I also faced same problem once. But then I checked that the charging cable was not properly connected to the charger. It was showing about 9 hours to charge. Then I put the cable properly in the charger and it started fast charging. So please check of you have inserted cable properly into the charger. ?

i charged my 6gb variant with Mi i2 power bank on Sunday and i observed "charging rapidly".
today on Tuesday i am charging with stock charger same "charging rapidly" can be seen.
looks like my mobile is charging faster after jan update. may be faster by 20mins.

Discharging while plugged in to wall?

My nexus 4 was all fine till I flashed the r22 kernel.
My phone had about 22% battery left, so I plugged it in to wall, and I started using it at the same time
To my surprise, after 2 hours of being plugged in to wall, the battery has discharged to 19%! And I've been only using Whatsapp with lowest brightness! no heavy usage!
So I left it there to charge without using it, and it reached 95% in about 7 hours! (usually it took 2 to 3 hours)
I reverted back the kernel and the ROM and tried again, with no success! It goes through the same behavior.
Any Ideas? Is something wrong with my device?
are you using the original charger? my nexus 7 discharges while plugged in if I'm using my nexus 4 charger

Could be the cable? Im using its cable but plugged to the pc.
I am suffering from something similar since updating OTA to 4.2.2. I'm using the official charger and always charge overnight but twice in the last 6 days the device has not been fully charged in the morning. Looking at the battery graph it reached 100% in a few hours but then slowly discharged despite still being plugged in. I use the Clock Daydream in Night mode (and always have, since I got the device in November) so I'm going to disable that first and see if the problem exists. If so then I'll try a different charger. If that fails then it's factory reset time.
it is strange that after reaching 100% plugged it in to wall if i use it to listen to music or something like that still plugged to the wall it discharges to 99%.
This makes no sense to me a phone discharging while plugged to the wall
same thing's happening to me. not really that bothered but I want my phone to charge and not discharge when I play music. ;(

Yes, I've had the same experience since the OTA 4.2.2 update. Went from 8% to 1% while running nothing but XDA app at lowest brightness. Stock charger. Never had it happen before update.

That's your issue, your PC's usb only supplies 500-+ mA for charging. The nexus 4 original charger is 1.2mA.
It's the stock charger, it sucks, try re-plugging the cable several times (check in battery, if charing says "AC" instead of "USB)

Once your phone reaches 100% it stops charging even if it's still plugged in.

M3 charging time question

Hi guys. I got my own M3 device and have quite long time for charging from 1% to 100%. - 3 h 55 min (~3 h to 95% and 50 min from 95 to 100%). Are you have the same and this is a payment for a long battery life, or maybe it should be quicker? Tell me please about your experience.
You must have a problem with your charging plug, or maybe your using another charger that didn't come with your device. I only see slow charging time when I don't use the charging cable and plug that came with the device.

Usung everything brand new from the device box. So, such time is abnormal? Can anyone confirm?
UPD: But you gave me an idea. Connected it to XIAOMI's Quick Charge and time decreased to less than 3 hours.

LeEco Pro3 US ver just stop charging yesterday.

Hi,
Yesterday, I use my phone till 0% battery and shut down itself.
The charger come with phone do not charge my phone. the led come ON, sait it is charging but it stays 0% for hours.
I try to charge with my old quick charge 2, It go from 0 to 77% in 7 hours.
Do you think this is software issue or Hardware issue?
there is any test that I can do?
I just bought quick charger 3 from ANKER, hope it will replace my original charger.
thank

FYI it is really hard on your battery if you continually drain it significantly (< 20% or so). I used to do the same as you, but read several articles showing how it reduces the life of the battery. Now I usually charge around 30%. Once a month I'll let it go to 0 to make sure that it is calibrated.
You should stop draining it completely.
I can find the links discussing this if you don't believe me.
Hi,
I went to my friend house and used his LG G5 charger quick charger 3. It work great. Passing from 75% to 100% in 30min. So, I guess it was my Original wall charger that has issue.
Thank a lot for you guys help.

The leeco cable is not good at all so maybe the problem is the cable
The LeEco charger that came with my LP3 also died after using it for a couple of months. I ended up just getting another QC charger from amazon. Hopefully this is not an indication of the reliability of the phone itself.
I bought these USB-C cables (5-pack) from Amazon, they are really sturdy.
https://www.amazon.com/AUKEY-USB-C-.../B01B634WNK/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1488118508
It has a long one good for wall charger, a very short one good for PC connection, and the middle ones for car, office, etc.
Hope this is just one of those bad ones, not the quality of the phone, I gave up my One Plus 3T for this one because of the price and and this phone is like a beast=)
21s update maybe?
After 21s update mine stop charging normally. Only after I reboot the cellphone it charge again. Same with different chargers and this happen immediately after the update. In 20s was working normally.

I tried with a couple aukey chargers with QC 3.0 and no way to make it work. My temporal solution is reboot, by the way I send all my founds to LeEco, I'm waiting for a official statement.

Same problem here, after latest system update the phone will not charge when plugged into USB. A reboot will allow it to charge. Anyone having this problem should report it with the Feedback app to hopefully get exposure, this is pretty big deal on stock.
Hi,
In my case, I confirm that the problem came from cable.

Charging speed

To power up, you consume Red Bull. But your phone just needs its adaptive fast charger. Rate this thread to express how quickly the Nokia 7 Plus can charge. A higher rating indicates that it charges extremely fast.
Then, drop a comment if you have anything to add!
takes about half an hour or so as far as I can remember 8/10
Charges really fast, thanks to 18W charger. Although on cable connected to computer, very slow

From mathematical standpoint 30 mins for 0-100% is impossible with 18W charger, let me make it a bit clear
It has a 3.800mAh battery or 3.8Ah for short, which means if it had a 5v 3.8A charger it would take 1 hour if the charger and delivery system(cable+chips inside phone etc) were delivering 100% efficiency. Now 5v 3.8A is 19W charger. For half an hour we need 5v 7.6A or 38Watt.
According to Quick charge which is present in this phone it can be charged at 9v 2A or 18W, so even if the phone has 100% efficiency it would take a bit more than 1 hour to complete 0-100% but because each system can't deliver 100% efficiency calculate to 1hr and 1-20 mins give or take
P.S. half an hour, wish but ain't possible unless we have 9v 4.2A charging with 100% efficiency(or 5v 7.6A if you prefer) - Still going to get this phone soon(if price drops to my desire)
Just charged 25% to 100% took around 1 hour
I have here the test i made 100% to 11% took 6h34m SOT, charging from 11% to 49% took 25 minutes from 11% to 82% took 59 minutes, from 11% to 98% took 1h36m.

I think the last 10%( from 90 to 100} takes a big effort.
Just tested with LG V20's Fast Charger of 18W.
Fast charging works. confirmed.
But not with OnePlus 3T's Charger.
Will check the same with 5T's Charger and Update.

Yes OnePlus 3T, 5T does not work.
Also I was charging N7+ from 18% via LG V20's Charger and it got overheated and started malfunctioning. But thankfully there was a circuit breaker and protection circuit in LG's Charger which saved it. Device is working fine too. Now I am using the nokia charger provided in the box as none are working.

So that means if something happens to the current charger provided with the phone, we will have to buy a Nokia branded charger and cable or there would be issues. Hmm

I also meet this using oem cable. With nokia original cable is no issue.
I just got this device Thursday not a Dual SIM device
It charges fully in about 1hr and 30mins of charging adds quite a bit of power to the battery
if we use a PC it takes ages
is it safe to use fast charge daily?
Can we charge the device by a standard charger having 5v 1 amp rating with the USB type c cable plugged into it?

Yes, i use mine from a tablet at 5v and 1.5A. You can use any charger if it is 5v or if it is turbopower o fastcharge.
I also use my old LG's charger. 5v @1.8A. Im not really that into charging speed. One thing i noticed is that on both chargers when reaching 100% it says charged but still charges for another 15minutes before the charging icon (flash) disappears from the screen. Has anyone else noticed this?

FIXED Slow Charging + Battery Maintenance

This post can also help other phone models.
I had very slow charging issue in my Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 SD. It use to take 5-6 hours for charging from 20% to 90%. My phone is almost 3 years old as of Dec 7, 2019 with same original battery. Now read how I fixed it. First turn off the phone and clean the usb port/charging port of phone by dipping toothbrush in petrol. After 1 hour, turn the phone on. This makes sure that usb/charging port and internal parts and dried. Now install ‘Ampere’ app. Then install ‘No screen off’ by Etienne de Closmadeuc. Run No Screen off app to avoid screen off during Ampere testing. Now get all your mobile chargers and USB cables and use odd combinations and connect the phone and run Ampere for 10 min. In Ampere app, you’ll see the reading in center which fluctuates and that reading should reach to 1000-1500ma in 10 min. If this is happening then the charger and USB are best to charge this phone. If not then, buy this original Mi adapter ‘’Mi India Standard Charger 5V 2A’’ and USB Cable ‘’Anker Powerline A8133021 Micro USB Charging Cable - 6 Feet (1.8 Meters) - (White)’’ below are the links to products and I’m not a sponsored but an experimenter:
https://www.amazon.in/Mi-Original-India-Standard-Charger/dp/B078GH9T1Q/
https://www.amazon.in/Anker-Powerline-A8133021-Micro-Charging/dp/B012VZT5IO/
A new Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 phone with original cable and adapter takes 2-2.5 hours to charge from 0% to 100%. A very healthy battery tip is that you neither charge it to 100% nor you drain it to 0% . Use app Battery Charge Notifier by Utopi and set the High battery level to 80% or 90% and Low Battery Level to 20%. I’m doing this and still my battery is healthy its been 3 years almost. All I mentioned is what I did and I shared this so that it can help you. If by doing all this still charging slow problem then it’s a hardware problem you need to replace the charging board.
