Most effective Samsung website to report issues with "Samsung Internet Browser"
I'm trying to find the most effective Samsung website to report issues for Samsung Internet Browser and Samsung Notes for Android... with the closest reach to the developers of these apps.

There's a Samsung feedback page that I used for making a suggestion to their wearable app. So I'd look for the word feedback on the app and their website.

Great! Thanks for the tip. I just installed the app. So, do I need to start a chat session with them in order to report a bug with a Samsung app? The only other option I saw was to call them.
Thanks again!

very good question. but id guess that starting a chat session will enable you to get to where you need to go in order to post your grievance.
so to either report the issue to the chat or to ask the chat agent to point you to the correct path.

[Q] yahoo messenger webcam to pc works but sideways?

So since the froyo update we can finally do webcam to pc video calling the only problem seems with the yahoo app is you have to hold the epic sideways to be normal on the other end which then makes you the person your chatting with sideways on the phone.
Anyone know a way to fix this?

i am having this same issue and i noticed its the same thing on the 2.2 version on the galaxy tab so its not a bug with the pre release version. I think it must be a compatibility issue with the galaxy devices and yahoo video chat. When i am video chatting my Epic has to be upside down for them to see me right then i see them sideways. This sucks
Try Droidcam- it's in the market- it has a fix for this. Definitely works with Skype and flash-based webcam clients like chatroulette. Don't see why it wouldn't work with Yahoo.
Can you use Droidcam over 4G? because it seems like it's just a wifi cam app. BTW the new yahoo update has made the sideways thing even more annoying. They added landscape support which automatically rotates your video feed which means now you are ALWAYS sideways.
I have the same problem as well. Voice is also slow through wifi and 3g. However, the image coming from the phone has great quality but sideways.
Update on this
I emailed them about this now and got a response and also included and idea to allow mobile users to rotate their webcam in case it's not right-side up. Here's the response in case anyone is interested:
"Hello AndroidIsEpic,
Thank you for writing to Yahoo! Mobile.
Before I go into addressing your concern, I'd like to first apologize
for the delay in my responding to your inquiry. We are committed to
answering your questions as quickly and accurately as possible. However,
we are currently receiving unusually high volumes which caused the
delayed response.
If I understand your inquiry correctly, you would like to be able to
rotate the webcam with Yahoo! Messenger on your mobile device. Thanks
for your suggestion of a new feature for Yahoo! Messenger.
AndroidIsEpic, the current version of Yahoo! Messenger doesn't have this
feature, but we appreciate that you took the time to tell us about what
you'd like to see in a future version. I'll pass your suggestion on to
the Yahoo! Messenger Product Team, and they will put it under
consideration for a future release. Please understand that our
development cycles can be quite lengthy, so your suggestion isn't likely
to be added right away if the development team does decide to include
it.
In case you have another suggestion in the future, we created some
special customer feedback pages to make it easy for you tell us about
it. Suggestions entered through these feedback pages are regularly
reviewed by the Messenger Product Team. If you use Yahoo! Messenger 8.1
or higher, please enter your suggestions here:

Korean display issue

Hi,
i recently received my transformer, and there seems to be some issues displaying Korean.
As you can see from the attachment, specific letters are being overlapped, making it almost impossible to read.
It happens in every app... dolphin HD, Gmail app, Stock, but I don't think it happens when I type.
What can I do?
thank you
Tell Asus. Send them a tweet and/or contact them on Facebook. I don't visit Korean sites a lot, but did test some out and see the same problem.
I just sent them a tweet. Hopefully they see it.

Thank you very much for the tweet!
I have also sent them an email about it... so hopefully they fix the issue.
I have also came across a thread about not being able to type in korean using the dock, has that been fixed?
Thanks again!
Opera mobile and firefox beta displaying korean fine... hmm.
But flash doesn't work well in opera or firefox...
Youtube main page says to install flash even though already installed... Some videos says it cannot be played on this device. But some play okay? weird.
That happens to me too. It seems to be the problem of the rendering engine of the default web browser. For me, the symptom happens when you type in an input form of a web page, but does not occur when you put words in, for example, the URL box. Also, it happens after a syllable block starting with 'ㅍ' or 'ㅎ'. Hopefully they can release a fix for this soon.
Btw, it's really good to see some Korean TF101 users... I never could find anyone in Korean forums.
it is pretty annoying that it can't display korean properly on apps...
Also glad to see a fellow Korean user of transformer
sam problem here..
Havebeen looking for asolution for almost an hour... nothing useful...
Mostly korean in apps r displayed fine but the problem is when it displayed on browser...
Fourtunately im not quite much using korean when doing some tasks on the tablet..
But itz so annoying. Hope asus provide some solution for this.
Try typing in "about:debug" without quote sin the URL and then going into Settings -> Debug and disabling wide view or opengl rendering (or both) and restart browser and see if it helps.

UPDATE: Here is a video of this vulnerability being performed at Ekoparty 2012 over the weekend: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q2-0B04HPhs
I'll keep this quick in order to make sure everyone is aware of this exploit that has been published. I found it here: http://www.exquisitetweets.com/collection/tomscott/1762
Apparently the USSD code to wipe a S3 can be trigged in a browser iframe. Obviously this is bad bad BAD. Until there is a fix for this please keep your wits about you and avoid any hyperlinks to pages from untrusted sources.
Code:
the USSD code to factory data reset a Galaxy S3 is *2767*3855# can be triggered from browser like this: <frame src="tel:*2767*3855%23" />
MOD EDIT: workaround here

Yep, you can trigger other USSD codes too. It's just that one that is the game-changer and will make Samsung sit up and take notice. Looking at the simplicity of it it's a wonder it's not been discovered before. Unconfirmed, but I'd imagine this would affect all Samsung Android devices.
Update: Just to let you know, I'm investigating a way of removing the "tel:" URL handler now on my S3. If others can also investigate, we should have a short-term fix for this soon within the community.

I've tweeted @SamsungUK. They're as good as any other place to start. I'd suggest as many people bombard them as possible, just to get their attention. They can then let their primary Android devs know about this.
I've also tweeted @ChainfireXDA too, as he'd probably be quicker to react than Samsung. @supercurio is usually really good at helping out in such circumstances as well.
Easiest way to save yourself from this attack: set Chrome as your default browser, the TEL uri is not handled by chrome.
Just tested it on a SGS3 and Note... So just use chrome, and you are safe.
We have also contacted Samsung Finland about this.

Yep, I can confirm that with Chrome on ICS.
Just to add, there is some information here regarding intents within Android. Revoking CALL_PHONE permissions would serve to block this attack within any HTML-rendering app.
http://developer.android.com/guide/appendix/g-app-intents.html
If they don't affect normal calling or text messaging, the CALL and DIAL intents could be temporarily revoked, and this would fix the issue. It should just mean that "tel:" URI's within iframes and "a" tags wouldn't work within any app that renders HTML.

Update: it works also with chrome... So no helping there.
Update to update: chrome parses the TEL: link but does not run the USSD.
surely it depends if the browser is a system app or not?
If it is a system app chances are it has permissions to dial out, if not, it won't
EDIT:
If you are on an ICS rom please try this from whatever browsers you have installed and let me know which browser, if its a system or data app and what happens.

Tried on Opera mobile:
-it ask me to click before triggering the code
-I click to launch the process
-then it just open the dialer with the code "11111" in it
SGS3 GT-I9300 ICS 4.0.4
Firefox: opens Phone app dialer, but nothing within.
Opera: Automatically suppresses frame loading and displays the warning.
Chrome: Opens Phone app dialer and shortly displays it, but does nothing.
So, from what I can tell, this *only* affects certain "TouchWiz" devices.
On standard Android, it will lauch the dialler - but the user has to hit the dial key for anything to happen.
And, depending on their device, hitting dial will try to send the code as a USSD rather than processing it internally.
Until Samsung issue an update there's little you can do other than replace the TouchWiz dialler.
It didnt work on the STANDARD GS3 browser.
The dialler opened up and there was NO number on the screen to dial. Hitting "call" brought up the last dialled number I had

This is very serious and really bad, I just saw the news and checked if XDA members are aware and voila, everyone is worried. We really need a patch from Samsung as soon as possible. I wonder USSD codes exists in a lot of devices and not only Samsung phones, will it be vulnerable similar to us S3 users?
Android 4.1.1 and stock Phone app = safe. Code is displayed in phone app but nothing happens. But when i opened the link with touchpal dialer, IMEI has been displayed. When I clicked the link, system asked me which phone app i want to use to open. Either cancel it or choose a stock one and you are safe.

Can we get Samsung to fix this?

Hello everyone,
I just want to share with you all something that infuriates me with Samsung and is one of the key reasons they will never be on-par with Apple in terms of software. They have absolutely no attention to detail.
I have been using the new 4.4.2 official update. As we all know Emoji's are now natively supported in 4.4 (regardless of the Note 3 already having them) so after installing the update I was pretty certain that Samsung would have updated their Messaging application to correctly deal with Emoji's. But no. If you insert an Emoji into the text box it will convert it to an MMS. Why Samsung, why!?
No other company on the planet does this, and if they did I would be in debt. Many of you may not see the point in Emoji's but for me they are a fantastic way of bringing the conversation to life and when Google announced they would be natively supporting them I thought fantastic, finally. Unfortunately in Samsung tradition, they have destroyed it.
Furthermore, why are we still only getting 3 page texts? Every phone company in the UK allows up to 15 or 20 page texts, and yet the UK firmware for the Note 3 limits it to 3 pages and then converts it to MMS. Even my Nokia brick can do 5 page texts.
A quick fix to both these problems is switch to Hangouts, but that isn't the point. Why should I have to? Samsung needs to book their ideas up :good:
you can use wanam to disable the conversion to an mms.
just a suggestion

URLs not opening in default apps

Hi all,
I did a cursory check to see if there was a thread on this and couldn't find it so I'm going to ask outright.
When I get sent an amazon web link or want to pay something with PayPal, to give a couple of examples, I'd like the default app to open and not a new browser page. I'm not to android so I've had plenty of phones in the past that have operated in this way (oneplus 3t being the most recent example). Unfortunately I can't seem to get it to work with my S8 and it's a bit of an annoyance.
Does anyone know how to get this to work?
I have tried changing some of the settings in the attached screen but no success yet.
Any ideas?

Yeah, I get the 'view in app' option also but that's an Amazon URL thing I believe. It doesn't give that option, for example, with a PayPal payment. It simply goes to the website which is what I'm hoping to change.
I'm surprised it's only you and I engaging in this. I find this very annoying and thought others might also
I've read about it a bit and involves something called app to app linking.
It's difficult for me because I've never had a device that launched, there are some apps that launch but from what I can remember when it comes to amazon and PayPal I've never had it auto launch. But you've given an answer, I'm just wondering if it has something to do with the framework, one plus is pretty much clean android whereas the s8 is touchwiz

I'll try the suggested app now and report back.
Install another browser and see if that one opens the same. Try the Firefox
