I have a Verizon Trophy that has been GSM unlocked (I use it on ATT). After a factory reset, CDMA mode is my only option. I can't even find a way to enter the unlock code again. Is there a way to re-enable GSM mode? Thanks in advance for any help
nevermind. I fixed it by flashing a custom rom on it. I still don't know why it was only cdma after the factory rest.

Where you using a default Verizon factory rom? That's just plan weird. The default option should always be Global Mode unless the SIM Card wasn't seated correctly.
yeah it was the original firmware. It happened after a factory reset. The option under cellular settings would not change to anything other than cdma. it possibly could have been related to the sim card. Who knows? I guess it just gave me a reason to flash a new rom.

Well, I had the same problem with my s3. I did a factory reset, and it worked. Try flashing the stock rom again, and be brave because you might lose your phone from not flashing right.

Hey, I rooted a T-Mobile S4, and used RegionLockAway to get rid of being lcoked with T-Mobile. Any simcards i place into the device, it asks for a simcard pin. When I place the sim card in my Nexus 5, there is no pin and works flawlessly. What can I do? I tried deleting the data of the device and its still there. Thank you

Yeah I went into settings, the only option is Lock SIM card, if I press it, it asks for the previous sim card pin, which I have never put on... Would reflashing the ROM work instead of having to factory reset?

Yes , but i would be the same , if i understood right you are stock , so you have to flash with odin , so you will full wipe the phone to do it.....
Why you do not use an app like titanium back up , back up all your app and data , contacts...do a full wipe and restore everything but system settings...
or back up you contacts , use pc to back up all movies , music ,pictures , documents you got factory reset copy everything back configure google play so all your app are restore....i like this better
or do as above but instead of factory reset flash with odin

Okay, I just factory reset the device, wiped data, system, cache, dalvaik cache, flashed ROM, the pin is still there.. what the heck?... It is definitely not there on my Nexus 5... The phone was locked to T-Mobile, but now I live in Australia.. can you not use Australian sim cards for a T-Mobile device or something? cheers.

I had to get a imei unlock code, i requested it to my carrier as i had been with them for quite a few years but you can buy the in the internet or go to a phone shop , they have boxes like Z3X to do it.....that would be the easiest solution
I changed my usual SIM(vodafone italy) to another SIM for work(chess mobile norway).
All worked fine with it, 3g wifi, as usual.
Then when i finished using the norwegian SIM i went back to the old one (italian vodafone), and no 3g working.
the APN menu is empty.
I try to press + to ADD and it crashes( settings crash).
I press bottom left button then press return to default APN , and after 10sec i can see the Internet,Wap,MMS entries but after some seconds they all dishappear.
In those seconds i can see the h+ icon blinking for 1 second and then dishappears leaving the APN menu empty as described above.
After this first attempt if i press again to get APD defaults nothing happens.
Then I try again to use the norwegian SIM on my S4 and it works well.
I don't have a clue what's going on.
Any suggestions?
:crying:
Cheers
P.s: the phone is rooted, knox removed ,android 4.4.2,

already tried. Nothing changes.
I have just got another phone to test the sim, and 3g is working.
So if I was able to add an APN maybe i would solve the problem.
But the APN settings crashes all the time.
No chance to make any new connection.

1. Make a backup of all your data.
2. Make a factory reset (pic attached)
3. Try again.

Try to install an app called APN Backup & Restore from the Play Store. Click "delete all APN data". Then Settings -> More networks -> Mobile networks -> Access Point Names have to work as normal.

Thanks for help very much, but it didn't help
Should I do factory reset?
I did the HARD reset and it worked. So 4 someone having the same problem that is a drastic but working solution.
Seems that using a SIM from another cowntry made a lot of mess in the S4.
Thanks 4 Help

Hi everone.
I have been using my Mi A1 for bout 5 months and all was good.
I use USSD codes to get credit balance etc. (In Ireland on m y network *#100# returns balance etc).
Since the second last update this USSD code (or any USSD code for that matter) is not working.
Can anyone help please?

Thanks fort he reply.
If I factory reset it will (obviously) go back to out-of-the-box settings but will then take the latest AO updates and will result in the same issue :crying:

It's only a network setting reset (NOT factory reset) which would only wipe your network related presets like Wi-Fi, bluetooth, and mobile data.
Give it a try then feedback.

Thanks for the suggestion however, that has not resolved the issue.
Just to add, these USSD codes have only stopped working since the second last update July for Android One. Have checked with teh network operator and they have not retired the codes.
If you are using dual sim, you might have set the dial to another sim. Change that to "Ask first".
