Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 SM-T530NU HELP PLEASE - Galaxy Tab 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I am having a heck of a time installing the stock firmware on this device. It came to me softbricked and I have used almost every firmware available from the XDA official Galaxy Tab 4 forum, Sammobile and even the SAMFIRM tool. I do not know if this is a PDA issue or what, But I have been able to flash the bootloader with TWRP and install some custom roms which makes me think I am using the wrong firmware but I am lost as of right now.
FIRMWARES I HAVE TRIED:
T530NUUEU1BQC1_T530NUXAR1BQC1_HOME.tar
T530NUUEU1AOA2_T530NUXAR1AOA2_HOME.tar
T530NUUEU1ANK1_T530NUXAR1ANK1_HOME.tar
T530NUUEU1AND4_T530NUXAR1AND4_HOME.tar
T530XXU1AOA1_DBT1AOA1_v4.4.2_Repair_Firmware ( 4 file repair) Only one I can find
Other Regions XAC and BNN Firmwares
_T530NUXAC1BQC1_HOME.tar
T530NUOVS1BPL1_T530NUBNN1BPL1_HOME.tar
I have tried multiple cables and odin3 versions
Odin3 v 3.04
Odin3 v3.07
Odin3 v3.12.3 & v3.12.5
Odin3 v3.13.3
Odin always fails on aboot.mbn not matter what...sometimes I can get it to say re-partition failed or secure boot fail PIT or secure boot fail aboot
When I flash the stock bootloader I can see at the top of the screen T530NUUEU1BQC1 and at the bottom Multi CSV, XAR selected.
Any help would be very much appreciated.

Anyone have any suggestions at all?

If someone could please let me know what I am doing wrong or any other suggestions I would greatly appreciate it.

Something I forgot to mention is whenever I try to flash the stock firmware it always fails on aboot.mbn. I really hope someone can give me some insight on this.

I can't answer your questions, but: Does it have to be the original Stock Rom? Why don't you stay with a custom rom? Dirty Unicorns MM may be old but it's very stable since years on my device.

I mean I don't " have" too install the stock rom but I would like to know what my problem is it would greatly help me in the future on other devices.
I will give dirty unicorn a go.

[Q] cf-auto-root bricked SGS4 i9505

Hello Guys,
I'm stuck with my Samsung Galaxy S4. It's a GT-I9505 by Vodafone Germany. I came from stock Samsung Firmware 4.22 and wanted to root by using Odin3 an CF-Auto-Root. When flashing the cf-auto-root....tar.md5 Odin showed FAIL instead of PASS.
I think my big mistake was, not to switch the phone to USB-debugging ON. I forgot this. So now, when booting, the device asks me to do the emergency recovery with Samsung KIES. But unfortunately this doesn't work. Kies says Phone not connected. What can i do?
As far as i can figure out, i crashed the kernel with this flashing-attempt. i read something about using a PIT-File and a stock-rom to fix this.
Luckily i can boot to download-mode and also Odin seems to realize, that i plugged in the phone.
I would be VERY happy and thankful, if someone could give me a hint or even better a step-by-step instruction, how to get my Galaxy S4 back to work. Even with the stock Firmware. At least, it's working again....but how can i manage it?
Thanks guys!
Alex.
Look in the i9505 forum for a stock firmware tar and flash it via Odin and you will be back 100% stock as if you just bought it. Instructions for flashing the stock firmware tar will be in the post. I would search and link you but on my phone.

Its possible you had a corrupted cf-autoroot image. If you have an MD5 on the stock rom you download, use ODIN 3.04 or 3.07 to flash as they check the MD5 sums before flashing as long as the rom has an MD5 extension - .tar.md5.

FIRST OF ALL:
Thank you very much for helping me!
I got my SGS4 back working! :laugh::laugh::laugh:
But it wasn't done with only flashing a stock ROM. I also had to use a PIT file for repartioning the phone.
Another trick (or was it just coincident?) was, i had to use to ORIGINAL usb-cable for flashing. First i used a third-party usb-cable. May this was also an issue.
So in the end, i followed this howto:
wccftech.com/how-to-unbrick-samsung-galaxy-s4
i downloaded the PIT-file and the stock firmware, recommended by Adam0524, from further above.
I hope my mistakes while flashing my SGS4 and the solution i found may help others, who run into the same problem. So if you have trouble flashing your S4's and get a FAIL message in Odin, but if you can still enter the download-mode, there will be a great chance to get it back working.
What you'll need is:
Odin 3.07
Stock firmware for GT-I9505 (about 1,7 GB)
PIT-File for your GT-I9505 (about 3 KB)
ORIGINAL Samsung usb-cable (!)
and relax, everything will be good in the end
P.S.: I'm so glad that my S4 is working again...!!!!!
Your problem was in usb cable.
Btw, usb debug has to do nothing with flashing with odin. It is used only when you are booted in OS

Also, just as a caution to all noob flashers, god that sounds rude, remember that flashing a pit file is generally the LAST thing you do before sending it back to Samsung... There is a very large amount of risk in flashing pit files. If you have the wrong one, this happens a lot with people new to playing with their phones, the file is corrupt or you just do something bad then you can end up with a true brick...
I have an S3 that someone played around with. I can boot to download mode, no recovery and can't repartition... Needs j-tag when I get the time....

Hows it? I think you would have figured by now. Just flash a stock ROM via download mode / Odin
Btw, OP I was shocked that you wrote CF-Autoroot bricked your device, it is by far the safest root method available. As you have aknolwedged later it is not a problem caused by it.

Galaxy S7 soft bricked

I have a Galaxy S7 SM-G935FD International Edition which, thru a long sequence of missteps, I have gotten to the point where I can only get to the Samsung Logo Screen or the ODIN download mode (ie. no boot). I flashed TWRP 3.0.2-0-herolte, apparently successfully, by converting the zipped file I found to a .tar and using ODIN 3.10.7 on a Win10PC. But I am unable using any key sequence to get into any TWRP recovery mode - only the two modes above. I tried to convert the Superman rom on this forum to a tar also, but flashing stopped after Aroma at starting NAND write. In my many missteps, what I was trying to accomplish is to debloat and root the phone, at least to gain root access using Android adb. I was able to do this on my previous S6 Edge, but Samsung's vast security barriers have defeated me.
Steps to recover from this mess greatly appreciated ...... hopefully steps I can complete using ODIN ............ thx, Gus

I was unable to find a stock rom for the international. I found a zipped UK no carrier stock rom. Since ODIN doesn't flash zipped files, I unzipped and saved to a tar file using 7-Zip on Win10. Attempts to flash the tar file using ODIN crashed ODIN on the PC. I'm not sure what's wrong, as I used the same method to flash the zipped TWRP file, and finished with a "success"
I note that I have a message saying kernel is not seandroid enforcing. Somehow I think using ODIN to flash a stock rom is being blocked by some Samsung secutity feature I cannot identify and haven't overcome. Gus
Check this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=3335065 I don't know if you have experience with Odin process. Google it preferably look at YouTube video, if you feel shaky on Odin concepts.

1. "I flashed TWRP 3.0.2-0-herolte, apparently successfully, by converting the zipped file I found to a .tar and using ODIN 3.10.7 on a Win10PC." Reflash this FILE via ODIN coz you flashed wrong one and boot in it. Go to next step if doesn't work.
2. Flash Stock ROM via ODIN. SM-G935FD use the same firmwares that SM-G935F.
Careful with ODIN. Make sure you are running on the latest version, as I myself has problems using it for the Galaxy S7 Edge on an offer version

Can't boot no matter what Stock Rom I flash

I've been using my S8 G950F for one week (Nougat Stock, don't recall which specific rom, no root nor nothing) until it suddenly froze, tried to reboot but couldn't get past the Samsung logo screen. I tried to flash a stock firmware using Odin but got a Fail with the Device Info error which I could successfully fix with the so well known trick of getting back to download mode real quick.
Now I can flash any rom I want (downloaded from Updato) without any issues (PASS on odin), but no matter what ROM I flash I still can't get past the Samsung logo. I tried flashing both Nougat (AQF7 and AQL5), Oreo (CRAP, CRC7 and CRD7) using Oding 3.12.3 and 3.13.1 (for Oreo roms).
I also tried using Prince Comsy's Odin and once again got the Device Info error but using the same trick as before I could flash a Nougat rom but still can't get past the Samsung logo.
Is there anything I'm doing wrong? Should I flash any particular ROM or in a specific order? Should I try with other Odin version? KIES doesn't detect my device.
Any help is greatly appreciated! I just don't know what else to try and I can't find nobody nobody that has had the same issue I'm facing.
Thanks in advance! Any additional info you may need just ask me!
PS: one thing that caught my attention is that when I go to download mode it says: Knox 0x0 and "System Status: Custom". Is that alright?

Samsung Odin, the differences?

Over the last few months & being on my 4th Samsung phone, I've seen many releases of odin. Can someone who has the time & knowledge please explain to me how do you go about picking a certain odin build, and what are the differences between...
1. Samsungs Odin v3.13.1
2. ‎PrinceComsyModifiedODIN
3. Odin v3.13.1 3B PatcheD
4. ‎Modded Odin v3.13.1 Raymond
Also if stock odin is my best choice in a given situation would it be best to assume that the latest/newest stock Samsung odin would be what I would want or are there particular odin versions depending on the phone & the firmware your flashing, assuming you are not rooted or trying to root your device. ie flashing stock firmware.
Any info you can fill me in on would be great. I've rooted before and know how to use Odin but things like modded odin Raymond, and PrinceComsyModifiedOdin are versions I know nothing about. I've only used Stock Samsung odin, & v3.13.1 3B PatcheD on my note 9 snapdragon. I am curious to learn, and the options inside odin itself are things I'd like to know about also, as when rooting the instructions usually say don't touch or to leave alone. They must serve a purpose, what that is I'm curious to know also?
