I would ask in the public Mata dev group on telegram.
*Hint: when asking a dev to build something you will almost always have more luck asking for the latest version of Android. Nobody is using 7.1, most aren't using 8.X and all the dev's are on 9.0

I recently thought about it, since oneplus one got porting from oneplus x. Is it possible same for oneplus 2? If yes, I'm willing to give a try. Just need someone guidance to work under.
@nicesoni_ash @xdvs23
Isn't there a zip already available from op5 to flash on op2 and its working too. So unless you plan to fix panorma on there, go for it.

It is not be possible because of a few reasons: You would have to modifiy an already baked rom to a completely different hardware which is only possible through reverse engineering which is illegal by the way as OOS is not fully open source and you cannot simply copy their device trees. Also we do not have an official kernel source for nougat which means that further modification would be needed to even get the rom to boot.
In the end it is not worth the effort as you probably are not able to reverse engineer the code and even if you did you would end up with a buggy rom that is even harder to fix than normal custom roms. You would have more luck creating a custom rom with an OOS like skin.
I don't think it will work because OP2 latest OOS is MM while OP5 OOS is Nougat. There is a huge incompatibility (which custom roms have to deal with, that's why it works there) so that it won't work.
It might boot but you won't get anything stable.
Even though there is MM OOS for OP3, it is very different from OP2. OP3 has NFC, and the whole OS is different.
But if you still wanna try, good luck!
Apologies. I mistakenly read cam instead of rom and my replies were about that if you notice properly. So ignore my earlier replies as other users replied, I too don't think it's possible.

You can install any custom rom that has nougat and in magisk there is a module that installs all Kali nethunter features

I cant find kernel
No need Nethunter features without modified kernel

Probably, there is no custom kernel for the j320f. I have the j320m and I have otg support, I don't know yours, but I have it. And why you would need wifi injection?(I don't know what is it,so...)

I'm pretty sure I've not disabled any otg/usb stuff. So it should be like stock kernel in that regard.

can anyone build kali nethunter kernel based on latest .50 worldwide android pie build?
just use the magisk nethunter module

The module from magisk does not help, because in the kernel itself there are no necessary drivers and the phone does not accept wi-fi via OTG.
The question is relevant.
I tried to assemble the core myself, but I do not understand what is going wrong.
People, maybe someone has a ready-made assembled core?

For the H918 variant, what is the recommended kernel for Nougat? Oreo?
Not really sure where things are with development since the MK2000 thread was closed.
Thanks.

What's to develop when the phones last update was 11 months ago. The MK kernel is fine or the kernel in the alpha Rom is fine

The beta versions of the MK2000 kernel were released quite regularly up to around beta 38 and then the thread was closed on 07/04/19. Clearly, there was active development and improvements to the kernel going on well past the last software update for the phone itself. The thread was closed while the kernel was still beta and then a non-beta v2.2 was uploaded. Also, since that time, a "CLANG" version was also compiled and uploaded but other than this thread, I can find little to no details on it.

I'm just saying the developers loose interest in the device when LG themselves abandon it.
whatever worked 11 months ago or 6 months ago still works now as nothing about the phone has changed
Does anyone have a link to the CLANG-compiled version of the MK2000 kernel?

Thanks...missed that.
There is only a CLANG version for Oreo, correct? Nougat options would be original MK2000 or AO?

The clang version was never official or supported just something that was complied for personal use that they shared. There's no nougat version
