I just switched to the S10+ from the S7 and i noticed in the samsung internet browser 9.0 does not have the video brightness and volume touch controls or gestures as they did in samsung internet 8.2. Am i just missing a setting or did they remove this feature? If they did remove it..is there a way to enable it or is there another browser that has these controls? Or maybe even a browser that allows to play a video on an external player like vlc?
I think its removed, can't find it on my Note 9 anymore. Really disappointed, was a great video player for the hub...

using PIE I went to tinytube.net and when I click Stream on any vid , it just goes to the next page and nothing happens at all !! , how do I enable windows media player to pickup these streams automatically?

I have clear type disabled, in PIE but it still does it, how do I disable it? ( or maybe smallest text option just looks like clear type is on)
Whenever I try to watch a video on youtube, it goes to real player which then says "media file type not supported."
I'd like to watch videos on youtube without using a third party browser such as Skyfire because that is more trouble than it's worth.
Is there a way to watch youtube using my stock browser?
AT&T Tilt Windows Mobile 6.1
Please reply, even if only to say "No."
Hi,
Was hoping for some recommendations of which media player to install, as using external storage seems to cause mx player to freeze when going back through sub folders on an external drive after watching something on it, and kodi looks to be better, primarily with its dts support unlike mx player, but is lacking settings to permanently disable/enable subtitles except through the players overlay, and as soon as I do that I can't get rid of it during playback, unless I am doing something wrong? Any other recommended apps to use, especially free streaming tv apps, though I will be using the pro more as a media player to be honest, as it supports hevc at 4k properly unlike my old droidbox which was a great little player and was always cool to the touch compared to the pro, which I assume is due to the fact that the pro just generates a lot more heat due to far more powerful components? Plus in regards to kodi, using the official shield remote once I access the menu overlay during playback I can't get rid of it when done, anyone know why/what setting is required to change it?
Dave.
Hi all, I'm actually coming from iphone, IOS. I was wondering is there a possible way for me to open video through browser like how iphone does? Iphone would like auto maximize the video on browser & resize the play button and easier fast-forwarding drag.
For example, in iphone for videos there are huge play button. When you click on it, it will auto maximize the whole screen and have the video running.
Samsung on the other hand, I can play the video. But I have to manually maximize the video and the play button would be so SMALL like i can't even click on it.
I'm loving this device but i hate this thing the most. argh.
If you turn your phone auto rotate on and turn the phone on its side, video will play full screen
Hello guys!
I made a short video in which we can see how to enable hidden Video Enhancer (HDR Effect) feature on Galaxy A Series running official Android 7.0 Nougat. When turned on, this feature enhances the image and sound quality of videos so that viewers are able to enjoy brighter and more vivid colors with clearer sounds.

I was wondering if you could summarize the trick by writing? Thanks.
does this only work with the native android video player or will it work with VLC, Netflix Hulu etc.....?

Hi everyone,
On any phone I have had to date, videos from the browser that I wanted to watch in full screen mode were played through a video player app. On the essential phone, they seem to be played within the browser still (tried chrome, Firefox, and others). The video quality is pretty poor this way and I was wondering if there was a no frills video player that could be configured Las the default app for watching full screen streaming videos from the browser, and how that would be configured.
I hope this makes sense. I was surprised to see no threads on this topic but I suppose the grainy video doesn't bother other people, or a solution has been found an I'm not using the right terminology.
Any guidance would be appreciated
Most any video player you had on those other phones would work with this one. I've not seen any issues with video playback but... "My legs are grey. My ears are gnarled. My eyes are old and bent."
I've downloaded several video player apps (mx player, vlc, sbs player, etc), but none of them will play the video in the browser unless I download it. On my Samsung s8, if I choose full screen on a video in chrome it will ask what video player I want to use, and I select Samsung video player to be the default. This doesn't happen on the essential phone.
When I download it, the quality is as poor as it is in the browser full screen mode. My guess on that is the resolution for the essential phone is being reported in metadat or something to chrome so it is downloading the video in the only encoding it can find that would support that dimension. That's a total guess, but it's the only thing I can think of that's very unique about the ph-1. Is there a way to disable the full screen mode or tell the browser that my display has different, more standard dimensions?
