Verizon and Best Buy Confirm No Release Date..yet

I was curious about the release date in best buy and Verizon stores of the note 4.Since I seen 17th and 23rd.. so I tweeted both on Twitter about this question. and I got a surprising response..

It's the 23rd. Why would Verizon advertise the 23rd if it wasn't? Nothing to gain and they actually lose to every other US carrier that's getting it the 17th. We just need to accept this already

A number of the Korea and China market devices have already been rooted; however, there's no guarantee those methods will even work for the Verizon device until its released and people have an opportunity to fiddle with it.
Also, right on VZW's site it says the 23rd. No reason to doubt that. There's no requirement for multiple carriers to release a device all on the same day, no matter how annoying that might be.

I agree that the rooting of those Asian phones may be of no help to us.
The 23d is two weeks away! The store has ads pushing note edge.

T-Mobile started sending those who pre ordered, text messages that their devices have shipped.

why dont you go for t mobile rather than verizon? they already giving who had pre ordered.

I was more curious of people on this forum stating that best buy said they will have all carriers on the 17th ..

This was on the BB Website... Nothing on the Verizon Note

I pre ordered my Note 4 through Verizon, and when I called and spoke with a Verizon Rep, I inquired about the release date of the Galaxy Note 4. After he looked into his computer, he informed me that the release date of the phone was Oct. 17th... and that the date on my Pre Order receipt which was listed as Oct. 23, was in fact the latest ETA in which I may receive my device. But I've also been hearing rumors that the US could get its shipment a few days earlier than the 17th... I hope those rumors turn out to be true

Considering that Samsung prints an exclusion for Verizon, and states everything prior to the 23rd is a PRE order, its not likely they are showing up until then.
Other carriers will have it on the 17th, so we have to wait.

I have faith. Even as I ordered in store the guy told me they give that date out just to cover themselves. He seemed very confident I would receive it sooner. I'll only know when I notice they charge my card for the remaining balance I have after using my wifes $200 promo from her iphone 6.

I finally got my pre-order done through Best Buy local store after much hassle and run-around (see my other posts in the Best Buy Promotion... what is going on thread).
Anyhow as of yesterday when I completed the pre-order in person and purchased the $50 gift card, I was specifically told they were getting ALL pre-orders in on the 17th and expect it then.
With what all I've been through with a lot of mis-information mainly based on their trade-in policy and pre-order availability in the past week and a half, I'm not holding my breath for that date in reality. :silly:

Rumors eh? No offense, but rumors from who? Be happy if it doesn't get pushed back right before release like it did in the UK.

Best Buy and Verizon have a date and that is 10/23. Several stores each and same answer. Ditto for customer service, so not sure why people would think at this current time no confirmed date and it ain't this week.

because people want to wish their phones would come early then get upset when it's not here the 17th and start badmouthing verizon because of it despite the fact verizon never once said the 17th and always stuck to the 23rd lol

That is true. The only date I have heard from Verizon is 10/23 and Best Buy are now saying the same thing. My guess is some BB staff and customers assumed that since the other devices are around 10/17, must be the same for VZW.
Verizon has never deviated from 10/23 and Best Buy had no date until last week. Ditto for the $200 terms that specify contract-only for the Best Buy offer. That popped up early last week too.

The Galaxy Note 4 goes Live on Oct 17 for all carriers in store. Verizon ships the Note 4 on Oct 23. Verizon confirmed this in September.

Who else ordered a VZW phone from best buy? either on contract, monthly, or full price?
I did full price and the site said it will be delivered on 3/11/16, release date. i had two CSR reps confirm this via both live chat, and email.
then, some reddit users are saying their reps saying it may not even ship UNTIL the 11th, meaning we may not get it until 5-7 days AFTER release date! this is absolutely ridiculous, so when I emailed back, they stated that yeah, it could either be there the 11th, or later. wtf? come on best buy. i've never pre-ordered from them before, but every other store gets you pre-orders ON release date.
i was going to do in store pickup instead of shipping, but apparently in store pickups aren't even guaranteed when you do a pre-order! you could get there and the s7 might not even be in stock!
man, i have elite status through best buy rewards too, so you'd think i'd get SOME kind of preferential treatment! hmm.

I ordered full price. Ordered the first 7 minutes site went live on Feb 23. Curious if anyone else's preorder has changed status now that tmo, Sprint and att have shipped or are shipping.

Same here. Pre ordered on Feb 27th.

My credit card showed an authorization amount for my purchase for several days but Best Buy let it expire without billing. My order status still shows "awaiting authorization" as well. (I ordered on release day)

best buy is calling people to pickup in store orders tomorrow..so they better ship it tomorrow!

mine is still as processing as well

so, i just talked to a rep on CS. he told me at first that i should have it by the 11th, then said, hold on, and checked into my status saying that it was requested to ship today, the 6th. he then said to just keep an eye out on the account to see if it ships.
oh and i just checked, the free SD card is updated to preparing for shipment, but the rest are still as pre ordered. he said they all have hte same status on his end though, so he thinks the site is just still updating. cool.

US Unlocked S8 & S8+ Waiting time

Those who preordered or ordered the US Version of the S8 or S8+, how long did it take before you got it? I ordered mine (Model # SM-G955UZKAXAA) on May 31st directly through Samsung and I haven't even gotten a tracking number yet however I can simply walk into any Best Buy in my area and pick one up. I'm thinking of cancelling the order and just doing that.

I just ordered the unlocked version too from samsung.com and I did the trade in thing with my Note 5 and received 300.00 trade in value, but told me should ship in 1-3 days, I have too noticed that best buy has them in stock, but i wanted to just trade in my Note 5, I would be on the phone with them about it if I was you, also my order is suppose to ship 2nd day air, what type of shipping did you get with yours?

They are shipping 2nd day air but it has been a week now and still no sign of it being shipped. I called them last night and the rep said they weren't on backorder so I don't know what's taking them so long. She said I should be getting a tracking number today but still haven't gotten anything. I'm ready to cancel my order and get something else.

Yeah if mine doesn't ship by Friday I might just cancel mine, they should should be able to contact the warehouse see whats going on, unless yours just got lost at the warehouse, but Samsung wants to sell phones then they need to get there act together and ship orders promptly.

I know. We spend 800 something on a phone and the service is awful.

Ordered the S8+ 64GB (Unlocked), Model Number: SM-G955UZKAXAA, ( SM-955U1 ), through my Samsung account.
Ordered June 5th (evening after 5pm)
Confirmed June 6th
Shipped June 7th (picked up by FedEx @ 5:39pm in Indianapolis using 2nd Day shipping)
Tracking number states it will arrive June 9th between 9:45am-1:30pm. (North Florida)
Indirect signature is required. You, your neighbor, apt. office manger, etc. or sign door tag for delivery on the next attempt if they miss you. I have a FedEx Delivery Manager account but can't electronically sign it for this particular shipment like I can with my UPS account. I am leaving a signed signature waiver release form for both the phone and the separately shipped nano SIM card. If I'm not there and they don't accept my signature release form, it will probably be Monday before I get it.

Wouldn't you know it. I finally got my tracking number six business days later. I should have the phone in two days.

yeah I just woke up to email stating my has shipped and should be here Friday with indirect signature, so I will have to type up and sign a release and hope they take it.

FedEx accepted the my signature waivers and the S8+ was delivered as scheduled at 10:30am on June 9th. It was about 3.5 days from the time I submitted the order until it arrived at my front door.

Yeah I walked into best buy and bought one. Then went back 3 days later for the $100 credit from the price drop.

I'm sitting on the back ordered list. I have the $100 off plus the $200 trade in for any smartphone. I don't want to walk away from such a great discount.

UK Pre-orders

Usually I'm quick to pre order but this time was a bit too late to the game, tried to order the 128gb variant on the Samsung UK store, but didn't work. Shows 21st of March as the earliest delivery date and then when you add to basket, it removes it saying there's no stock even though the first page shows there is.
How has everyone else's experience been in the UK, where did your preorder from and when do you expect yours to be delivered?

The discount is what made me order, been saying to the wife I wasn't upgrading. Didn't need to from my S10+ 512GB.
Then found an old email with the discount code and it was ordered... Discount code expired 15/02 so it was fate....

Well worth it for that price. I've currently got the Galaxy Fold, so not sure if I'll enjoy the S20 Ultra more or not.
Anyways just managed to preorder from Curry's, I've never used Curry's to Preorder before so not sure what they're like. Got an email saying I'll get the phone on the 28th of February, which is clearly rubbish on their part.

Has anyone recently ordered the Ultra from Samsung? The dates are now back to the 28th March

They will be coming direct from Samsung, I know from previous S10 order from them. So be interesting to see if we get them early like some other direct orders have been doing in US. Be nice to have it Friday for weekend.

Just to let you know a significant number of Samsung phones are being dispatched from the main networks and Samsung this Sunday...

EE advised me that the 13th is the official launch for them, not sure if that's nationwide but I'd imagine so judging by what the CS for EE reacted like when I said people have already got the device.

pretty pi$$ed at Vodafone right now i pre ordered the ultra on 12th feb which a week later i found had been cancelled apparently fraudulent activity on my account ? I didn't get any notification that this had happened from them so there wasn't any
i had only called to ask if it would be much difference in price between the 128gb and the 512gb i told them i would have a think and call back later that day but when i did they said they would have to cancel everything and start over so i told them i will stick with the 128gb
found a week out later they just cancelled everything with this alleged fraud crap ? i replaced the order on 19th feb all good so far
got a text today saying 2 week delay so called them today to be basically told its Because i ordered on 19th wtaf?
the first agent i spoke too didn't even mention the attempt fraud just said they had no reason it was cancelled and basically suck it up its delayed from the order on 19th your in a second batch ? not happy with this i went back to customer complaints to be then told all about the suspected fraud that the first agent neglected to even tell me about even though i wasted 35 minutes trying to get an answer why i got my order cancelled in the first place?
the last agent informed me of what had gone on and then went on to say Samsung have delayed the 512gb in the uk or have limited numbers for the uk of the 512gb so its the 128gb or nothing for the Ultra at the minute and EVERYONE who pre ordered from Vodafone are getting this 2 week delay from release date of 13th ??

Preordered 128gb Note 20 Ultra and Galaxy Watch 3 direct from Samsung (educational discount) a few minutes after preorders opened up. Shows right now shipping on the 19th with estimated delivery of the 21st. This is the first time I haven't ordered through T-Mobile (RIP JOD).

With last years note samsung shipped out a few days before T-Mobile. My biggest reason for going direct to Samsung though is that I wanted the Galaxy Watch 3 and didn't want to wait for the phone to arrive before ordering the Watch 3 with the $200 discount.

yeah blah blah blah me too - ordered on day one like all of us impatient blokes and should ship on the 19th here in the US through fedex. the note 10+ shipped right along schedule as it was anticipated last year so hopefully the shutdown won't cause any MAJOR delay in shipping...

128 Bronze, Watch 3, Buds Live (both black) and a case. Nothing has shipped yet, seems on my invoice all will ship "by" 19th and est delivery on 21st.

Pre ordered my 512Gb black as soon as it was possible. Got a military discount of $108.75, not much but better than nothing. Didn't do a trade in, just paid for it all. About the 4th or 5th one I've ordered direct from Sammy, the others I ordered the T-Mobile variant but I got the unlocked one this time. Less bloat to get rid of and from what I've read it will have wifi calling and volte, only thing missing is video calling and I always disable it via adb anyway. Hopefully will ship before the 19th, don't know but fingers crossed.

128 bronze through TMobile. I have the galaxy buds plus. Thinking about the live. They seem more comfortable I guess. Also does anyone know if you can use an Xbox controller on the note for gamepass? Probably a silly question since you can use it on iOS for apple arcade.

I ordered Verizon Note 20 Ultra 128 GB Mystic White and used my credit on the White Bud lives. Phone and buds have a ship date of Aug 19 but my email states phone will arrive on Aug 21 and buds on Aug 24.. Not sure why that is when both items are on the same invoice and I ordered the day before pre-order opened because of my reservation

Same boat as alphamega. Ordered the verizon N20U, 128gb, bronze, through samsung the day before official release. Shop App says everything is shipping by the 19th, but online it says the phone gets here on the 21st, and the case and buds/uv/charger get here on the 24th. Who knows, I'd guess it'll all change by the time things start moving from warehouses.

Ordered 128gb white with buds live and a case. I wanted to wait to see the watch 3 review before ordering, I will trade in my gear s3 to get $100 off.

This is the first time I also order through Samsung. The JOD plan was asking too much as a down. I did it for the Note 10+ but no way I'm going to do a $550 down payment on it. Like some have said, hopefully we don't see any shipping delays.

Unfortunately, jod does ask for large down payments for new devices. I guess that's what happens the more expensive these things get

I ordered bronze 128gb with the galaxy buds. Would have ordered different accessories, but it looked like it was charging an extra $50 for them. Got an email later saying they would credit me the $50 but it’s too late to change the order now. Bought from Sammy nearly every year. Note 7 I think shipped a week early. Wish that was the case this time around. Using my daughter’s crappy old iPhone since my son lost his phone a couple of weeks ago. Kids...

I have a friend who has been working there for a while and they feel it's a way to get people off the plans as they can just increase the monthly payment for it. The program was not really sustainable but it was a way to bring customers in. At one point, they had told their reps not to offer the JOD plans unless the customers asked for it. But I knew from the beginning it wasn't going to last.
