hello Guys, i have a galaxy note 3 sm-n900 on my hand right now, the problem is that i have no data, unknown baseband and no imei (Null/Null)......is there any solution ??? thank you...
In normal case all this missing comes from factory, if you need help from others you must explain how this happened, what rom you are using etc etc

May be your imei data was corrupt.
Did you make backup for the EFS data?
If so just restore it.
i have the same issue with a friends phone, no EFS backup, he won't tell what he did to the phone but now imei is null/null and doesn't have a baseband, anyway to fix it?

similar problem
I have a sm-n900 exynos and I have lost my imei and baseband during a Samsung flash. I have a TWRP backup, efs.img backup by dr.ketan's backup tool but nothing is able to restore my efs. I have scanned emmc blocks for bricked blocks and all blocks come back as non-corrupted. may be the partition is corrupted .how do I erase my efs partition to rebuild it. I have tired to flash PIT from ODIN but that too doesn't work.
tried this post http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2567133&page=36
but need a guide to identify the partitions and how to rebuild them. by any chance anyone know if I could extract twrp backup to files to restore efs or from efs.img so I can use the nv_data.bin, since tried restoring the backups and it didn't restore I feel the partition might be corrupt and hence not being re-written. so might be I have to rebuild the partitions by formatting as explained in this thread. but I don't know exactly the steps for exynos variant. I tried using terminal on twrp but mkef2 command shows mmbcblkp03 doesn't exist which as I have read in posts is the efs partition on this phone and reboots to twrp recovery. and mmbcblkp12 show filesystem too small and reboots to twrp recovery
weird thing is, i sometimes find the imei and the baseband and sometimes i dont, phone's not rooted yet, trying to find a way to root it without trippong knox since is not mine, but maybe im able to recover the efs i hope it works
Same problem here...
Hey guys, I'm experiencing the same problem since i installed VN kit kat rom. I searched for the efs backup and i found it but when i use odin to flash it it doesn't work. I tried flashing back to stock but that doesn't work. Can soneone please help me?
Fixed it!!!
If you have a n900 and your imei is null and your baseband is unknown all you have to do is to flash the file beneath with cwm recovery and voila!

HI just one question my friend has the exact same problem (IMEI null/null) baseband is unkown !!! the device is SM-N900 running 4.4.2 right now he flashed the file but the problem still exist !!! pleeeeeeeeease help !!
this file only works if the device is running official 4.3 ??? or we can flash it on stock 4.4.2 !!!
it seems wiered to me that others on this forum flashed the file and it worked with them !!!!!
pleeeeeeease help
You can still flash it if you have 4.4.2. The file i uploaded to be flashed is just to flash the baseband not the rom itself.
Btw did you flash the file with cwm recovery?

That s due to a modem you update so go back to original modem. ..
Ohw ok.... When i flashed the file my sim card got the read the first time i restarted my phone. I don't get why it doesn't work for your friend. What you can try to do is to download (google) other basebands for n900 and try to see if those work (it doesn't necessarily have to be 4.4.2 cuz i flashed the same 4.3 file on my 4.4.2 phone and it worked). If that doesn't work you can try to flash a stock rom and then flash a baseband ( while still in recovery mode), try the one i uploaded. just be sure to have a backup of the current rom if the stock one doesn't seem to be solution.
Maybe start with these :

There is no simple way to enter the IMEI manually.
After flashing stock rom, try to reflash the modem (baseband) 1 or 2 times more.
Does the baseband stick after flashing? Check the Baseband Version with Phone INFO ★Samsung★ app (under FIRMWARE INFO section).

As you can see in the screenshots, your baseband is null so you have to flash the modem or the stock firmware again.
The screenshot shows your original CSC is KSA (Saudi Arabia). Try to download this stock firmware and flash again.
Open Phone INFO ★Samsung★ app > Menu > 'Firmware Browser' > enter KSA into the CSC textbox > tap Go button to search for the firmware.

1. should I flash a specific stock rom for sm-n900 (how I can determine which one because I have lost the original information)
2. should I try to clear EFS with odin ( when try to flash modem).
3. should I try a custom rom that make sense for this kind of problems ( help to choose !!!).
4. should I apply an update a zip file from CWM mode ( which file should I Use)
5. Is there any ADB command that can batch my IMEI.
6. Is it useful to take EFS backup from another note 3 sm-n900 (what I have to do after that).

Hello,
I have a note 4 SM-N910F and I'm from Belgium.
I have upgraded succesfully my note to 5.01 with a Netherlands firmware N910FXXU1BOC3_N910FTPD1BOC1_TPD. However in this firmware the APN for ZiGGO was hardcoded and I couldn't remove it.
In the mean time a new 5.01 for Belgium has become available N910FXXU1BOC5_N910FPRO1BOC1_PRO. But when I try to flash my note with Odin 3.09 I always end up with an error being hidden.img to big and an EXT4 size fail error. Then I need to flash back to the previous firmware to make it work again.
I redownloaded the firmware to make sure (MD5 was correct) and tried to erase the Note before flashing but with the same flashing error.
Any suggestions ?
Thank you

Make sure you are using the latest ODIN version, which is 3.10.6 and run ODIN as administrator.
I'm using latest Odin in administrator mode but with same result (hidden file failed size too big ext4 error). I see in the forum lot's of people face the same problem and they solve it by integrating it with a new PIT file in Odin. However I can't find the correct PIT file for this one..

Did you find how solve your problem?
Because I have the same problem like you. The only different that my note4 have region code BTU.
I was able to find online a PIT file for the note 4. I used this to flash the new rom and this worked perfectly.
Could you give me a link to this PIT file ?
Note 3 SM-N900 IMEI null Baseband unknown
Android 5.0
Firmware N900XXUEBOE3_N900ODDEBOB2_N900DDUEBOB1 (India)
How did the problem start? – my kid was playing some game in the phone and when I got it back I noticed the problem. It wasn’t because of flashing custom ROM or rooting. It could be due to firmware upgrade as upgrading was set on automatic but not sure.
What all have I done to solve the problem?
1. Rooted the phone and checked EFS folder. The EFS folder did not have .nv_data.bak file. And I don’t have backup of pre-problem EFS folder.
2. Downloaded stock firmware, extracted the modem file (bin) and flashed it, both with odin and cwm. Didn’t help.
3. Downloaded and flashed with odin stock firmware Android 4.4.2 N900XXUENI1_N900ODDENF1_N900DDUENG1_HOME.tar.md5 AND also N900XXUENG1_N900ODDENF1_INU. Didn’t help.
4. With each of the above stock firmware I flashed the following modem files:-
(1) N900_XXUDNA1_MODEM_CWM
(2) N900_XXUENE1_MODEM_CWM
(3) N900_XXUENF2_MODEM_CWM
(4) N900_XXUENG1_MODEM
(5) N900_XXUBMI2_MODEM_CWM
Didn’t work.
5. Used EFS Tool Samsung N7100 900 to back up EFS folder of a working Note 3 SM-N900 and restored the backedup folder to my phone – didn’t work.
6. Tried GSII_Repair app (both with my own EFS folder and my friends EFS folder. – didn’t work.
7. Tried to install xposed to use imei changer app. But xposed did not install as it is not yet compatible with Android SDK version 21 or processor architecture armeabi-v7a.
8. Tried Kies firmware upgrade and initialization, SM-N900 does not support initialization.
9. Tried secret code and got to Service Mode. But service mode is like a blank page of a lined book – no options shown.
10. And I tried factory reset with each of the above firmwares. Did Factory reset and wipe cache partition before flashing new firmware – didn’t work. Then tried it after flashing – didn’t work.
11. Also tried *#197328640# or *#*#197328640#*#* both didn’t work.
12. Tried fix mentioned in - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2507403
13. used advice in http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=52408318&postcount=87. now my phone is running Android 4.3 but imei null and baseband version unknown persists.
Can’t afford a new phone. Could somebody please help? And I hate 13 of anything,

I'll do as you suggest but I have a question. Once I delete dev/block/mmcblk0p3 won't I need to replace it with an uncorrupted file? Doesn't the phone need dev/block/mmcblk0p3 for it to work?
It should be regenerated after reboot, assuming the block has corrupted and unable to write the efs/imei. I'm not sure if it should be the same for N900.
The guide is for old firmware and for N9005. If efs block isn't the issue, it won't work then. It worked for a very few people though. If you have nothing else to try ....
There is also a thread by mirek on solving softbrick/imei issue just a few topics away.

Hello every one
I have bought a Note 4 " SM-N910f " from ebay and when I tried to root it ,I have found that the version of the bootloader belong to another Note 4 (910p).
about device
Model Num: SM-N910F
Android Ver: 5.1.1
Baseband V: N910FXXU1COH4
Build Num: DONGCHAO.A929
CpuZ
model : Samsung Galaxy Note 4 (SM-N910F)
Bootloader :N910PVPU4COG5
Kernel Ver: 3.10.40-5303209(N910PVPU4COG5)
Build Num: DONGCHAO.A929
Odin mode
product name : SM-N910P
current binary: samsung officiel
system status : officiel
reactivation lock off
Knox warranty void : 0x0
the ticket on the back also show the same thing as ''About device''
but when I cheket my IMEI in ""imei.info"" it tell me that my phone is a galaxy s6 edge !!!!
the same IMEI in both (back ticket & software (#*06#))
so what should I do?
because I can't root neither flash a new firmware
Can I relace the bootloader by the one of N910f ?
(I have only try to flash the firmware of N910f ,I did not try n910p firmware's because I am afraid if I succeed I'll finish with locked network phone)
thanks a lot
have same problem. did you succeed to resolve the issue?
I realised that someone has been changing "Sprint Note 4" to look like the international version.
so I decide to install the latest stock rom ( downloaded from sammobile)
Now I am so glad because I didn't get any problem.
I don't Know how but a Note 4(n910c) IMEI was restored not an IMEI of n910p according to "Imei.info"
Hotspot and Network unlocked including LTE
Hi, I am having the same problem as you.
Can you please give me the rom that you used? And which odin version did you use?
thanks.
what version is the modem? when the moden is from n910p too then its a n910p spoofed as n910f. that can be done by changing backcover and mount a sim reader and it works like n910f. so you have a n910p mainboard in it with changed imei with jtag box

Do this only if your bootloader is a N910P**** (Use CPU-Z to check it, you can download it from the market)
You must have a least 60%
You should remove your SIM card
I've used the latest rom from this link.
http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/download/60440/N910PVPU4COJ6_N910PSPT4COJ6_SPR/
I assume that you've already installed Samsung driver
and that you have the latest version of odin v3.10.7 and that you're familiar on how to use it
but before you proceed you have to :
1- Instal a custom recovery (Twrp)
http://forum.xda-developers.com/not...nt/tool-utility-twrp-2-8-1-0-teamwin-t2915591
2- boot into TWRP
3-in advanced wipe dalvik cache
4-wipe data/factory reset
5-Format /cache
6-Format /system

what version is the modem? when the moden is from n910p too then its a n910p spoofed as n910f. that can be done by changing backcover and mount a sim reader and it works like n910f. so you have a n910p mainboard in it with changed imei with jtag box

Hi.
So how to I get the phone to work? It is in a bootloop when switched on and I cannot go into recovery mode since the phone restarts itself when I try to do so. However I have access to download mode.
Also how do I check the version of the modem?

Do this only if your bootloader is a N910P**** (Use CPU-Z to check it, you can download it from the market)
You must have a least 60%
You should remove your SIM card
I've used the latest rom from this link.
http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/download/60440/N910PVPU4COJ6_N910PSPT4COJ6_SPR/
I assume that you've already installed Samsung driver
and that you have the latest version of odin v3.10.7 and that you're familiar on how to use it
but before you proceed you have to :
1- Instal a custom recovery (Twrp)
http://forum.xda-developers.com/not...nt/tool-utility-twrp-2-8-1-0-teamwin-t2915591
2- boot into TWRP
3-in advanced wipe dalvik cache
4-wipe data/factory reset
5-Format /cache
6-Format /system
7-Format /Data
8-go to advanced and reboot to download mode
9-flash the downloaded rom

hello, how do I make sure if my bootloader is a N910P? I cannot download CPU-Z on the phone since the phone is in a bootloop and not switching on.
Before I had the problem, it was written SM-N910F in the about device of the phone. In download mode, it is written N910p and at the back of the phone it is written Sm-N915F.
If you can access the download mode, you simply flash the custom recovery and follow the instructions
you can get it working by flashing n910p rom with odin (download it from sammobile) after that i can say you how to get it again full working with a n910f rom so that you dont have anymore any sprint apps on it

after flashing sprint odin rom install twrp recovery fot it. after that download any rom for n910f and flash it with twrp and then flash a kernel for n910p and it will boot without sprint apks. so you have now n910f rom an no more sprint things
