Hello,
I have recently replaced the motherboard on my N910C with N910F (because it was the only one that I could find at that moment). I had to replace the camera as well because they are not compatible. I got my motherboard from Aliexpress, and it seems to be working fine. It came with some preinstalled software that was running Android 5.0.1. on PHE CSC which seems to be Spanish software. I flashed the latest Marshmallow 6.0.1. from Sammobile and its working great. But I wanted to flash Astra Dream UX ROM v.40F so I rooted the device, flashed TWRP and put the ROM on SD card, wiped everyhting (I have flashed roms before on my S4) and after successful installation, what happens is that phone constantly reboots after Samsung splash screen. It managed to get to boot animation first time after flashing, but after that, any Custom ROM that I flash installs without issues, but doesn't go further than Splash screen logo. I have tried 3 or 4 TWRP versions, but none of them seems to fix the issue. So I reflashed stock ROM using Odin and now its working fine. Any suggestion what might be the issue?

For some reason v4 of that rom won't boot for anyone without having to flash another kernel. Also, I've heard that dirty flashing over v3 works too, but I did the kernel change when I used it.
But I also flashed Nemesis N7 port v3.0 and Aurora Note 5 port v7.0, none of them booted. I used kernels provided with the ROMs.
As said previous, try to flash another kernel after flashing the ROM. You have ramkernel or flashpoint that I know of for custom ported roms.

Alright, now that my n910g is stuck with that I tried installing some nameless rom and the screen doesn't really work. I need to use Spen always even to click on the dial button.
Can you suggest any good rom for Note 4 N910g?
I really need to give my phone a fresh start as this will be my first time to flash my phone.
Please help!!
Listen, Dr. Ketan's note 5 port L12 with S6 edge features is based on android 5.1.1 Australian "COH4" baseband version. So first download and install that stock firmware having COH4 baseband version using odin. Here's the link for that: www.sammobile.com/firmwares/download/56424/N910GDTU1COH4_N910GXSA1COH4_XSA/
And after installing this, root your phone, then install CWM recovery and install dr. Ketan's L12 version rom which you have downloaded. Your phone will work fine after that.
Baseband version of your phone plays a very important role in determining which rom you can install on your phone. For example if u liked and downloaded a samsung stock modified custom rom that has baseband version say "PQR" and suppose if your phone has baseband version "XYZ" then you cannot install that rom on your phone. To install that rom you will first need to flash the stock rom of PQR baseband version in Odin. To check which baseband version your phone is running, go to (settings >> about phone/device >> baseband version). Look at the last 3 or 4 alphabets.

Did you try my method? Did it work?
Used coh4 baseband which you said. But could not find the proper root file. Please help with the root and cwm files for 910g which work. Then i will try flashing dr.ketan rom
Yes I tried, now I am using the same baseband you have mentioned which is Australian, now the touch doesn't work well but with s pen it works fine. What to do ?>

Downloaded the stock from from sammobile and my phone was able to boot successfully. But the problem is that ever since, I tried flashing twrp recovery to flash dr.ketan rom which did not work. My phone's touch is really not working well. I have enabled touches in developer options and confirm that my s-pen works fine but when I touch the phone, it gets detected 1 cm below where I actually touch. This problem might have been created when I flashed twrp recovery because that was the first time I saw this issue.
Please help how to fix this ?
Hi,
Wonder if anyone has come across this issue before. While Galaxy S5 (SM-G900F) BTU was on Lollipop, I could flash what ever custom roms I wanted. However since updating to MarshMallow 6.0.1, any custom rom I install results in constant resets on boot.
So instead of boot looping its reset looping. I can see for some reason it will not create Cache / Dalvik Cache mounts, maybe that has something to do with it, I dont know. I know I have spent hours trying to work out issue.
because of bootloader/cp. you have to flash lollipop ones if you want to intall any branch of cm. cm13 will work with MM bl/cp eventually

Every time I searched for anything with reset in it, it kept giving me bootloop threads, .
Hello guys!
I've been trying for a week to install an alternative rom on my 9515L, but I'm not getting through these issues with touch screen ..
Touch works normally on official rom, but only in it
Firstly, I installed TWRP by odin, the touch did not work on it, if installed by the app it displayed the error:
Something went wrong
Flashing recovery was unsuccessful.
Either you already have this recovery
installed or another error has
occured.Would you like to attempt
rebooting to recovery now?

So I installed clockwordmod, which worked normally
But if I chose the reboot system function, it showed something like:
Root Access Possibly Lost Fix
fix root (/system/xbin/su)
I thought it might be some problem with root, so I upgraded SuperSu and the error continued
I installed by CWM Cyano 12,13, MIUI, SlimRom, Omega (which is based on a samsung rom), and none of them worked the touch
So I thought it might be a problem with the driver, if I type *#2663# in the official lollipop rom it displays:
Firmware version
...
Phone's Touch Key FW version: 0x12
Part's Touch Key FW version: 0x12
Click to collapse
So I decided to try to install a previous version of the driver and for this I installed the official rom of kitkat, in it the driver went to version 0x10. And yet the problem continues
The Touch worked perfectly on this kitkat rom. I noticed that it works only in official roms.
Could you give me a hint of what I could do?
Sorry for bad English.
Are you sure you installed ROMs for the GT-I9515?
The only reason why the touch wouldn't work is that the ROMs and TWRP you installed are for a different model.
And I assume the GT-I9515L and GT-I9515 are the same hardware-wise.

Actually, I was installing everything for 9505, I found a version of RR for 9515 and it worked very well .. I finally managed to remove that horrible samsung rom, thank you very much!
You could safely use i9505 ROMs with kernel patch. Search on general subforum.

First of all hello to everyone!
I have quite weird problem:
I have my phone rooted and customized since day one - Installed KitKat, tried some launchers, unlocked UPSM and so on.
It ran flawlessly for nearly 4 years.
Recently, for no particular reason I decided to wipe&refresh it and maybe install some totally custom ROM.
NOW: I can install ROMS like Lineage 14.1, 15.1 or Resurrection Remix 6.0 and they run fine except (yes, You probably guessed it) they mess up baseband and IMEI.
I can still revert to original 4.4.2 stock ROM and both baseband and IMEI work fine so i'm not in any "brick panic"
The point is I still want to move to some custom ROM but can't sort out baseband-modem and IMEI problem.
I tried to flash several different modems to no avail - sometimes (totally randomly) IMEI showed up on first boot after flashing but was gone after reboot.
- On my current 4.4.2 stock, IMEI shows up correctly NO MATTER which modem version I flash (is it weird or normal or what?)
- none of modem versions work on Lineage OS nor RR
- SIM card works flawlessly on all other devices and on my current 4.4.2 ROM so it's not damaged.
Is it matter of proper custom ROM+MODEM combination or something else?
Can anyone help to sort it out?
What more information do You need?
Thanks in advance!
Flash the latest lollipop stock firmware to update your bootloader.
Yeah, meanwhile I did flash lollipop an hour ago and it works fine with IMEI and all.
Latest version I could find for my phone was Lollipop 5.0
How can I tell if bootloader is updated?
Can I Flash sole bootloader independently via Odin?

Yes you can. Go to this thread https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-note-3/general/bootloader-baseband-bl-cp-samsung-t3582504
Thank You all for help and pointing to right direction!
Taking care of proper bootloader version was the key step that sorted things out.
Now I'm enjoying superlite bloatware free 8.1 oreo with LineageOS 15.1 on great 4 yrs old device.
And it works super smooth. Way better then original 4.4.2.
Now I'm being tempted to push the limits and try 9.0 Pie with LOS 16...
Whenever flashing a stock ROM with Odin, the stock ROM includes a bootloader and modem file.
I have a galaxy note 4 exynos n910u (treltexx) with stock rom (6.0) everything works fine so i decided to install custom rom. First it was hard to find the rom for it after i found few i flashed one.
RR with twrp 3.3 after flashing phone was working like usual but when i interted the sim card it did not detect it so i tought it might be the rom what causing it then i flashed the stock with odin and sim was working fine so i flashed lineage same issue again evwn then i tought it was rom but no matter rom i try sim was not getting detected (exept stock) .
Thing i notice was there was no imei number after dialing *#06#*
So i found the new rom Note 7FE edition android 7 i gave it a try same thing no sim detected but this time i was getting IMEI number
Also my phone is N910U and showed Spark nz logo at boot and i'm in india but sim works fine on stock get 4g and everything and also when i install any rom it say N910C ony Note 7FE edition one said N910U
Is there any way to fix this issue
Any help will be appreciated
Thanks in advance

I wrote to you on the telegram channel also - the 910U has a weird modem (Intel) which has issues with the RIL (radio layer interface).
Also the developer has no phone note 4 910U so that he can test it and get logs to see errors.
As for all the peeps with this model - "It is what it is" - deal with it.

I'm not sure if this will work but you have a backup of your stock roms modem partition you could yry dirty flashing it to your custom rom. You could also use a root file manager and copy your stock roms csc files and place the in a flashable .zip and dirty flash that to your custom rom.
