Hi there,
So now there is finally a way to have right-aligned clock on Pie! This has bugged me first time I booted on the new OS, having the clock left-handed was a bummer to me, all these years looking on the top-right corner of my phone on every single phone I had... Well now there's a way to change this without root!
EDIT: Install Good Lock 2019 Quick Panel Star, select Clock Position and Adjust.
OLD METHOD:
Check out K-Klock, you'll also need Substratum and here you go: install K-Klock via the K-Manager, the go to Substratum and install K-Klock overlay by selecting "Right: No Lockscreen" in the overlay's options.
Tip: add a custom color "white with 20% transparency" if you want to match battery's color, like in my screenshot.
Can you hide the carrier label on the status bar with this?

I used this https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=substratum.draco.systemmods to hide the carrier

I can't seem to find the transparency option when adding a custom color. Is it a paid option only?

No, you have a scrollbar to choose the transparency, just below the color picker. Or you can go to advanced color wheel and set the hex code by yourself (I guess #14FFFFFF)
In settings_secure there is a value called icon_blacklist which if you add stuff to it it takes away status bar icons so in android pie if you add middle_clock_position the clock will be moved to middle and if you add right_clock_position it will move to the right

The credit goes to the creator of the systemui tuner app he posted this on his telgram group
(And btw putting middle_clock_position instead of right_clock_position will put clock in middle)
So I was just trying some things in Tasker and found this can be done. If you create a task under display you'll have status bar icon. Put in the box "right_clock_position" without quotes and then run the task

With SystemUI Tuner (Beta)
Instead of going to "Status Bar" you can go to "TouchWiz" and under "Miscellaneous" there is "Clock Position"
there you can select left, middle, right
It was just updated with that yesterday.....

why should i have used photoshop?
you can do it by yourself...
first of all do a nandroid backup... just for security
install adw.launcher and launcherpro.
Select adw.launcher as home default (you can use home switcher to set it)
go to http://circle.glx.nl/ , chose the things as you want and at the Status bar notification page select "Personalize notification status bar (for HTC Desire roms only)"
select "Statusbar (text color will not be changed)" and on background put the second option putting 000000 (black) as color and chosing the transparency as your wish... I suggest to not put full transparency, cause if you open a white app (like the market) you will not see the notification... put AT LEAST 75% transparency.
example below:
choose bootanimation and use the CM6.1.0-RC framework-res.apk on the list (or load yours)
download file and flash it.
change default home with home switcher and set it to launcherpro
for make sure that all is ok, reboot your device...
i'll wait forward for your feedback
p.s.: please note this trick will work only with live wallpapers... in my screenshot i'm using Ionic Live Wallpaper...

There is an option in settings to disable the dock bar completely.
That is all i noticed.
Yeah,
Latest ADW launcher EX updates just made a complete mess of my 'hubs' style homescreens setup. I'm really pissed off.
Even if they have reverted the option to disable the now-unified dock bar with the .56 update, I still have my vertically arranged 'simple text' icons shifted-off to the right (leaving a wastelando of screen realstate to the left of the tab) and the ones I had on the right hand side are completely gone! Damn!
To top that, I had a toggle icon on my homescreen linked to the "Show/Hide ActionBar" ADW action ...and that option is now completely gone! My icon does nothing and I don't find a way to hide the top action bar where the access to the ADW settings is, for example.

Bind the Show/Hide to swipe up our down and you should be good. Also, you can readd the shortcut as a custom shortcut to launcher actions.
After you do all that just to get back to the way it used to work what benefit do you get from updating to the latest version?

I wish there was a third-party launcher that didn't feel like it was ported from a phone version. I like the built in google search and app drawer in the stock launcher and I'd really just like to be able to change the number of home screens.

Wow, I didn't realize ADW made the wallpaper look so different. Maybe try setting the wallpaper with another gallery app like quickpic? There's also a non-market app that's designed to set the Tab's wallpaper without hacking off the edges like the stock gallery does, but I forget what it's called.

PicSpeed HD Wallpapers from the Market works well with ADWLauncher EX
Hi guys.
Since the update to 4.4, which introduced the transparent nav buttons background + status bar, most screen filter (brightness overlay) applications on the market have problem of covering the bottom transparent navigation buttons.
If you have a Nexus 4, Nexus 5 or Nexus 7 with 4.4 and stock launcher or new Nova beta launcher, turn on the filter make them look like this:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
So I made my own overlay filter app to fix the bottom nav bar not being covered.
Download: Play Store: Brightness Filter
KNOWN ISSUE: All overlay filter interfere with manual apk installation via a File Manager. The work around is to disable brightness filter when you need to install an apk using a File Manager.
Changelogs:
v2.2 2014-02-07
- new application icon
v2.1 2013-12-11
-change notification icon to Android Kitkat style
v2 2013-11-26
- added opacity control when the app is launched.
- fix bug that sometimes the filter is restarted by Android system.
- remove support for older versions of Android (now support 4.1 and up) --> app is now much smaller in size
v1 2013-11-23
- initial release
Enjoy. If this helps you, rate my app 5 stars .
Tell me if you have any problem.

Works great as intended here. Cataclysm + Trinity.

Hi guys.
You asked for opacity control, now you have it.
The app is updated to have opacity slider control + I fixed a bug that caused the filter to restart.
The app is being processed in the Play Store, wait a few hours and it will be up.
For anyone who wants 50% flat screen filter without the opacity control, tell me and I will post the old version up.
Enjoy.

I can't tell. Just hope Samsung will.
One change I make to all my android devices pretty much immediately is installing a center clock mod. On my Pixel 2 XL I haven't been able to get one working without the side effect of having status icons show up on the always-on display, which is a bad idea because of burn-in potential. Today I had a thought: since it's possible to disable those icons using systemui tuner, why not just automate that process? As of now I have it working perfectly: clock centered, status icons show up on lockscreen and when the device is unlocked, while AOD looks clean as ever.

You'll need Tasker, AutoTools with WRITE_SYSTEM_SETTINGS enabled through ADB, and the Clock tweaks for O substratum module to get this working.
We're going to set up two Tasker tasks. One will fire on Event-Display Off, the other on Event-Display On. (You can alternatively use Event-Display Unlocked if you prefer no status icons on your lockscreen either.)
The first task (triggered by Display Off) checks your current icon setup, then disables all icons. It consists of three steps:
Step 1: AutoTools Secure Settings.
Configuration: Custom Setting
Setting type: secure
Name: icon_blacklist
Input type: string
Value: LEAVE BLANK
Read setting: enabled
(this reads current icon setup into a local variable)
Step 2: Variable Set
%Icon_blacklist
to
%icon_blacklist
(note capitalization. this puts current setup into a global variable for use later)
Step 3: AutoTools Secure Settings.
Configuration: Custom Setting
Setting type: secure
Name: icon_blacklist
Input type: string
Value: battery,zen,cast,wifi,alarm_clock,headset,hotspot,bluetooth,mobile,ethernet,rotate,volume,managed_profile
Read setting: disabled
(this blacklists ALL status icons)
The second task (triggered by Display On or Display Unlocked) is just one step:
AutoTools Secure Settings.
Configuration: Custom Setting
Setting type: secure
Name: icon_blacklist
Input type: string
Value: %Icon_blacklist
Read setting: disabled
(this restores your saved setup)
Obviously, you'll want to enable the center clock mod through substratum as well.
You may notice some lag in the icons appearing or disappearing; from what I've seen, icons enabling when I turn on the screen happens instantly 95% of the time, but there's sometimes a second or two delay in them disappearing when I lock the phone. Don't really see this as a problem, though - it's not like I'm looking intently at my phone right after locking it.
[Edit: it seems like lag on wake is more likely if the phone's been off for a few minutes, probably because it's waking from doze. Still, it's no more than a couple of seconds.]
If you're *really* picky, you could probably find a way to trigger these profiles on notification shade expanded/collapsed as well, seeing as there's also the glitch of the statusbar icons being visible through that new translucent shade when they shouldn't be...but I'm not going to go that far!
Or you could just use substweaks and not have the double statusbar in the first place

It's not a double status bar, it's the status bar icons staying visible on always-on display. Only one set of icons but appearing where they shouldn't. Still present with substweaks (tried it earlier today to see if an update had resolved it - no luck), as well as with the multi-mod posted in the development forum (though the dev there was making progress with it, last I checked).
You're not going to share a screenshot so we can see your results?

Yep, I used this too specifically for centre clock. Works well!

If you can tell me how to take a screenshot of the always-on display.... (I don't have another device available - I'm travelling until next month.)

Hold power and volume down buttons simultaneously for about 2 seconds.

This doesn't work on AOD because the device is "off".

Thanks, never knew that was a thing! Added screens to op.
Bump almost purely for the effort you put in to this. I may test it out and report on the delays on my device.
Thanks man!

Status bar, clock placement.

I'm sorry, I thought you were referencing a way substweaks can prevent the icons in AOD.
