Phone is using Jelly Beans custom rom v5
Android Base 4.3
Baseband is: N900VVRUBMJE
I am having a serious issue where System Storage is showing less space available than there is
On ES Explorer it shows:
I have a 64GB memory card in the phone and it has 18GB free
Internally of the 32GB I have 11GB free.
However, when I go to the Storage option it shows that I only have 1.25GB free on my internal card. This number goes to 200mb when Google Drive is installed:
Applicatiuons-2.71gb
Picutres,videos 424mb
Why is there such a massive discrepancy? Anyone have any idea how I can fix this? When I open Miscellaneous files it says System Memory 28GB then Whatsapp 749MB and Canon CW 650MB. Ok lets say I delete that but where is the other 28GB? See Misc files below. It has to be reading incorrectly in someway since my file apps show a lot more data free.
Google Drive shows 832mb used - in the app it says max cache size 50mb. All I can think is that I uploaded a 800mb video file to my drive from my phone and now its downloading this. I deleted the cache but when I start the drive back up it goes back to 800mb
Hi i just noticed that my s4 even though has a 10GB phone storage partition and a 2.4GB internal storage partition actually only uses 2.4GB of it. Everytime i install something in phone memory it takes many times more space than reported in the 10GB partition. When connecting to PC in storage mode it also only shows 2.4GB but memory management says that only the phone storage is unavailable but internal memory is available.
I got an error that it storage was full and deleted a 500MB app data file which freed 4GB of space on the storage.
I have tried erasing the phone storage and iti did not work. If i cannot use the full space than i wont be able to install custom roms since they require a lot of space.
Ever since i got this phone it has not lived up to its specs. I cannot access the thermometer, humidity sensors through weather station either.
I really need help to get the phone working

ok i verified it was a fake. it beat the fake checks shown by various articles and videos until i did a factory reset and it turned into some other device running stock google android with a bit of touch ups. It was even sold at the same price as original.
What is the typical free space that I should find available in my Note 3 (32gb)? Is 25gb only normal?
It's rooted and running safestrap but otherwise is stock.
ES file explorer SD card analyst says that I have 25gb stock space available and that I'm using 8 gb for a remainder of 17gb. Is this typical? That seems like a large amount to reserve for what I assume is the system. Using the 'Drives' app I show that system is using only 2.1gb with 555 mb free. It also shows that my internal storage has two large "files" that are maybe backup partitions called "win001" and "win000".
My Nexus 4 had the latest factory image 5.1, I then rooted my device and flashed PureNexus marshmallow. Everything works as it should, except my sdcard is showing at only having about 500mb of space remaining.
I have a 16gb device, I am guessing with the rom, one twrp backup and my apps, I should still have at least 7gb of space available.
Is it possible the device has created a duplicate sd card, when browsing through my internal storage I cannot find any files would be eat up almost 16gb!!
Thanks.
Is the phone recognized as an 8 or 16 GB version on PureNexus?
Hi,
My Redmi 2 is supposed to have 8 GB internal storage.
In Settings > Storage, it reports only 5.75 GB total, 790 MB Available. Funnily, Apps take up 6.32 GB.
Using Wifi file transfer browser interface, it reports space available 0.69/5.31 GB.
I connect it to an Ubuntu machine via USB, and manage to mount the internal storage. Checking the properties give 633 MB free space, and only 1.7 GB of contents.
Where did my internal storage go ???
Using disk analyzer, the largest percentage is taken up by Tencent folder (43%), followed by DCIM (25%) and JOOX (17%). The rest are single figure percentages.
Inside Tencent, the folder taking up 93% space is sfs. Inside this are folders avatar and sns, and a coupleof files ***.00002 (total 530 MB). If I tried zipping the avatar and sns folders, the zipped files are only 25 MB in total.
Using Wechat (which owns the Tencent folder) to check its storage, it reported using 672 MB, but 4GB by "Others" and 705 MB "Left".
What is this Others???
Using Settings >> Installed Apps, it reports Wechat using only a modest 309 MB. Chrome uses 328 MB. Youtube uses 2.94GB but most of this is in the SD card.
Anyways, install apps seems to take up 5.84 GB. But 2.9 GB of these should be the Youtube data in the SD card. So the other installed apps take up about 3 GB.
Using Cleaner >> Deep Clean, there are only 10 Big Files (files bigger than 10 MB) totalling 1.1 GB. 555 MB for those ****.00002 files mentioned above.
Seems like at least 2GB is missing ??? Already a few times I had trouble installing apps because of lack of storage, after some clean up it was ok, but I think it's gonna run out again soon.

1. Settings>Storage reports only 5.75 gb total because it is the space available for the user. Rest 2.25 gb are different partitions comprising of mainly system and cache partition.
2. Ubuntu machine shows only 1.7gb of content and 633 mb free space because the rest is occupied by installed apps and it didn't show up in the Ubuntu machine.
3. So now if we do the mathematics, nothing is strange-
3gb (installed apps) + 1.7 gb contents + 0.7gb (free)+ rest(cache, etc)=5.75gb
