Upgrade RAM - CHUWI Lapbook SE - Windows 8 General

Hi guys.
I would like to open a project to increase the RAM in this beautiful CHUWI Lapbook SE that unfortunately has little RAM.
I am a technician and I can desolder the 4gb RAM to solder the 8gb.
I ask you for help to find the 8gb RAM, on AliExpress I could not find it .... the model that mounts is: 1x4GB DDR4 2400MHz running at 2133MHz (S5RG2Q20CMS?)
I would need the HD photos of the motherboard to see properly the RAM Chip with its serial number.

Any progress with that?

Extending RAM capacity for xda ??

hi
i have tryed to extend ram capacity 64 mb making double ram ic s.
i have soldered another pair of 16+16 winbond chips on existing chips.
After rebooting xda ,it does not shows 64 mb ,it is the same 32 mb.
am i doing wrong or is there another way to increase ram?
i obtained these chips from the same board.
I think the only successful solution was by pda mods, this solution is both hardware and software, the memory appears similar to an sd card but is much faster.
is there any help avalible with drivers for 64mb ram?
As far as I know the drivers are keyed to the phone that has ram chips fitted by pda mods,. The driver will not work on other phones.

S7 Edge real Ram/Storage size?

Hi
just ran CpuZ on my Exynos model and it indicates:
Total Ram 3580MB (1190 available at the time of the test)
Internal storage 24.86GB
I know about the 1000 vs 1024 story, but even with that in mind, those figures look quiet far from the numbers announced (4GB & 32GB) by Samsung???

I'd also like an explanation. I've no doubt there are 4gb of memory soldered onto the motherboard, but I'd like to know why only 3.5gb are reported available.
In 32-bit days, before Lollipop and ArmV8 architecture, devices always reported a maximum of 3.5gb available because that was all that could be used on a 32-bit system. I'm wondering if this ram reporting issue is due to some kind of 32-bit limitation on our 64-bit devices.
If anyone really knows the technical reasons for this, I'd like to understand what's going on, just to satisfy my curiosity.

Is some of the RAM reserved for the graphics chip, like a PC has system RAM and video RAM for the GPU?
Some of the RAM around 512mb is allocated to the GPU, and for the storage, 8gb is used for android system partition

[Q] 6GB/8GB smartphones ?

Like OnePlus 5
is the 8GB version = 4GB + 4GB of RAM ? or Single 8GB ?
and 6GB version, is it 2GB + 4GB ? or single 6GB ?
the qualcomm 835 page does not tell any useful-related info to this question
neither OnePlus 5 specs page
they only show:
Memory Speed
1866MHz
Memory Type
Dual-Channel
LPDDR4x
I don't understand your question... it has 6GB or 8GB of RAM, what difference does it make if it's two 4GB chips or 8GB (or four 2GB chips), or a 2GB and 4GB or a single 6GB chip (or three 2GB chips)? If you are referring to the "dual-channel" thing, then you should look into what that technology is, but it could easily be implemented in a single chip if it was specifically designed for that. Mobiles rarely use "off the shelf" components and are chips are often specifically designed for applications as needed.
This is pretty much off topic for this area anyway, probably more appropriate to ask in the OnePlus 5 group.

Any one ant to try a 4GB RAM module in their Shift?

Just looking at ebay and it appears there is a 4GB RAM module which may have the same ZIF slot as the Shift takes:
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/173017803598
Sony 1x4GB MicroDIMM Laptop Memory RAM HCMK-CA10 for Sony Vaio SVZ13EGXX series
http://cubeupload.com/im/VOD32h.png
Ahh, the chips used on it are K4B2G0846D which are DDR3. The Shift is DDR2...
... and even if it'd work, Shift would use only about 3GB.
btw: it looks like 175pin, Shift demands 214.
any cheap 2gb ram sticks out there? on ebay they are quite expensive

PROBLEM: Mother board ASUS P7P55-M & Kingstone HyperX Fury Blue 8GB DDR3 1866mhz

Hi!
I have a desktop ASUS with mother board ASUS P7P55-M and i buyed a RAM Kingstone HyperX Fury Blue 8GB DDR3 1866mhz.

What im missing here???
Please, i need some help here.

Hi the Mainboard doesnt support DDR3 1866Mhz....the following infos i have copy+paste from Asus Hp.
Memory Features
Dual-Channel DDR3 2200 (O.C.) / 1600 / 1333 / 1066 support
So the DDR3 1866Mhz isnt supportet by your Mainbord.
For example my Gigabyte FX990-UD3 Rev.4.0 does support the DDR3 HyperX Fury Blue 8GB DDR3 1866Mhz
Thats what on Gigabyte Homepage is showing
Support for DDR3 2000(O.C.)/1866/1600/1333/1066 MHz memory modules (Note 2)
you see the different...1866Mhz is listet for my Gigabyte Board.
Now you have more then 1 Option you can try to solve that issue.
1. You can try to overclock the Hyperx Fury from 1866Mhz to 2000Mhz by push the Bus-clock. What automatically push the core-clock to. So you need to change the bus, core and Ram Voltage...that requirement a matching cooling for them all
2. you can try to only overclock the RAM from 1866Mhz to 2000Mhz by setting the Ram multiplier and setting up the RAM Voltage by using special RAM cooling...the blue cooling Kit on the RAM isnt enough for any Option of overclocking ok.
3. you can try to underclock from 1866mhz to 1600mhz by screw down the multiplier. you didnt need to undervoltage for that way...it should automaticaly change the needet Voltage ok.
4. You by a Mainboard that support the HyperX Fury 1866Mhz and your integratet CPU you have build in.
But hey thats not good choise cause for 350€ you can by at mindfactory an Ryzen 5 3600 with Mainboard from Msi and 16GB DDR4 AEGIS with 3200Mhz
Why i know that...cause i take a look yesterday
@speedson i sell the RAM.
I found board spects and only accept 4GB RAM max by slot... the other P7P55 ( no M ) accept 8Gb RAM...
Thanks any way!

But Note that the CPU is important to....every CPU have a max count of supportet RAM...its max Gigabyte and max Mhz!!!
Its the best to proof it first before bying something. Cause @mindfactory for just 350€ you get CPU+Board+RAM that is an current and powerfull setup
