capture this with my laptop camera which is pretty low fps but you can still see it.
Lagging https://youtu.be/lpIbPObkYYQ
Smooth https://youtu.be/zNJMZ078H2U
Can anybody help me please to find the problem and fix it?
I do encounter the same issue even though I'm on a mi 9 Lite.
I'm on MIUI Global 11.0.1 Stable with Android 10.
I guess there is a process in the background that takes too many resources and makes animation lags.
No fix found yet

You have to unistal APP VAULT, from play store. Search on playstore for the app and unistall update and unistall the app.
11.0 5.0 is a mess. I noticed occasional transition lag as well and slightly reduced battery time perhaps. Hope we get next update soon. 11.0.3.0 was amazing, everything worked perfectly, I regret downloading the update.
Somehow I can't uninstall or deactivate the app itself, how did you guys do that?

Hi, I also have Mi 9T with these performance problems. I noticed your message about miui 11.0.3.0. Looked up for it, it is first miui 11, base on android 9. Later ones are based on android 10. As i can see, android 10, also 11 are not very optimised by Xiaomi for this device. Is it possible to roll back to 11.0.3.0? For me its not important which android version is on my phone just want everything to work as it should. Actually everything is working just this performance drops and lagging (guess fps also drops). I got this device with Miui 11.0.4.0 and updated to 11.0.5.0 but im not happy with performance. LAter versions of miui are also laggy and bad for battery.
Miui is s#!tty, try custom ROMs

Micro-lag, frustrated

Well, I've been buying Xiaomi smartphones for many years and they have never failed me, but for about a month now my cell phone has been working badly, many times it gets stuck for several seconds, what bothers me the most and what had never happened before are the micro-lag (not a problem with the Internet) playing games that used to be a luxury for me, right now opening the notifications or the control center is an odyssey.
I am desperate and I do not know what to do, is a Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 3GB RAM, I bought the smartphone less than 2 years ago.
I have the version MIUI GLOBAL 12.0.2.0 (QFGEUXM). I have to say that before this version the smartphone already worked badly for me.
The smartphone is recently wiped.
Any suggestion?
Tbh i went away from MIUI because of this issue, i tried Xiaomi.eu roms and they seem to solve the lag and stuttering for the most part, but Miui based roms don't come cloes to how snappy AOSP ones are, i'm on Pixel Experience+ ( which is not even the fastest rom out there ) and there is a noticable performance gap between it and Miui.

Thanks for the answer, could you tell me some ROMs that are good for this smartphone?
thanks!

Does a flawless Android 11 ROM exist?

I am using last updated stock, but need some of Android 11 benefits.
Is there a flawless A11 ROM available?
I really mean flawless.
What is closest.
Nothing i believe, but you have to acknowledge that even the most bug fixed and curated custom Rom will bring some issues... maybe never...
Specially for an old little known phone like the MI A1 with various small teams trying to keep this device alive (amazing works btw guys)
My advice, get a new daily driver, and tinker with your old one, maybe it ends even better than your new phone!
Pixel Experience ROM is the closest to flawless experience on MI A1...
I have installed almost 5-6 custom ROMs on my MI A1 and the Pixel Experience ROM is the only one with bugless experience
Here's the link if you want to download it: https://download.pixelexperience.org/tissot
