I forgot to include this, I forgot to include a lot of information (please don't hate me) the pre-made tars were for 5.11, this guide was originally for 5.1.1 but when I updated this I was not paying attention and all I thought that is that it would work right away like a complete idiot.
Listen to @lilrowrow as he may be correct, if not you have to use a kernel for your device that is FOR 6.0.1..

^^ This guide was originally written for a 5.1.1 update to the S6 (SK) a few months back, the SAME method should be able to be applied to 6.0.1 you just need to use a 6.0.1 kernel for YOUR device or TRY to not use one at all, however the method is very similar.
New firmware was made for the Galaxy S6 and S6 edge (G920S) which you can flash in odin the new update has the new Note 5/S6 edge+ UI and other features. I will be showing you how to flash it on any S6 or S6 edge!
Why would you need to do this? Simple, because if you just tried to flash this firmware on a normal S6 or S6 edge in odin you will get a FAIL! All we are doing is flashing just the main files and not the bootloader, e.t.c
You now only need to do this guide if you are on a T-Mobile S6 or S6 edge or you have an international S6 EDGE phone/925I and want the s6 edge features.
You can download the tar I premade so you don't have to use this guide (only for non Tmobile/W8 variants unless you don't want call audio)
Download my premade tar for the S6 flat (flashable on edge) based off of South Korean firmware. 5.1.1
Download my premade tar for the S6 edge (flashable on flat) based off of South Korean firmware. 5.1.1 not 6.0.1
*New* Download my premade tar for the S6 flat (flashable on edge) based off of international firmware not South Korean) 5.1.1 not 6.0.1
EDIT: The S6 edge permade tar based off of international firmware will be coming soon, for now use the South Korean one, the only difference is the extra bloat.
I used unikernel so it should work on any model including the G920T but if you use it on the 925T or 920T or W8 models then call audio wont work and you will need to follow this guide. The reason is unikernel and the call audio fix don't work well together it has tons of glitches the only kernel the call audio fix works on is arters kernel and he doesn't want anyone to redistribute it ;( so you need to make your own tar manually with his kernel which I talk about doing in the guide I also give you links to the kernel. If you are on any other S6 or S6 edge besides W8 and T-mobile then you can flash away from the link I posted earlier call audio works right away but remember you can flash it on the S6 edge you just wont have the edge features. If you need the edge features use the guide below I wrote for you!
Once again if you have the 920/25T or 920/25W8 and you want call audio follow this guide don't flash my premade tar use step 6.1 instead of 6 and follow step 15!
YOU NEED TO BE ON THE 5.1.1 BASEBAND I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANYTHING THAT HAPPENS TO YOUR DEVICE YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!
TESTED ON G920T, G920F
THE FINGERPRINT SCANNER IS WORKING!!!
Step 1
Head over to SamMobile and download the firmware for the S6 flat Mirror
For the S6 edge
Firmware for S6 edge is here! Mirror
Step 2
Once the firmware is downloaded leave it in the downloads folder and download Cygwin terminal
Download Cygwin
When cygwin is installed open it and close it (I don't know why but certain folders didn't show up until I did that)
Step 3
Navigate to C:\cygwin64\home\(Your name)\
Step 4
Extract the firmware we downloaded earlier and you will get the .tar.md5 file rename it so the extension is just .tar
Step 5
Open the .tar file with winrar and extract system.img, and recovery.img
Step 6 (International/K/I/L only)
Download Unikernel for your S6 edge (only if you're getting S6 edge features for international devices only, not for W8/Tmus) Download Unikernel
Step 6.1 (T-mobile only)
Use @arter97's kernel Download arters kernel for S6 flat use this even if you're using the G925S firmware but your actual hardware is S6 flat.
For S6 edge users on tmobile/W8 use the same kernel but this is the link to the edge version of @arter97's kernel Download arters S6 edge kernel use that even if you're using the S6 flat korean firmware but your actual hardware is the S6 edge.
Step 7
When you have the ZIP/tar to the kernel you downloaded extract the boot.img from the zip/tar to the folder I mentioned earlier where system.img and recovery.img are.
Step 8
Open cygwin terminal and type
Code:
tar -H ustar -c recovery.img boot.img system.img > Update.tar
When that is done (make take 3-5 minutes) drag the newly created .tar file to your desktop it will be located exactly where the system.img, boot, and recovery were located (C:\cygwin64\home\(Your name)\)
Step 9
Go on your phone and enter download mode don't forget to download and extract odin to your desktop Odin Download
Step 10
Open odin and click AP make sure re-partition is UNCHECKED! <- I cannot express that enough
Step 11
Select the Update.tar which was on your desktop (or somewhere else) and click start IT IS NOW FLASHING!
Step 12
When the .tar file is finished flashing and your phone starts to reboot hold volume down and power while its booting into the newly installed firmware and wait for the phone to turn off when you see a black screen quickly switch to volume up and power and home to enter recovery mode
Step 13
When you are in recovery mode use the volume up and down keys to select wipe data and factory reset then when that is done wipe cache.
Step 14
Reboot and enjoy!
*Step 15 (only if you have a G920T or W8)
Flash TWRP in odin and then reboot into recovery and flash this Download the call audio fix this is not made by me it is made by Mr. X Link to call audio fix original thread
Remember everything is working including the fingerprint scanner you can use this until @arter97 releases the update then I strongly recommend flashing his Note 5 ROM
Note 5 ROM thread link
I also recommend the S6E+ ROM if you are on the S6 edge that can be found here:
Link to S6E+ ROM thread for normal S6E
EDIT: ADDED SCREENSHOTS

Good news! Soon G92xF and G92xI will be able to flash just one .tar file and the update will be installed they still have to perform a wipe in recovery I will editing the guide soon remember if you're on T-Mobile or have a W8 model you will have to follow the guide sorry.
ethanscooter said:
If you are an edge user and want to flash my file that I will be uploading soon I will only be uploading the S6 flat tar "port" with unikernel that means it will flash perfectly fine but you edge features wont work unless you make your own .tar with the guide!

Remember unikernel supports these models "Galaxy S6 920 F / I / S / K / L / T / W8" "Galaxy S6 925 F / I / S / K / L / T / W8" <-taken from his thread, anyways that means that when you flash my tar file it will work with unikernel but if you try flashing the call audio fix then its really glitchy and crashes and sometimes the phone reboots out of nowhere and the only kernel I know of that doesnt crash the phone when you flash the call fix on tmobile is arters awesome kernel but he doesn't want anyone to redistribute it, its all a matter of do you want call audio on your G920T or 25T or not...other models don't have this problem...Also the guide supports any of the models that unikernel supports the original unikernel thread can be found Here

Edit: According to @okolobaccess the RAM issue is fixed in this version.
Edit2: I added a mirror on Step 1 just click the word mirror next to the sammobile link I made the mirror because SamMobile is really slow at the moment.

Hi friend, thanks for your tip!
I was thinking here: if i'm follow your instructions, using files from my S6 Edge SM-G925i (recovery.img, boot.img and etc..), the system file from SM-G920S (system.img) and create a new tar files to flash in odin, you think i'll void my knox counter? Doing this, i assuming that i'm only changing the system.img and creating my own firmware file, no?
Thanks

knox will trip either way and when you use the stock kernel on this you will get stuck at the Galaxy S6 splash screen but let me tell you a little secret in the U.S (I dont know about other countries) I have returned phones for warranty with knox tripped once I had flashing problems with an LG phone and I had trouble with the flash tool so I took it to best buy they tried wiping it and when the tried to wipe it, it booted into TWRP and they didn't even care they said it was "defective" and gave me a new phone no problem! You should not be scared of tripping your KNOX counter just use a strong case and try not to brick it this method shouldn't brick your phone though.
When you are done flashing report back so I can add your model number to the list of devices its been tested on!
Now I'm wondering if you flash this bootloader under BL in odin then do follow my guide will knox still trip? Someone try this its for the S6 and Edge on T-Mobile http://androiding.how/root-t-mobile-s6-and-s6-edge-on-5-1-1-without-tripping-knox-counter/ (sboot.bin is the bootloader) I would try it but I already tripped knox.

Why??: if i update to the 5.1.1 and need root, only way is change the kernel. If i change kernel, this will trip my knox and prevent me to use the "private mode" because the system will show me the status "Permissive"...understand my afraid? kkkkk

I just realized the only reason I had to make this long guide is because I wanted to use @arter97's kernel but I just realized non-tmobile variants have to use unikernel anyways so I could just make the long guide for tmobile users and then make the flashable tar myself with unikernel as the boot.img for international and 920I variants and then add at the top "if you have an international or 920i/925i S6 you can just flash this *insert link to the file I uploaded here* but if you have a T-Mobile/W8 S6 please follow this guide". Do you think that would work, buddy?

If you use the system.img file from THIS ROM, as we commented above, i think so! :good:
Hi all today ı will show you how to downgrade to lolipop
First this files are needed for downgrading
1-Combination (Factory Binary Rom)
G925F with 5th security patch http://www.dosyaupload.com/19oL
G925F with 4th security patch http://www.dosyaupload.com/19oM
G920F with 5th security patch http://www.dosyaupload.com/19oN
G920F with 4th security patch http://www.dosyaupload.com/19oO
download the one for your model and you need utorrent or bittorrent to download this files
2-4 File Lolipop Rom
G920F/I:http://samfirm.net/threads/full-galaxy-s6-g920f-g920fxxu3coi9-btu-android-5-1-1-12-25-2015.3/
i couldnt find one for edge
Now Start
1-Flash combination Rom
2-Flash the 4 files lolipop rom without bootloader
3-Flash latest marshmallow modem
now you are done
Bugs
1-No fingerprint
2-Sometime gives errors dont boot etc..
3-İt is an engineering bootloader so there are green writings while booting
I am not responsible for any damages that caused by this method and ı am not forcing you to do this.
You are doing this at your own responsibilities
Make a backup of your system and all stuff like efs modem etc..

Flash latest modem and it Will be fine
I need combination files with security patch 6 (G920F) Anyone can help ?
So yesterday I updated from Nougat (not rooted) to Oreo. After I updated I had some issues with my SIM. Basically most of the time I get "Out of service/Not registered in the Network". The SIM is working fine in other Phones. Already tried a reformat (with Stock Recovery) did not help.
So can I just use Odin v3.12 and the S8 Nougat files and flash them?
Will it brick If I do it?
The Oreo Firmware (and my phone) has no carrier. (DBT, Germany)
Same goes for the Nougat Firmware.
Thanks

- SM-G950F
- Exynos variant

I bought my mobile from UAE and am using it in india. When i compare my s10 plus with s10 indian variant , s10 front camera quality far beter than my s10 plus.so i m planning to flash indian region os using odin and have some doubt on this. Please some one clear my doubts
1. Will knox service get tripped, if i flash indian os using odin.?
2. Is this issue occurs due to different region os or hardware fault
3. If knox gets tripped, will it be fixed later ?

Yes you will get OTA after flashing a stock firmware using Odin
Use the main CSC file (not the HOME-CSC) if changing region
I always enable OEM Unlock in developer options before attempting to change CSC with Odin (disable OEM Unlock again after you have completed flash to enable full security)
You can only flash a firmware file that matches your model Variant
E.g. you cannot flash 975F firmware to an 975U model etc
Finally be aware your phone will be wiped after the flash completes so backup everything before you start. Good luck
Thanks a lot for your reply. And i am not get your points about CSC...can you please explain little more

Firmware for Odin flash contains 2 CSC files. The HOME_CSC file will NOT erase your device, the CSC one will. However as you are changing CSC code it is best to use the normal CSC file and allow your device data to be erased as it’s not a good idea to mix data and settings between different firmware
Hope this helps and good luck
Thanks for your reply
Hello everyone. I'm new here. I wanted to know if I can change my S7 edge (exynos) sm-g935fd firmware from UAE to India. I am currently on Oreo G935FXXS8ETCA Xsg which has bootloader 8 if I'm not wrong, but I want to install ins firmware G935FODD7ETA1 also Oreo which has bootloader 7 . Is this switch possible?
P.s. I want to change firmware bcoz I am not getting volte on my phone. I've tried a few things without any luck. And the only solution seems to be to change my CSC. Any help will be appreciated.

P.s. I want to change firmware bcoz I am not getting volte on my phone. I've tried a few things without any luck. And the only solution seems to be to change my CSC. Any help will be appreciated.

As far as I know you can't downgrade due to antirollback protection. I don't imagine switching firmwares would work very well at all

It not a rollback technically it's more of a sideways move but I might be wrong. Is it because of the older bootloader on the firmware I want to switch to?
Thanks for the reply.

If you attempt to switch your bootloader to an older version it can cause a hard brick putting the device into EDL mode but I do believe you can switch the system a bit
So there is no way to change the firmware? Is there any way I can get volte

You should be able to swap the system partition and CSC to something else as long as your not in any kind of Android Verified Boot
I don't know what that is. But I've only been using stock ROMs from ota updates. My phone isn't rooted either. I just want to activate volte on my phone. I would really appreciate if you could help me.
Btw thanks for the prompt replies.

You're absolutely welcome! I'll have a search around Google and maybe point you into the right direction. I'm sure there is a flashable firmware for Odin (combo-firmware) that enables this
EDIT:
Because your on an International chipset (Exynos) you can actually flash a custom OS which supports the Volte. Just ensure you've taken the steps to unlock the bootloader through the developer options in settings (enable OEM unlock)
Don't unlock your bootloader and dont root your phone
if something goes wrong the EFS patition will corrupt and you are on U8
U7 combination firmware is not available and we dont know when will it will be available
you have to download U8 rom and flash home csc from U7 INS (latest software available for India)
it will enable Volte on your phone
make sure to tick nand erase when flashing Autoboot and f.reset time

Unlocking and root have nothing to do with the EFS partition. Sounds like you may have did something like modifying it and caused data to be corrupt and you never kept a backup.

its the easiest method to get INS VOLTE on UAE Exynos Model
My phone is running smooth but efs is corrupted that makes S/N No. none and no network

Lets hope for U7 and U8 combination firmware
Thanks for the help. Really
Volte used to work before the Oreo update. And won't a custom ROM trip my Knox? (I use secure folder). I recently tried to flash a stock ROM with modified CSC file to get volte working on my S6 g920f. But it didn't work. It tripped my Knox and now my short codes don't work and CSC shows blank. Calls work though. But no volte.

You can wait for the INDIAN U8 STock and then flash it on your device with Home CSC which will surely enable volte
Remember With Nanderase f.reset time and auto reboot
Don't trip your knox i regret it!!
I would wait too if you trip Knox with a warranty then your SOL. If your lucky you won't be it's best to wait for the firmware
Well I am waiting till there is a stock firmware. But I don't think there will be an official update seeing as it's an old model phone and the official software support is only 2 or 3 years from the company. So fingers crossed. I might flash the ins version and try to make it work if I get a new phone and my S7 will become a spare.
And thanks for the help guys ?.
Now I'm thinking of flashing a custom ROM on my S6. Let's see ....
