Hi there!. I'm having issues adding a new fingerprint with goodix FP (The process never finishes).
I attached dmesg and logcat logs.
It fixes after setting selinux to permissive (So it must be a selinux policy that's missing).
Thank for your work ^^
Cheers :highfive:
Hello! What version of twrp is needed for this? Is the 3.2.1-0 proper for it? Or it doesnt matter?

all twrp should work without issue, but if you have any issue with other twrp, please use twrp from OP
I think FDE (full disk encryption) isn't working... It says device is encrypted however the recovery doesn't ask for the encryption password and has full access to internal storage

So, I'm using this time for some time.
I've tested every feature build in this room and everything just work. This is amazing, and for that I consider this rom first bugless Oreo rom for santoni. I hope you are going official with it. I'm very grateful for your hard work on santoni. This will be my daily driver from now on. Cheers

yes, but buggy when change overlay state that you need to force reboot your device.
just in case, maybe some ppl don't know how to apply substratum themes on most custom Oreo roms.
here the steps.
1. Download substratum from Google Playstore.
2. Download any theme substratum on Google Playstore (Make sure its compatible with Oreo 8.1)
3. Open substratum and you will see theme that you've installed before then select and "build & enable" it.
4. Reboot your device.
5. after boot completed, open substratum again and select "manager". You will see everlay not enabled (with orange text).
6. select all overlay that you want then select "change overlay states" . your systemUI will restart.
if you facing blank screen after step 6, don't panic! you just need force reboot your device by pressing and holding power button until your device rebooted.
Don't forget to backup your important data first.

I can only say that Omni is way more customizable, smoother user experience and over all have smoother feeling in it. You can try both and decide what's better for you. As for me I'll stick with Omni course there's no better rom out there for me. And I tried them all.
Good battery life and less battery drain at idle.
Smooth ROM no bugs

Main Changelogs:
- Resync OmniROM sources

i'm sorry, this is not like custom kernel thread, the source come without additional feature.
but spectrum also the additional feature to ramdisk and not to kernel.
for more information about spectrum, you can check at frap129 thread:

Actually this is really good idea, good work
Less features , less bugs.
Great idea
Thanks,
Maybe this is a dumb question, but...
Is there a chance this kernel could fix these two issues?

unfortunately no
thats rom related issue, but if fingerprint not work at all maybe the problem from kernel.
for Android Auto, help ROM maintainers by report those issue with logcat, it can help much.

Fingerprint doesn't work due to a SEpolicy issue. Regarding Android Auto, I've reported the issue several times but nobody ever answered or request for logcats. I'm available to provide them. Unfortunately LOS official maintainers don't even merge fixes pushed on Gerrit.

not like that, to fix issue you will need logs, so if you found the issue don't wait maintainer to ask it.
sorry, i can't help for this.

Before asking some screenshots or complain about some or some stuffs, could you start with a simple "Hi dev, thanks for your work" ?
Is it too hard ?

Yes. First you have to install any treble supported recovery (use orangefox or official twrp 3.2.3-1) and then clean flash RR Pie. Also recommended to flash the latest firmware v046 [No need to wipe internal storage]

Ciz all pie ROMs are treble, so u have to use treble recovery like orangefox, or redwolf recovery,

I already install Official TWRP 3.2.3-1, still using RR Nougat, and latest firmware.
Can I just clean install and flash RR Pie or should I change TWRP to treble first?

thanks for the rom sir.
I somehow did not install the os
I was in los pie, according to twrp wiki, they said to always format data before switching between different android version and which I did, in orangefox recovery, then I rebooted recovery. wiped system, dalvik ,cache and data, then I flashed the reloaded os file it even did show succesfull as well and then I tried to flash gapps the error showed that no os was installed. I tried to reboot to recovery to reflash the zip apparently the recovery seemed to have been broken and thus it went to boot instead.

OTA won't be possible as it is unofficial build..
New build and changelog is updated guys...
Kindly segregate the gapps from the rom as it should be better left upon user discretion!
@arthdoshi33
Concern-One more thing, while charging phone heat up a bit though nothing to be concerned about, in another rom I had tried it was relatively less.
Disclaimer- Using initial release but used w/ gapps earlier.
Comment- I am satisfied w/ the rom and it smartly balance performance and battery consumption.
Video call by default not working.
Thank You!

Ok sure...
Next update will have Gapps as well as Non-Gapps builds..
Going to test it today, first of all thanks for your work.
I only hope it's compatible with Mi Fit and Mi Band 4, all roms i've tried besides LOS are not compatible, Mi fit says it can't find the permission to access to notifications.
Edit: So I've testing this rom for a few hours now and well... this rom has surprised me for good!, it's very smooth, good battery backup, no whatsapp problems, Mi fit and fingerprint sensor works like a charm.
Just one "problem" and I don't know if it's possible to fix this, it's more a personal prefference than a tecnical issue: Safetynet check.
I can't use Pokémon Go because of the safetynet, is there a way to pass the safetynet check?
