Hi everyone,
I got a Redmi Note 7 about 2 weeks ago, so far everything is perfect, except the battery, it's not bad but I was expecting way more from what i've heard and what i've seen from others, playing a simple little game (WiFi, gps and everything else 'off') and the battery lost 10% in 30min, so I just wanted to know if the problem is from my side only or if many of you are facing the same issue and what's the solution.
Note: I have a global version with the latest update 10.3.5.0.

Wasn't droping that much for the same situation before.
Games drain Battery, 10/100 on 30 minutes = 5h SOT, supposant you Don't play games all the day ur battery will last like at least 8 hours, it seems ok for me.

Hi there guys!
I just bought an used Note 3 N9005, from Orange, running Lollipop LRX21.
The thing is that.. the battery runs way toooo fast! Last night, around 1 AM, I went to bed.. the phone had 100% battery, and when I woke up, around 9 AM.. the battery was already at 92%
The phone had the wifi on... and that's all..
What should I do ? My last phone was an LG G2... and by the night.. from 100% it went no more than 1% until the morning.
LOL! 1% per hour is nothing at all to worry about mate. Maybe some task/ process is going on background or something, install Better Battery Stats and monitor. You can barely control Android, any background might run at any time, you normally can't control that. Or you can use Xposed and then install Power Nap and Amplify to lower the number of those background processes, but how Xposed is on 5.0 TouchWiz ROMs, well I won't recommend that.

Thank you! I Will install that app. But I find it weird.. to "eat" 1% per hour.. because on my old Nexus 5, and LG G2, both with Lollipop.. it was no more than 1% or 2% per night.. And thinking that the Note 3 has a huge 3200mah battery... that drives me crazy!

I've got 1% per hour too and my battery is 2 years old
Tonight I'm going to test it with my new battery, see what's the difference
Looking forward to see ur results.. because I want to know if I have to buy a new battery or not

I have multiboot, I got CM12.1 Note5 and CM13 rom haha
But I used cm12.1 last night

So after installing B151 update my battery sucks.Before update i could get about 5-6 hrs screen on time now cant even 4.So is somebody experiencing anything similar?

After update I have 1h screen / 10% battery . Maybe try to factory reset.

But that problem was not due to apps ,only aftet B151 update
not sure if it will work for you but battery fix pro solved my problem with battery drain, just charge to 100% then press calibrate..restart ..then go back to app and press fix battery drop ? worth a try

After tweaking ,unninstalling,optimising device im happy to say that this day was great.Even on data always on,hard usage,always messaging(viber,whatsapp,messenger),some gaming,streaming,snapchat,instagram..this is great!

Basic tweaks in no-rooted range. Using phone manager to optimise apps behavior,only 2 protected apps,deleted system apps and games and basic stuff like that
Yesterday I changed my battery as it was lasting little time. And after doing so the new one doesn't charge up to 100%. Is there any solution forma this?
I am on the lastest lineage OS nigthly

How much Sot was your old battery giving and how much old was it?
It's completely normal with new battery,from where you bought it?

It was giving me almost 2h 30min, and it was two years old. It was the one that came with the phone.
I bought it from, powerplanetoneline a store un spain. It supossed to be original

All batteries say so but all goes in vein after changing them.

I don't think doing any SW related stuff will do anything so you just have to wait and judge till you get current sot your new battery giving irrespective of full charge.
Also,how much time you waited to see if your old battery actually has a life before you changed it? I mean you obviously judge atleast 10 days before changing to see if its actually happening everytime after using any custom kernels or so,right?
I hace been testing diferent roms and kernels since dicember. Because I wanted to improve battery life. However I am not getting, the same SOT as other people says. In fact I get much less SOT thar everybody. So i decided to change muy battery

Yes 2-2:30 hrs of SOT is too low to accept.Till then test your new battery.

I had the same issue. To solve this issue
Drain your phone to 0% by playing games or music or anything you wish to
Now after the phone turns off itself, plug in your charger and let it charge over night(dont turn on your phone after connecting to charger)
Wake up in the morning and turn on the phone and use again till it becomes 0% again and after that charge it as you do normally and check if 100% shows up!

Just wanted to point out, without evidence yet, that battery life on Nougat (Concept update 38.3.A.0.107) is amazing. I'm talking about days here.

Just a quick update with a screenshot. Just 2h short of a day with 14% to go, the mostly horizontal part of the graph happened when I was asleep.
SOT for that is 3h13m

Maybe I'm coming from a terrible phone and this seems very good then.
Nevertheless, I can tell you for sure that my phone isn't dropping 10% batt in 5min SOT.

well now that I have applied some fixes and calibration it isn't in mine either. I am not sure really, but 3 hours of SOT is just not good, and Im coming from a bad phone too
I'm thinking x-reality might be disabled afteryour update. My screen takes up 30 percent battery with x-reality on.
I never havwe x reality on.. seriously yoy think I didnt check it or what

With poison i have more than 6 hours SOT. Without any mods. With the original rom i had 5 and a half hours SOT.
I dont understand.. my phone is brand new, I have optimasations, underclock and everything except wifi is off.. what am I doing wrong? I have also calibrated the battery, full discharge ans full charge, its not any app im using since with stock and. nothing. installed battery runs the same.. Also the camera is worse after the drm fix than before drm fix (too much noise) the hell is wrong with my phone??

you too are in concept rom? because that is standard now battery going way too fast, try installing gsam app and give permissions via adb so you can check which app is consuming too much power, i have done it but i still can't figue out what is causing it

No, I am using the poison nougat rom. Actually, I have been using gsam for 2 weeks I think, just like you I cannot find the problem. My SOT is 3 hours, 4 hours at best. And keep in mind that is with very simple usage , not any intense apps or games

As I have said again, even in stock rom I have the same results... that makes me worry. I hope its not a hardware problem

Every phone has these kind of problems
My battery life is shocking. I do use my device a lot so it's understandable.
There is battery tweaks out there to help people with problems. Someone will bring something out or find something for our devices

Correct, but in our case it is beyond normal. 3 hours O-S-T is not normal for this phone in any case

Oh yeah agree but it's not like there's loads of reported cases there's less than on handful just on our threads.

Yeah, I understand what you mean, the problem here is that we do not know if it's connected to software (or somehow to the bootloader / root probably not though) or if it's the actual phone being faulty. I doubt it's faulty, I have absolutely no problems apart from the drainage

Is there a faster way to charge a huawei p9 lite? Or at least make the battery last longer
Unfortunately u can't charge faster. Even if you buy a 2A power adapter...it will charge with 1A. And about battery life...i think it's pretty amazing.. I mean....my battery lasts about 2 days..2 days and a half..that's pretty amazing!

umm because you're on beta? or probably your battery is faulty. Idk. In my personal experience, after upgrading to N B361, everything seems smoother, especially the ram, battery and ui. No it's not just placebo effect, really more ram freed after every time I clear and battery management is better.
