phone flashes htc logo (old) for a millisecond and powers off. I had twrp on there. I then use fastboot oem lock. This then happened
now I got into download mode but I have no Idea what RUU to flash. Mine is a international single sim. Please help!
nothing works
tried to flash:
unlock_code.bin (again)
boot.img
recovery.img
twrp.img (again)
firmware.zip
RUU BTW my phone is htc_32
always ends with bootloader isn't unlocked or S-On is preventing be from doing so
I also tried to format (blocked by S-On)
and reset (blocked by S-ON)

btw if you have the same problem the key combo is volume up and down and power at the same time
Hi,
if you're able to access the phone via fastboot, you can try the following method:

I used the guide on this site,
I don't know what I did wrong, but now it just hangs on the screen shown below.
Any help, guidance, words of wisdom, or berating would be awesome.
Pull the battery. Hold the volume down button on the phone and put the battery back in and power it on (while still holding the button). Select recovery and see what happens. . . Cross your fingers, pray to Allah, etc.
how far did you get in the rooting process? were you able to install amon_ra's recovery image yet? also can you get into fastboot mode or recovery mode?

i got the bootloader unlocked.....not 100% sure that the root through fastboot was fully completed. Tried flashing amon_ra's recovery image and got the error message:
"downloading 'recovery.img'...failed <remote: not allow>"

It's the oem unlock that will allow you to flash the recovery image, not root.
Sounds like it's not quite unlocked although you have the unlock boot image (which is odd).
Have you tried doing the oem unlock again and then tried to reflash the recovery image?

Yeah, I tried the whole process (the oem unlock and superuser root) a second time and got the response: ... INFODevice was already unlocked!
OKAY
I can still boot to the bootloader and fastboot, but can do nothing more.
So I have been trying all night to flash my buddy's MyTouch 3g to Cyanogenmod 6 and have run into several issues.
1. Created golddisk and updated the bootloader
2. Flashed radio (fastboot)
3. Flashed hboot (fastboot)
4. Flashed Clockwork recovery (fastboot)
I have been able to access Clockwork and install CM 6, and google apps. After all of this, the splash sreen hangs and never loads the ROM. For some reason, I decided to update the radio again to the radio img I downloaded from Cyanogen. After radio flash the hanging splash screen happens again. So I remove the battery and try to enter the bootloader (vol down+power) and it goes staight to the splash screen. Tried to enter recovery rom, same thing. The only thing that works is trackball+power to get the blue LED. HELP!!! I would prefer not to buy him another phone. (THIS WOULD BE THE THIRD PHONE I HAVE LOADED WITH CM6. NEXUS ONE, SPRINT HERO CDMA BEING THE OTHER TWO.)
Provide this info:
All fastboot info. ALL of it.
Run this command and post the output:
Code:
fastboot getvar version-main

How can I get that information without access to the bootloader where the Comand Prompt can access fastboot?
My mistake :0)
i have ran into the same problem
this happened to me because i basically tried downgrading the radio with the one of the cyanogen website
now my phone is bricked cannot access fastboot ,
have tried this method ?
i am about to try it see if it works
forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=656798
hmm..
i feel like the goldcard method is last years root method, although i know nothing of it, i just remember it having to many steps. theunlockr.com has the way i rooted and its never done me wrong as far trouble shooting.
Hi.
i need some advice to see what can i do to get the phone working again.
case:
htc magic 32A.
ENG S-OFF H.
hboot-1.33.2005
radio.3.22.20.17.
i had cyangoenmod 6. working just fine! for several months. a couple a days ago (without installing anything new) it crashed, and now it gets stuck in the splash screen.
symptoms:
i can enter fastboot. fastboot devices lists the phone.
i can't enter recovery. fastboot boot recovery.img doesnt work, still stuck in splash screen. fastboot flash recovery.img doesnt work either.
i thought the next step would be a factory reset so i got a friend to copy the sappimg.zip on my sdcard and tried to run hboot mode, but it says NO IMAGE! when checking SAPPIMG.zip
should i use RUU? whats the procedure there?. from where i run it?. also i don't know whats the right one for my phone. i see this list: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=659403.
and fastboot getvar version-main gives me: 3.05.529.9. while CID gives BSTAR301
i dont see that exact version in the list, and the only one with that cid is 2.20.515.5 HTC Chile BrightStar/Entel. im a little confused here...
thanks for any help!.
the problem seems to be bigger. I decided to go with the RUU directly from Htc site. For my device, i gave my serial no. and downloaded the .exe for magic_brightstar. It did successfully updated everything (?), radio, hboot, recovery, system, splash....
But i start the phone and it is still stuck in the freaking init screen.
I don't understand, what else can i do?.
Can you enter the recovery now?
No. the recovery doesn't enter. still frozen.
I'm trying to have a working goldcard, but it has been a little tricky without another phone to convert the sd. I'm following what amon_ra suggested here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=548218. Because right now my hboot is locked (after running the factory RUU) and i can't run any of the flashing fastboot commands.
will post what happens...
ok the goldcard did its job, i have again eng spl with all fastboot flashing enabled. but i cant get into recovery yet, no matter what.
at this point i'm thinking on flashing the original hboot, radio and go claim the guaranty...
Any ideas before throwing the towel???
i was thinking that if it is a hardware/firmware problem, it should be possible to test via fastboot oem commands, isn't?
Download my fastboot commander from my signature (the magic version).
It has a special 32A tab.
Using the tool, flash the old combo and see if you can enter recovery afterwards.
You can also flash the new combo and give it try...
Help! "Your device is corrupt. It can't be trusted and may not work properly." (Red)
Hello,
just recently i rooted my Nexus 6p device and unlocked the bootloader, i noticed however, after rooting the device i received an error on boot up stating "Your device software can't be checked for corruption. Please lock the bootloader." (Orange), but after researching on the internet many people said that was normal due to the boot loader being unlocked...
however my concern for today is i have flashed back to the factory images of marshmallow, and am now experiencing an error on boot up that Your device is corrupt. It can't be trusted and may not work properly." i followed the exact step-by-step guide on how to unroot and lock the boot loader on the link below however am still experiencing the issue, please help it will be ever so much appreciated.

I've had that as well with mine before. The way I fixed mine was a somewhat tedious process but it did work for me. Start by downloading one of the angler images from Google, then with 7zip, decompress the .tgz which gives you a .tar. Once more will get you a folder named xxxxxx-angler. (I think it was that way but not 100% sure since I'm not at my laptop at the moment). With your phone (unlocked) in bootloader/fastboot mode, run flash-all.bat. this gets you back to a fully stock system but still has the corruption flag tripped. Run stock recovery and do a factory reset and the corruption warning should be gone and back to the "normal" screen saying please lock the bootloader.

Try doing this process manually, if you're selling it. I would infer the data doesn't matter on the device.
Depending on which OS you are on. Focus your command prompt with fast boot installed to your directory containing the stock files (unzip the image zip)
Now do the following process manually. Step by step
fastboot flash bootloader bootloader-angler-angler-xx.xx.img
fastboot reboot-bootloader
fastboot flash radio radio-angler-angler-xx.xx.img
fastboot reboot-bootloader
fastboot flash vendor vendor.img
fastboot reboot-bootloader
fastboot flash system system.img
fastboot flash boot boot.img
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
fastboot format cache
fastboot flash cache cache.img
Now, if you still get the red warning. Repeat the process and add :
fastboot format userdata
DO NOT FLASH THE USERDATA IMAGE
If this does not work, I have other suggestions.
same prob in orange..plz help bro

To flash back to stock, you have to boot into bootloader and using fastboot to flash factory image.
But hey, you're in the Nexus 6P forum, try following this guide in the Nexus 5X forum:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/nexus-5x/general/guides-how-to-guides-beginners-t3206930
I just went through this. Just unlock your bootloader with the Nexus toolkit and it'll go away that's all i did

Fastboot boot doesn't work for some reason on Huawei P8 lite. You need to flash the recovery first and then boot to it by holding vol + and power.

Download this recovery , flash it by typing "fastboot flash recovery <path>.img", after flashing reboot the phone by typing "fastboot reboot", then unplug the USB cable and hold the power button to shut the phone down. Now hold the Vol+ and power button at the same time, release the buttons when the Huawei logo appears, and you should be in TWRP.
