Did anyone manage to get notifications out of Secure Folder (aka Knox) onto a WearOS device?
Expected behavior: notifications from an app installed in Secure Folder are forwarded to the WearOS watch.
Actual behavior: notifications don't get forwarded.
My gear: Samsung Galaxy S8, Fossil Sport smartwatch, both running current stock software (no root).

My corporate exchange server has a PIN or password security policy enforced. Do the previews still show up or do you have to unlock the phone first, thereby defeating the purpose.
I'm using Good Technology on my Galaxy S4 and indeed have a enforced Password which is a real pain in the a..
I had exactly the same question before I got my smartwatch and I went for it anyway. I have to tell you that it's even way better now !
I see my notifications (before I was not able because of the lockscreen password) and I can even place a call without putting the password if you do it via the watch.
So got for it !
Hi, my corporate email client on android is using airwatch inbox. is there anyway to get the mail notifications appear on my android wear watch? any advise is deeply appreciated.
thanks in advance.
Currently AirWatch Inbox does not support Android Wear notifications. I think no AirWatch app does this.
I would suggest to speak to your AirWatch admin, who is generally someone in IT, and he can raise a feature request to AirWatch.
I am also using Airwatch Inbox on my corporate phone and I briefly have paired my Gear 2 (running AW 1.3) with the phone.
Inbox produces normal notifications on the phone, hence they are showing on the watch.
But as far as I have seen, not the whole email text is showing (like it doesn with Gmail).
But there were notifications and a small text.
So yeah, it should also work for you.
Today I have bought myself a second hand Moto 360 and set it up on a new Galaxy S5 Neo (new company phone with Airwatch Inbox installed).
Without doing anything special, I already get the Airwatch notifications on my Moto 360, but only (as said before) the body of the email.
Not the complete text of the email.
So, I just got this Smartwatch and I'm having a lot of troubles getting it correctly sync with my Redmi Note 2. I've download the apps, Mediatek SmartDevice , FundoWear and BT notifications..
And I've enabled notifications and went to Accessibility and enabled the apps. Then I connect it via BT and I can see my contacts and make calls on the watch. But there are no notifications, the health stuff does not sync and if I press "Messaging" it says failed to sync and Remote Notifier says "failed to sync, please reconnect from the remote device".
Mediatek SamartDevice is stuck on "Connecting..." although it lets me chose which of my phone apps have the notifications enabled
What should I do?
I have a Galaxy S6 Edge Plus, running on Android 7.0 (Nougat) which was recently updated from Marshmallow.
The problem I have is with push notifications, whilst I can get notifications, for example with Gmail, AquaMail, Outlook, Messenger, WhatsApp etc., all these work perfectly well.
However, when I use, for example, BBC News, Euronews, DW (Deutsche Welle), RT (Russia Today), France 24 etc., no push notifications come through, despite all the app having push notifications selected.
In addition, all the apps have notifications "allowed" and also in settings / apps / special access / optimise battery usage, these apps have been added to those not optimized.
Also I have used a Push Notification Tester, from Google Play https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.firstrowria.pushnotificationtester&hl=en which says the phone can receive push notifications without any problems.
If anyone can assist me with this (I did not have a problem before updating to Nougat), I will be eternally grateful!
Hi guys, happy new year. I had a quick question.
On the Samsung Galaxy S10+ running Stock Android 12, One UI 4.0, is it possible using Dual Messenger for the Whatsapp app to have 1 account running in Secure Folder?
I have 2 Whatsapp accounts, personal and work, but want the work account only to operate from the Secure Folder.
If this is possible can someone kindly explain to to enable this please?
Currently i have Dual Messenger enabled for Whatsapp and running 2 accounts on my device. Also i have Secure Folder enabled and set up.
Thank you very much.
Why do you even want it to operate from the secure folder? If you care about security then put a passcode on your whatsapp and file manager. Im pretty sure you can't do what you're trying to do, but I dont have much experience with newer samsung devices anyways, so maybe it's better to wait for more replies.
(The image below is 5years old and for an iPhone, but it still applies today as you can't find anythng online regarding moving the whatsapp media folder to another location)
Now that I think about it though, you might be able to root your phone and move the folder, but im not sure if it would move both account's data to a secure folder. Also, rooting your phone kinda defeats the purpose of a folder with security anyways. Also, if you manage to put the media for one account into a secure folder without affecting the other, whatsapp probably wouldnt be able to access the data anyways. Best bet is for you to put a passcode/pattern on your phone, or on your apps specifically using 3rd party software.
Is there a decent 3rd party whatsapp app? Any suggestions?

Personally, I wouldn't take risks with malware, getting your account stolen or possibly violating TOS.
It is ok to install whatsapp in scure folder.
So far NO issue for past 1year+ having
Dual Whatsapp + 1 in secure folder + 1 Whatsapp Web = Total 4Acc
Sometimes moving around 4Acc in one time, with same speed.. With Out hanging
