Focusing problem with the rear camera - Asus ZenFone Max Pro M1 Questions & Answers

While using the camera for shooting video my rear camera doesn't focus. It's blurry. I've deleted data and cache. I reset my camera and nothing changed. This happened after the 339 update. Earlier this update I experienced focus breathing, but now it seems that the rear camera cannot focus at all while making videos.

Camera blurry problem

My nexus 6p is now about 1 month old and since yesterday i noticed my rear camera has been producing unfocused and blurry images. It also make a little cracking noise when i open the camera app or switch back to the rear camera from the front facing camera. Please help me please. I tried to clean the lens and I even buy fv camera 5 and try manual focus but it did not work. The images produces from the rear camera are now even worse than the front facing camera.

From what you describe it sounds like the VCM/AF Actuator has malfunctioned.
Try this Download Freedcam from play store
Make sure you give it permission to access camera
Settings > Api > Camera 2
Then set Focus to manual then activate Focus Peak
Then move focus wheel if you start seeing yellow higlights/ outline that means its focusing if no highlights then AF Broken.
Also try Reset Device if no go i suggest you return the device

I tried to reset but it did not work also I tried moving the wheel but no luck. I ship this unit to Vietnam which is where I'm currently living so I cannot send it back. Also the cracking noise every time I open my main camera really worried me, it does sound like something went wrong from the inside. I have been taking fine and focused image up till now. I find this happened the day after I went home raining without an umbrella or raincoat. It was a small rain and the device was not soaked in water it was just having little splash of water on it. I wondered if this was the reason
After I googled this problem there seems to be others having the same problem as me and they are sending back their devices
Hi koala . Did you send back yours too? I bought this phone about 5months back. I have the same problem. Any chance of a replacement?
Hi, Did this ever get resolved? I ordered a replacement camera module and tools to fix it myself. The repair guide is from Repair Universe. Here's the video on YouTube.

Did you update to Nougat already? I do not experience this, but it might be because I'm still on Marshmallow.

HTC M9+ Supreme Camera (Camera issue)

Hi, yesterday I purchased the M9+ Supreme camera.
It's nice device but I noticed that the camera can't focusing.
Photos are very bad. The front camera is ok, but the rear camera is not ok.
Even in manual mode the camera can not focus the item. All photos are blurred.
I made a hard reset but problem still exists.
Any idea?
very strange, fortunatly I don't have this issuee you may start thinking to send it to HTC for reparing.

Camera lens position!

I noticed my back camera lens is slightly lower than center and sometimes it moves to center.... I understand OIS must be the reason but it's unacceptable when camera is off. OIS and consequently camera slight movements must be active when you use camera!
Has anybody else noticed this?
So...do you have a real problem with the camera when taking pics ... or not?

Camera continually refocusing

The camera on my Note 4 has real problems focusing, in any light conditions. It continually focuses and refocuses, making it very difficult to press the shutter at a time when the image is actually in focus. I've wiped the lens with a micro-fibre cloth, and it looks clean. I've also tried switching metering mode to Spot, which helps a little but doesn't get rid of the problem.
Has anyone else had this problem?
Am having this issue ...am told I have to replace the camera module

focus camera

I have a j500m that does not focus the camera, I tried to change the lens and the camera, but it is still blurry, I wanted to know someone has the solution for this
