I remember reading on the S8 Whirlpool forum people had flashed XSA onto Optus phones & also Kogan ones (but not sure of Kogan country source or exact S8 version or which CPU version, but should work I believe, so should be OK, but research for yourself. Those locked American carriers seem to cause a lot of hassle, not that I've much knowledge about them!)

Can't find Stock Firmware for dual Sim model SM935FD

Hi. I bought s7 edge in Thailand.
I was trying to find its stock firmware to get my phone a new fresh start. So far, I only found a link to Singapore firmware.
Here is from my phone
free upload
I heard you can flash single Sim firmware into dual one, but I was just afraid and prefer original firmware (before I root it soon hahaha)
Any idea where I can find one for my Thailand model.

OLB covering Malaysia/Philippines/Singapore/Thailand/Vietnam. I believe your latest update is of February 2016
Download Phone INFO Samsung from playstore and look for the active CSC. It has got a country shown as well.
I have a FD version as well with XME (Malaysia) CSC. But from what I have researched, for Galaxy S7 Edge specifically, Samsung has been releasing OTA updates (three times; once a month since Feb) for OJV countries (Algeria, Egypt, Iran, Iraq, Kuwait, Morocco, Nigeria, Oman, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia,South Africa, Syria, Tunisia, Turkey), XSG (united arab emirates) and EU countries (NEE=Netherland, DBT=Germany, LUX=Luxembourg so far)
I have decided to flash the DBT firmware as from the look of firmware updates trend, Galaxies with DBT receive the earliest and most frequent updates from Sammy. Everything is working fine. No Knox triggered. Not too sure about the warranty; i guess it doesn't matter that much since samsung only looks at whether your knox has been triggered.
Good luck
thank you
can I flash German firmware only PDA or i have to flash CSC and MODEM too?

S7 Edge (SM-G935F) OTA Updates

I bought my s7 edge from Saudi Arabia (UAE (XSG) made) while on holidays . I'm currently in june 1 security patch.
I'm staying in India now. I would like to know whether I'll be receiving OTA updates?
Please help me out with the query.
P.S I didn't root my phone, neither did I flash any other rom.

If your phone is still on original firmware (not flashed another one with Odin etc), then you'll receive OTA when available for CSC XSG
Thanks for the reply and Yeah! it's on original firmware. No changes made with root etc. But now when I look in Sammobile there has been a july security update (4th Jul OTA) for XSG S7 edge. But I haven't received it yet
Will you please help me figure this out?

Yep. Install this APP and it will show ya what CSC (country code) your device is using. I think you are wrong thinking that your device is XSG. (The CSC is not always equal to the country where you purchased the phone).
Cut-pasted the same reply but with quote down below. Please check

I have this app in phone. Mine is multi CSC. And the active one is XSG.
I would like to share with you the Phone INFO App screenshot, but I don't have permissions yet. So, here are the details shown:
Product Code: SM-G935FZSAXSG
Original CSC Code: < blank >
Firmware's CSC Code: XSG
Active CSC Code: XSG
Available CSC Codes : < 29 of them are present >
CSC Country: UAE/AE
Also,
Root Existence: No
Knox Warranty Void: 0x0
UPDATE: ah! I just connected my phone with smart switch. Its saying an update is available. Size: 2116 MB.
Now I'm seriosuly concerned why I'm not receiving OTA.

How to proceed with install branded ROM from my operator in order to get WifiCalling?

Hi Guys,
My telephone operator has run Wifi Calling feature only for branded phones from their own distribution (PLAY telecom from POLAND).
I have my Galaxy S7 EDGE from other distribution and other country.
I've found software from my operator here on UPDATO . COM portal
SM-G935F
Country/Region Poland (Play)
Product Code PRT
OS VersionMarshmallow(Android 6.0.1)
Release Date20.09.2016
PDAG935FXXU1BPH6
CSCG935FPRT1BPH1
PhoneG935FXXU1BPH1
This is exactly what I need and this can be awesome to run Wifi Calling by install branded software (they have other own implementations of WIFI Calling).
The question to you guys: How to proceed with the most clear installation to get software like in branded phones? What I should select in ODIN?
I have to clear all data and install above and change CSC to PRT because my phone has other CRC.
What do you thing? Is it make sense?
This is official software so I shouldn't lost warranty?
Thanks,
Mateusz
Looking for a similar answer for using T-mobile (US) network with the international S7 edge (SM-G935F).
The latest INS (india) firmware for G935F apparently had wifi calling support, any way I can make it work with my carrier in US?
Is that possible to check if below firmware is multi-csc or single csc and which csc are inculded inside?

SM-G950FD ARO region firmware doesn't exist

Hello fellas,
I have just bought a brand new S8 dual sim, or SM-G950FD, made in Vietnam.
After inserting the 4g chip, the device rebooted and downloaded the config for my mobile operator, which appears to be the config for the F variant and not the FD (see attachments below).
It works fine, but the region ARO (Argentina unbranded) does not have a firmware for this model, and the security patch is from August 2017. So the question is, can I flash the stock version for the FD, region XXV (Vietnam unbranded)? Or is it better if I try ZTO (Brazil unbranded)?
Moderator from Sammobile said firmware from any region for this model should work, as long as the PDA and CSC contain FXX and OMX on their codes respectively.
Could you please help me out a little?
Thanks!
2nd attempt to add screenshots.
There is no need to flash anything if your phone is running ok. I have the duo in the UAE and it also shows only "F" not "FD".
I was getting security updates almost every month but not since August.

S7 Edge debrand and use in other country

Hi, I have a S7 Edge witch is from Vodafone UK and I want to use it in Poland, it is a good idea to flash this firmware?:
Model SM-G935F
Model name Galaxy S7 edge
Country Poland
Version Android 7.0
Changelist 12365438
Build date Tue, 17 Oct 2017 05:28:35 +0000
Security Patch Level 2017-10-01
Product code XEO
PDA G935FXXU1DQJ3
CSC G935FXEO1DQJ3
I also want to get rid of Vodafone stuff (debrand), and use is like a unlocked device, non-rooted, official, receive ota updates etc...
There are some risks if I flash other country firmware in country specific device? should not do that?
It is better to look for SM-935U firmware and flash this?
The device is network locked and I will unlock it with NCK code, I will be able to use it in Poland with any SIM?
Thank you all.
I think I posted in wrong place. can someone move it please?
