My samsung s7 has a software update but i get a pop up message "the server has reached its daily download limit. Try again later or go to smart switch on your pc to update your device. I try to update via my pc but smart switch is not updating my phone. I'm based in the UK my phone is on the Three network but on unlimited wifi connection at home and that is where I am now.
Hi I am new to this community and forums in general I don't see any reply and I really would like to see if anyone has solved this issue because I am getting the same exact response with my s21 ultra 5g I tried on wifi network and cellular network but I am seeing the same pkp up when I try and do my software update. I also tried updating my firmware on wifi home camera app and I am told my connection was not strong enough so I downloaded a data and wifi analyzer and it shows upload download and ping test were all in a excellent status so I'm not sure why this message is shown and preventing me drop updating my phone software and my security camera firmware please someone help. Thanks any help would be great

Hi, my 8525 suddenly can't use WIFI. It do show the icon on top of screen indicating that I am connected to a hot spot. But when I open IE, I can't open any web page. I can do it hours ago, and that time I visit gmail.com, download its application to MIDlet and then use WIFI to check my mail box. Also I visit Ebuddy.com and download and setup its application. Both of them run okay. But when I turn on the phone tonight. WIFI doesn't work well. IE just keeps locating... and gives no response for a long time and finally tells me "The Page cannot be displayed or download because the connection was lost." I want to know what happens and what I can do to solve this problem.
In addition: Now I unlock both SIM and Supper CID using this webpage's guide:
http://www.windowsmobilecool.com/2008/08/how-to-unlock-your-htc-tytn-aka-hermes/
But I don't know how to check whether I already have unlocked Super CID? I try a T-Mobile SIM and it works well. So at least it is SIM Unlocked now.
often it's enough just to pull the plug from the wifi router for 10sec
happens with all wifi routers think it's their dhcp which get confused but mobile device
because I dont get the same problem with laptops and desktops connecting with wifi
another thing which could fix it would be the update the router with the latests firmware
as they fix bugs with newer wifi devices once in awhile and then release new firmware for their routers
Thanks Rudegar, I solved this problem last night. The problem is caused by an application I use on my phone. China Mobile Fetion. Since China is a country forbid the WIFI function on phones officially sold there, some software application from Chinese companies and programmers set GPRS as their default connection method, and I mistakenly choose let this software setting the connection function automatically and it just adjust all program's default connection as CM GPRS. After delete all GPRS settings on phone, the WIFI works well.

Anyone having issues with Kies tonight I keep getting the message well trying to check for firmware.
No Response from server
Please check if you internet connection is activated and try again..
never-mind its back up looks like their sever was down for a bit...... its back up now.
Same problem here, only it never connects. Only way i can check for updates is through mobile AP. I'm using 1.5.0 and windows 7 32 bit. Checking for Kies updates is working fine, go figure....
I believe it is something to do with your either your pc or router/modem firewall setup. I do have the same problem when I try in my office which has firewall setup.
But then when I back to home, I can connect through KIES to check the firmware update.
Cheers!
Hmmm - I've even created Firewall exceptions for all the Kies executables, but I'm still getting the "no response from server" nonsense.
Anyone got any ideas?
Your PC/Router has nothing to deal with that. it depends on your ISP/****ty samsung's servers.
Hmmm. But it worked last week!
...and now it works all of a sudden again.
Hmmm
Its likely just Samsung's server down for updating... or has to much traffic.
im getting this no response from server...... Am i doing something wrong or is it that the samsung server is really down. My galaxy s phone is connected to kies (as icon appears on top of screen)......

I'm always getting this error... today, 1st time I got my phone, etc... what should I check?
Any idea ??
I would also like to know if someone have any idea about this
Got my galaxy s yesterday and I'm trying to update via kies but I keep getting this no response from server error
My kies is the latest version available
Sent from my GT-I9000 using XDA App
well... I don't know the cause but I've found a workaround.
I first disabled my LAN connection, then connect to the internet using tethering on my phone (using WiFi Mobile AP). I opened the "firmware upgrade" and he found a new version. Before clicking "next", I disabled the WiFi and reenabled the LAN to download the firmware. Everything did work fine and I didn't use too much of Mobile Data.
ps help
i was using reg patcher until yesterday............everything was working fine
yesterday i did reinstalled kies, then after i'm unable to connect to samsung server, its repeatedly displaying no response from server while running firmware upgrade(it displays this message immediately without even checking from server) while other internet bound apps r working properly
i did reinstalled kies several times but the problem is persisting.......but on another system its working without any issues...
pls help
This is the problem that i am getting.. Wifi connected No internet... please some one help me.. is it modem related problem ?

I have a similar issue
S7 connects to WiFi but can not use any co sections through apps
The browser works though.
It only happens on my bt home hub WiFi .
Bt says there is no fault on the line (other devices connect fine)
Samsung says the phone is fine
The issue is seemingly the s7 and Google have an issue with ipv6
But at start when i bought my s7 edge..i had no such problem... wil there be any solution
I had this problem too after nougat update but at the end it was a router configuration problem.
So whats the router configuration...kindly share some steps
What if i go back to marshmallow ? Wil it be safe ?
This is also a problem I have been getting in the last week or so. I have had the phone over a year. Not sure if it could be a recent update that is causing this?
Mine started 3 weeks ago. I didn't update anything on the phone or router.
Will it be good to go back to android 6.0? Will it be safe?
Check your time on your phone. Sounds dumb but if it's not set to the right time, your Internet won't load.
also smart switch could be the problem.
I've had an issue a few times, when wifi turned off and was trying to connect again, but smart switch foocked up wifi.
try disabling all weird features in wifi settings
time is set and no smart switch problem also.... what should i do now
I also have a Pixel C and I get this issue on that as well so it's not just s7 edge related.
Oh thats strange that even Pixel phone also has this problem... what wil be the solution
I get the notification from Google about making your connection secure. I used to accept it. Now when I forget the connection and get offered it again I refuse. This seems to be working for me.
I am also experiencing this problem after the nougat update and after the March security update. The WiFi notification gets the exclamation point and I have to cycle connection. I have changed nothing and I have verified nothing has changed in my settings. No other brands of phone or tablet in the house are experiencing this problem.

Did you get the notification from Google about securing your Wifi network? If you accepted then forget the network, rejoin and the reject the offer in the future. It worked for me.

Nope, never got that notification. Tried forgetting and then reconnecting, no notification, and still WiFi sporadically says no internet when connected.
Hey,
I recently got a used Lenovo A7600-F tablet from my office because they weren't using it anyways.
Everything seems to work perfectly fine - except the wifi connection.
Code:
Model: Lenovo A7600-F
Android: 4.4.2 (no further update available for that model)
Kernel: 3.4.67
Build: A7600F_A442_000_029_150401_ROW
Here is the thing:
I disable/enable wifi
I click my home network and enter the password
Nothing happens for ~2 seconds
"Failed to connect to network" (no "connecting" or similar)
To make sure my WPA2 security isn't the problem, I made an unprotected hotspot on my phone. Absolutely identical problem.
One thing I noticed: The tablet is able to find all the networks around me and updates their signal strength in the list without any problems. As soon as I try to connect to one, it takes around 2 seconds until it says "Failed to connect to network". If I then try again, the message pops up instantly with no delay for all networks. From that moment on, the list also stops updating and can't be refreshed until I turn my wifi off and on again.
I downloaded "Wifi Analyzer" and I can see all the networks' strength values moving. I can close the app, do something else or go to standby and come back to see the values still updating. But as soon as I try to connect to a network, it will give that error again, stop updating the list in the wifi section and Wifi Analyzer will not be able to find any more signals. If I close that app and bring it back up now, the list of networks will remain empty. Same with the networklist on the wifi settings. Turning wifi off and on again resets the whole thing.
In short: My tablet sees all networks around me and updates them, but gives an error ("Failed to connect to network") as soon as I try to connect. Then no more wifi updates until i disable/enable it again.
Factory reset did not help, I let the battery drain and charged it back up - no success! I also tried an app called "Wifi Ruler", which was mentioned to fix a similar problem in a post I found on another forum. Connecting through that has exactly the same effect.
Does anybody have an idea about what is going wrong and what else I could try to fix this?
Hi all,
I've been having an issue when trying to update the software on my S10+. I'm currently on ASDB update and have been since late May / early June. Every time I try to check for the newer update it takes roughly 5-10 minutes to check and then displays the the message in the attached screenshot... Any help is greatly appreciated.View attachment 4788945

I'm really surprised no one else has had an issue with this or has any idea what could be the issue..?

Try to update manually via odin, it might be a CSC mismatch between the original CSC and the one on your phone now (assumption). Anyway, download frija (link on the s10+ forum) and download the latest update for your model (snapdragon/exynos), unzip and flash with odin. Hope this helps.
I have the same problem. Not only my phone but orther samsung's phone or tablet. I guess it causes by the Network or Router somehow.
The solution is, you turn off Wifi, using DATA mode only, check for update, if there is an update, turn off DATA and turn on Wifi again to download.
For other devices, turn on Hot-pot mode to let other devices connect internet via your DATA mode. Turn off immediately when it's downloading the update.
Good luck.

I don't use a data plan on it but I got it hooked up to hotspot from my main phone and it worked near instantly. Thanks for the tip
