I am struggling with a problem, touch behaves weirdly during charging, means I am unable to use it if my device is charging, I have to reboot after 2-3 mins of use. I am not sure how many of you, are facing this issue? I am on v179 because v186 and v192 are capturing bug on every reboot.
I am even experiencing Ghost Touch.
It was an issue and they fixed it in 186

But v186 and 192 has another problem of creating bug reports on every reboot.
Though thanks for informing I would try to update and then check, if it works fine, I would stay with v192 even after bug report problem.

Don't know, but it captures a bug on every reboot which I guess is, because of patched boot.img, till it is unrooted it doesn't capture any bug but as soon as i install magisk zip, it starts capturing bug report.

How?
Did the update fix your weird touch behaviour or you did something else?
Are you facing "creating bug report" on every reboot or it has been fixed as well?

Hi Guys,
Quick question, does anyone have the problem that when unlocking the OP5 nothing happens also on/off button does not respond for approximately 5/10 seconds, after that the screen just turns on normally.
Happens like 2/6 times a day.
Do any of you experience the same issue? i think this is a software issue but not sure, please share your thoughts

I still see the issue after the update. Lock screen and even the dialer freezes during active call. Not able to disconnect the call due to this issue
You're not alone with this issue. Im also facing this exact same issue after updating to latest firmware.

Maybe you guys should compare apps to see which ones you both have installed? Might figure out it comes down to an app.
sadly having the same issue
Andoid version 7.1.1
OxygenOS version 4.5.10
Kernel version 4.4.21-pref+
OP5 freezes 8/128
Same issue here since the very day I bought it. Replaced the phone through Amazon. The replaced cell didn't have this issue for quite some time but it's started to do the tantrums again. And now it freezes every single time I receive a call, I have to search for any contact, while disconnecting a call and even using sms.
I am fed up of this phone. I don't even get time to go to any customer center.
Please help.
Hey guys. Is anyone here experiencing random lag moments after updating OOS to 5.1.1? It happens completely random, mostly when scrolling.

Nope, haven't exoerienced any scrolling lag on 5.1.1. Does it happen in all apps for you or just some specific ones? Because some apps are not so well optimized and it can happen

The lag is not app related as it happens in the whole system (Launcher, Settings, Notifications bar)...
A restart solves the problem for the moment but after a couple of hours (maybe days) it comes back and is there for a couple of seconds and then it's gone for a couple of seconds then comes back, and so on...
Nope, have you tried factory restart?

Having weird stutters when scrolling too. Also sometimes opening apps feels choppy like there is something going on I can´t explain.
Tried factory reset but issue is still there.
If you turn on the GPU Graph you´ll see those spike right when the stutter occurs, there is something uneven but I´m lost on this one
I don´t think this is an OS issue as I had this before 5.1.1 too .. kinda started randomly
Hello again,
Wanted to inform you that I also actually just encountered that problem. It is really weird indeed. A restart fixes it but then in about a day or two the issue appears again. I am actually going to switch roms for the time being because of that.
As the title says, my other Mi A1 phone is having screen flashes and sometimes 1 grid line. I have also experience random auto home without pressing it.
I tried to flash it in hoping it would fix my phone but another problem occurred. Now my WiFi connection is losing randomly.
Ive used this stockrom tissot_images_V.9.5.10.0.ODHMIFA_8.0. to flash.
New problem appeared. As you can see on the google icon is appearing on the calculator. It also appears on chrome. As if my screen has transparency issue.
https://ibb.co/n5GsVo
Edit: I have found the issue. The G is from the keyboard. They have the same location and size. https://ibb.co/dbry5o
My other Mi A1 is working good.
Please help me

Looks like screen burn, rare on an ips panel.
If you can claim warranty then my best advice for you would be to contact Xiaomi, they should either replace the display or the device. Or you can tinker screen calibration a bit which hides this, but this isn't possible on stock, atleast not unless rooted. If this is caused by the may update then you can wait to see if others complain the same in a few days and look for possible solutions. Hope this helps

One simple test to confirm if it's screen burn is to temporarily move the home screen icons to a new location and see if they remain in the same location in the calculator.

You can try to fix this burn in by downloading some burn in fix apps from playstore. I really don't know how much this is effective but you can try it since it's free. That app needs to run for like an hour to be able to fix this issue if it's fixable...
It is definitely the screen burn issue. You just can't rectify it. Got to change the display panel. There will be many blogs online claiming to solve screen burn issue. But trust me nothing will work.

Nothing can be said for sure unless the op confirms he is on stock ROM, bad kcal settings can also cause this. Some users have claimed screen burn in pixel experience ROM which was gone after flashing stock.

I flashed tissot_images_V.9.5.10.0.ODHMIFA_8.0 it says stock rom from the Xiaomi Website because I think it might solve the problem but it's still in there, also the screen sometimes flashes and have 1 horizontal line. About my wifi, it seems that its not fixed by the May security patch coz it turns on and off again after using for a while.

I bought it in Naugat. It happened after I update to Oreo. I was also considering the fact that I already dropped it once but its not that hard.
Try a custom ROM like lineage, tinker some kcal settings, see if it helps. If you were on stock while this started then it's very likely a hardware issue. And if you can't claim warranty then the best option for you would be to tinker some stuff and see if it can reduce the issues making the device usable. Also make to read user feedback as roms like ressurection remix and aex are known to damage the persist partition.

what is your thought about my phone that is flashing with horizontal line and wifi disconnecting? anyway thank you very much for your responses
Hello Guys,
I am from India, I got the latest update attached screenshot.
I am facing few issues:-
The phone has become laggy in some departments such as:
1. The fingerprint mark stays on the screen after the screen unlocks.
2. Even after pressing the power button screen doesn't lock. The screen does black out but when I double tab on the screen it directly takes me to the home screen without showing the lockscree first. I am not using Google trusted location or devices to unlock without taking my fingerprint or face recognition.
3. When I try to dial a number it doesn't call at a single go, after pressing multiple times it calls the person whom I am trying to call. It looks very choppy as if the system responding to my commands little later.
4. Whenever I am trying to take the screenshot it doesn't take at a single go, after pressing multiple times the system recognises I am trying to take the screenshot and respond little later.
All the apps are working fine without any lags but the above said things are bothering me a lot.
I hope someone from XDA can assist me with this.
P.S.: I have tried to clear the cache from the boot screen. Also did a test on graphics from the same menu.

Thanks for your reply! I hope somebody facing similar problems has overcome and provide suggestions.
But Sammobile blog has also confirmed these issues.
II havent faced any of these issues post update.
Did you try doing a factory reset? If not, try the same if its not too much of an issue for you.
I have the same but I updated today over mobile data.
Came home and it started to behave like described above.
So I figured it is something with the updated WiFi drivers.
Switched off Wi-Fi and all seems fine now.

So, you're saying only the ppl that took the OTA are facing the issues? In that case i will probably try that then if the bug returns for me.
For now after switching WiFi On/Off for me it is gone.
Seen reports that plugging in the charger does the same.
Weird stuff indeed.
Also now i see a fellow Dutch, you by any change using Rabobank stuff (Wallet/App) with tripped KNOX and have no problems with it?

No, its possible that some users who do flash a rom with Odin could face some issues too but i personally don`t. I`am using the ABN bank app and i haven`t rooted for a long time now. I used to do it because of theming and getting updates/upgrades but nowadays i personaly don`t see a reason anymore to root anymore. So i can`t help you with your question.
I happened to flash "ASE5" build two ways :
1. First using ODIN 2 days back . Did a factory reset ,erased cache in recovery, reinstalled all apps & after setting them up:-
issues faced -> None.
2. Went back to previous "ASD5" build, downloaded the "ASE5 OTA" update and installed. Did a factory reset, erased cache in recovery, reinstalled all apps & after setting them up:-
issues faced so far -> None.
*One glitch I'm noticing from the beginning with "ASE5" :
When I click on my apps & games(playstore app>drop down menu on the left), it freezes for a split second while it takes into the main page. With all my effort, I could not fix it. (App cache cleaning only temporarily fixes this).

A split second delay bothers you? What apps are running in the background? Do you have the FaceBook app installed? How did you set your animations?

No it does not "bother"but is a step back in smoothness if that counts. It's a "difference" that I noticed since I was testing both builds back and forth for a comparison. Rest be assured that it's not related to apps installed and animations set.

Erase playstore cache and you won't even notice it for a while only to re-appear after sometime.
"Less noticiable" and "very much noticiable" in my usage in 1x & .5x respectively. In ASD5 build, this transition slips like a soap.
