Hello there,
I'm not a developer, just an enthusiast, but I managed to install and boot Sailfish 1.1.2.16 on my Nexus 5 with MultiROM.
It's quite an impressive OS! But there's not much I can do with it right now because apparently the SIM card is not recognized: cannot place calls, no mobile data.
I checked the latest status for the Nexus 5 port, on Mer Project site, here:
https://wiki.merproject.org/wiki/Adaptations/libhybris
I didn't see any indication of telephony not working, only the camera bug, file manager, etc... GSM should work, right? Is there something that must be done post-install to enable it?
FYI, the phone is working perfectly with multiple Android ROMs (KK and LP), Firefox OS and Ubuntu Touch all installed through MultiROM.
Oh, the Primary ROM on the phone is Cataclysm Lollipop, Android 5.1, so I recently upgraded the bootloader and modem.
Is this why GSM doesn't work? Too recent modem driver?
Any clues?

Yes that is the main problem: modem driver and kernel are not the same as these used to build sailfish
Thanks for confirming this.
So I guess my best bet to have Sailfish working with GSM is to wait for a build based on Lollipop (CM12), right?
I'm using sailfish just fine on my D821, everything working via multirom.

Edit: Nevermind.
I have been waiting quite some time for a custom rom for SM T819 but I haven't see much progress in this. I looked for a device with similar specs for our device and came across this device which already has a Lineage OS build available. Its practically the same device but with a different screen size.
LeEco Le 2 Specs: http://www.gsmarena.com/leeco_le_2-8053.php
LeEco Le 2 Lineage OS Github Repo: https://github.com/LineageOS/android_device_leeco_s2
It will be a good starting point as I think for getting a custom rom for this device with a great potential. I have read that having spec devices is a great start to porting a ROM from one device to another without specifically building it from the source. However it includes a few build prop tweaks and changing few lines on kernel which I have no technical expertise.
Looking forward for your thoughts.
It's true, personally I don't have this tab but I had experience with a Tab I used which was similar in specs with S4 Mini ..
You'll get bugs though and you can base device tree from the Leeco Phone to build ROMs
Anything new here?
Seems like @tuxing built a modified T813 LOS build for himself, but of course no LTE in there. https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=73992901&postcount=552
i really hate the lack of support for LTE Tablets :/
Hi guys, I don't know if i am on topic but 'cause of this lack of ROMs for the T819, can I install the one for the T813? I know there is no LTE, but if I wanna try the ROM can I install it or it is incompatible with the T819?

Not that easy, but I had a nice chat session with @LuK1337 and he explained me how to get things built and boot on T819: https://forum.xda-developers.com/tab-s2/general/guide-build-lineageos-15-1-t819-t3721477
It's not that difficult as I thought. @LuK1337 told me it's simple and even I managed to get it working.
So guys i just installed Flyme OS,everything just works fine but the mobile data it's not wroking, when i turn them on the device says "Current SIM is disabled,Data can not be used
Do you know any fix?
Thanks
Ask the question in the thread of Xda flyme os S3 neo
Reboot device it is working on my s3 neo
Ya it's not a major issue do a clean install and it will be done
Hi, i have been searching this for a while , i have a note 4 running on stock rom 5.1.1 where i recently got a vr headset with controller where i realized they deny the controller to work with the note 4 despite the headset works just fine .
By researching i get to see that there were suggestions to either install a specific apk or root and change build.prop device number to another device then reinstall gearvr services , then i saw additional posts that both methods stopped working , due to system updates that would either ignore the outdated apk or bootlooping rooted devices .
So I came to think how about ported roms then i came to see posts claiming ported roms do not support gearvr etc .
Now i really need an expert opinion about this , were you ever able to use the controller with note 4 910c 5.1.1 ? if so what's the right way to it ? if through a port please specify which along with the cons of the port over the stock rom , i have read on most ports i googled complains that most sensors are broken with ports etc but non specify if gyroscope still work or not on those so i am a little lost here . any help is appreciated and thanks in advance !
