Not only custom ROM, I think custom kernel also plays a very important role in battery life...

Hey guys! How is your One+ behaving? Does it sleep like a baby? mine does depending on the moment. usually I do not get more than 85% of deep sleep. Do you think it is normal? Phone wakes up randomly when it should be in deep sleep. Let's share our thoughts about this.
My OP5 arrived on Tuesday this week.
Charged it and did a basic set-up the next morning. Left the phone on, and went to work. Returned home about 10 hours later and the phone drained from 100% --> 94%
But like I say, that was just a basic set-up. As soon as I install FB, etc... I can see more battery drainage occurring.
U gotta edit some kernel settings to turn off some wakelocks. Or wait for franco.

It's similar for me now. I used to use a foreign sim card and I thought that the drain was due to it. Now I have a sim from the current country I am living in and it's exactly the same, so I do not know if there is any problem or the people who say that have 7 hours SOT lie.

I actually have gotten 7 hours almost. 3 mins shy. I applied my usual settings and this sot is with 9 and a half hours idle time.

I think that I could do it, but if I have 24 hours idle time my SOT time is going to be 5 hours, more or less. I think it is not bad.

Yea because if you use your phone on and off its gonna wait a while before it stops the cpu so more battery will consume itself to fuel that. You can't expect perfection on a lith ion battery

I need help regarding the battery life of samsung galaxy s4(i9506). The max screen on time i get from my phone is 2 hours max. Is it normal? My usuage is normal like whstapp,facebook, chrome, songs and 4g and wifi on. No matter what i do it is the max i get. I tried many roms but still the result is same. So is it the limit of 2 hours of sot in s4(i9506) or some of you get more than that. Please tell me what to do, i heard some people get 4-5 hours of sot. Turn your brightness down. Check background app usage, customize syncing, freeze or uninstall unused apps/app services. Go easy on data usage in areas with a weak signal. Polling kills your phone quick. Get a portable power supply

It depends. Today at work, It was off charge for 9 hrs, 2hrs remaining. Screen on about 2 hrs. Email, calls, imgur, reddit, calculator

I changed the original battery for another of 7600mah because it had a short duration. now I arrive at 9 hours of screen with the maximum brightness and Wi-Fi on. The only drawback of changing the battery for a bigger one is that the phone gets fatter

Your phone is running stock firmware, right?
My phone is E330S, korean version of s4 LTE A, hardware is the same. And normally I can get > 3h onscreen without gaming (stock firmware).
If you are running AOSP base rom, I can't tell.
I think you should buy a new battery.

I am using aspire team c9 port rom with default setting
No teak, nothing.....should buying a new battery will give me nore than 3 h sot

Try using another rom like los 14.1 or 15.1 with greenify and amplify and also use open gapps pico for minimal battery consumption.
It's amazing how much we actually use our phones in a given day, especially when we watch "videos"! Rate this thread to express how many hours of screen-on time you can get on the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S before depleting the battery.
Then, drop a comment if you have anything to add!
With the latest EU rom (8.4.12), I got around 8.5 hours to do the web surfing through wifi (no video, audio) with the auto brightness about 50%.
Hope it helps.
I lost about 1% battery for every 5.3-5.6 minutes to be precised.

If you use it all the time you get 5-7h SOT easily, however if you don't use it much you get around 4h because (at least for me) there's always some drain on latest china rom. I have to wait until the bootloader is unlocked to test it with xiaomi.eu or global rom

I have problems with latest EU rom (8.4.28) which based on China Dev 8.4.26, my phone become unbearable lag and slow down.
They did something wrong with 8.4.26 kernel....

Try rolling back to 8.4.12, I've heard it's much more polished overall.
BTW, battery life on official Xiaomi Global ROM is beyond fantastic, I'm straight shocked.

With the latest Chinese ROM I was getting the usual 5-6h of SOT with exactly the same setup as I have now with the Global ROM.

Hi, anyone using the global edition, where the unit is not pre-flashed by vendors? just wondering how the battery life is compared to the mix 2, oneplus 6 and p20 pro.
GSM arena currently shows the mix 2s as having really bad battery endurance. but im assuming that was the china rom. Anyone can validate?

Same here, but I've never got more than 6h SOT with 24h usage
I don't game much, the heaviest use i gave it was the camera. No NFC, bluetooth or gps. Just regular use,like 2 to 3 hours of YouTube, Facebook, watching movie or anime and lots of web browsing get me 8 hours at least on every charge.
Hi, I've had my Mi Mix 2s for a couple months now. I have the 256gb variant, still rocking the chinese rom. Max screen on time I get with the phone is 3 and a half/ 4 hours.
Judging from other people's reviews thats much lower than average. So I'm wondering if anyone has any tips to try improve it? Does the global rom help improve it?
I'm with Global rom miui 10 beta and battery is bad I get max 5h of use and even before with miui 9 it was not great also. Great phone all good except the battery at least for me coming from OnePlus 5 and 5t.

I got a Redmi Note 7 about 2 weeks ago, so far everything is perfect, except the battery, it's not bad but I was expecting way more from what i've heard and what i've seen from others, playing a simple little game (WiFi, gps and everything else 'off') and the battery lost 10% in 30min, so I just wanted to know if the problem is from my side only or if many of you are facing the same issue and what's the solution.
Note: I have a global version with the latest update 10.3.5.0.

Wasn't droping that much for the same situation before.
Games drain Battery, 10/100 on 30 minutes = 5h SOT, supposant you Don't play games all the day ur battery will last like at least 8 hours, it seems ok for me.

7 hours atleast. That's what I get with COD.
Use any ROM you prefer (I use PixysOS) with Stardust kernel. BB is great.
Let me know the best rom for our beast as I'm using pixel experience and am not satisfied with it
Evolution X, 3 days standby and around 1-2 days of normal usage. Not sure about heavy gaming but I think around 5-8 hours of CODM on highest setting possible on this phone.
