I need the file containing the complete bios for this tablet so that I can program the bios chip on the mainboard, the bios was corrupted during a faulty update. I have the eeprom programmer and software for programming.
Did you ever manage to reprogram your BIOS chip?
I have the same issue but no means to program it myself. I do have an original BIOS dump file available for programming the EPROM though.
Maybe you could assist me?
Kind regards, Rai
Dear Rai,
if your tablet is completely dead, you can try to rewrite you bios with a tool like "CH341A Programmer". Have a look at youtube to get an idea how to do that.
If your tablet is still recognized by a PC, you don't have to flash it by a programmer.
My tablet is a 1380F which is different. It is still working, so there was no need to do it for me.
Kind regards kielwasser
Hello, thanks for your swift reply!
Yes my tablet is a Lenovo Yoga Tab 2 Pro 1380F model as well, but apart from charging the battery, nothing is responsive anymore.
So according to the thread from Ionioni the only thing left to do is to reprogram the Winbond BIOS EEPROM chip.
I wouldnt know how to achieve this without damaging my tablets innerworks as the chip is soldered to the mainboard.
So I am searching for someone who would be able to do this for me, for a reasonable fee.
Kind regards, Rai

Try to put recovery.img from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1288223.......
just check if image folder contains all necessary files other than recovery.img.
thank you krish_nank,
I do not touch any files on the image partition. the main problem is, that my phone doesn't do anything and so I can't mount the device and drives. When I connect the phone to the charger it doesn't charge, the LED doesn't light up. I can't go to the pink screen. Is there any way to connect the phone when it is offline? Or is there any hard reset function.
Thank you!
Bye

Hello krish_nank,

That's really stupid. Why do you do that without a backup?

What's happended, when you connect your phone over usb to your computer?
What kind of backup do you have?
How did you do the backup?
Can you see some drives in your filemanager?
Let me explain. When I connect my unrooted phone to my computer, I see 5 drives. In the attached picture you can see the important drives and its filesystems. Please have a look at column "Einhängepunkt" to see it.
Perhaps this URL will you help a bit.

Hello Ponder Stibbons,
I can't turn on my u8800, that's my problem and that's the reason why I sent it to the service. I've backup 1:1 copy of the drives and one backup from recovery mode. There is no response when I connect the phone to the pc. When I connect there is no LED light on the same with charger. I dont know why but I think its a hardware problem. I've a second android handy, the samsung galaxy spica and I've no problems with this device and I've root it with many mods. what I'll say I'm not a beginner with root and mod an android device. I'll talk about the error when I#ve back my device from the service.
So long and thank you.
Best regards

Hello all,
I've got the information from service, that the mainboard of the phone was changed ;-)

Hi, I hope someone can help me. I have the following error at boot and the tablet stops at this error: Boot Verified Failed...
Short story is that I have spent the last two weeks trying to correct this error. No matter what I do I can not get past the first step in anything recommended on this site which is to connect to a PC. For some reason I can not get the tablet to connect at all, more specifically I can not get the PC to acknowledge it is connected. I am using the micro usb slot on the tablet. I have tried all the acer drivers, 4 operating systems including ubuntu, win xp, win 7 and win 8 and all of this on two different computers to be sure that it wasn't the PC being the problem.
Could someone help me how to figure out what I am doing wrong or what I am not doing right? Or does this tablet error mean that the tablet will never talk to a PC. I have tried APX mode as well as various combinations as per recommendations on this forum with the rocker, power and reset.
Hopefully someone can help me.
Thanks a billion in advance.
So it doesn't look like anyone can help me with this problem but perhaps someone can help me with getting a schematic of the inside of the tablet so I can perhaps fix the micro usb port myself unless someone knows another reason why I can't get it to work. I really need some help, hopefully someone can help me.

Strange problem and one I've not heard of before.
First try a different usb cable, they are not created equal these things!
Ensure usb debug. is enabled in Settings.
Connect yr tab to yr pc. Open device manager and check the android usb device driver is installed. If it has you should be good to go.
If it doesn't. ..head to the cpuid guide in my sig. There's a whole section near the end which deals with driver issues and how to set up and test adb etc.
I do have a schematic somewhere, got it
off here so try a search.
Oh, one other thing. ..u didn't mention adb drivers. U can download them from the cpuid guide.
Good luck

Hello,
I bought recently a cube Iwork 8 (model u80gt) and trying to optimize battery life I changed some parameters in the BIOS and now It doesn´t boot anymore. As there is no way to reset the BIOS settings, I have to flash the BIOS chip with the original BIOS image but I don´t have it.
Could someone read a working BIOS and provide it to me so I can flash it in my tablet?
Bellow i prepared manual how to to do bios backup from windows, its 100% safe and take 5 minutes.
1. Boot into Windows
2. Download afuwin tool from ami.com website
3. Extract that archive on the tablet
4. Go to AFUWin folder
5. Run afuwingui.exe
6 Select save option
7. Save file
Once you have the ROM file please provide it to me via PM or directly in this thread.
Thanks in advance.
Hello, still needing it? And do you also have that not that much accurate touchscreen? When you move with windows or scroll, it skips every 3rd pixel or so. But when you try the windows paint app, you can draw dots on every pixel, so I think it has something to do with drivers/firmware/bios.

Hi there,
I own a Lenovo Yoga Tab 3 Pro LTE and wish very much to have Win10 on my device. For me it does not matter if it is dual-boot or single-partitioned, even if the last is prefered. Is there any chance to get that ? Someone has experience to it ? Sadly Google and forums search didnt gave me the results I wished for, maybe I just missed them. However I would appreciate any kind of help. I found some manuals on how to for the Tab 2, but still I would like some kind of feedback before I try on my own.
Basically I would start to create a bootable pendrive and plug it to my device and go through the standart install routine overwriting the full partition. I am just not sure if there is any kind of blockage, with which I'll mess up my device.
Alternatively I could connect my Lenovo device to my PC and change partition size, so that I get two partitions for dual-boot, boot with the pendrive and install than Win10 on the second partition.
What do you think ? Experience ? Suggestions and ideas ?
Thanks very much in advance.
I'd like to do this also but am concerned about destroying any Android system partitions which might block a full recovery in the event of disaster. Anybody recommend a utility to create a complete drive image before installing W10?
Hi
I found this
youtube. com/watch?v=vvw9CMMlDJ4
and this version of the tablet windows
youtube. com/watch?v=cb8Yt89g4Yw
Someone has done?
Kind regards
Those ChangemySoftware program is a fake. Forget that. Its just scam to make you participate in a survey.
The second video shows a device, in which the uefi allows a boot from usb, which the LT3P doesnt allow, sadly.
And thats where I am stucked. I want to boot from my pendrive, but the uefi boot menu does not accept usb devices. So I need a way around, which I couldnt find yet. Somehow an enforced usb boot from a custom recovery or from android itself. Anyone an idea ?
Any progress? I want to make double boot windows + android on my Lenovo Yoga Tab 3 Pro 10 LTE.
Some news ???
Yes please I would like to do this too with my rooted yoga tab 3 pro 4go ! To have dual boot on this must be soo cool.:good:
Uh, I have the bootable drive ready and connected. And I'm prepared for all the risks. But I just don't know how to instruct my tablet to boot from the flash drive.. someone please tell me if you know. Thanks
Hi guys,
I've a problem with Lenovo Yoga Book with Windows 10.
I'm not able to startup windows and after boot, it say Reparing Autmatic Repair that fails as well the recovery from boot menu that say "there was a problem on restart your pc".
Do you have any suggestion? is present the recovery media file do reloaded all?
in Lenovo webpage there's no info about it as well on chat support I don't get any support to fix my issue.
I don't want to be honest send the tablet to the service because it's a sofware issue that could be easly fixed by reinstalling the tab.
thanks a lot in advance for all your input and suggestion

Thank you for your help. I could boot windows using the recovery option, it was quickly and very easy, However, I don't have the drivers.
Is there a way to install the drivers using the rar posted by Sandsman? or where can I download the drivers, or an utility that auto install them.
Regards!

Sure. One by one. You can download them from Lenovo
