For the H918 variant, what is the recommended kernel for Nougat? Oreo?
Not really sure where things are with development since the MK2000 thread was closed.
Thanks.

What's to develop when the phones last update was 11 months ago. The MK kernel is fine or the kernel in the alpha Rom is fine

The beta versions of the MK2000 kernel were released quite regularly up to around beta 38 and then the thread was closed on 07/04/19. Clearly, there was active development and improvements to the kernel going on well past the last software update for the phone itself. The thread was closed while the kernel was still beta and then a non-beta v2.2 was uploaded. Also, since that time, a "CLANG" version was also compiled and uploaded but other than this thread, I can find little to no details on it.

I'm just saying the developers loose interest in the device when LG themselves abandon it.
whatever worked 11 months ago or 6 months ago still works now as nothing about the phone has changed
Does anyone have a link to the CLANG-compiled version of the MK2000 kernel?

There is only a CLANG version for Oreo, correct? Nougat options would be original MK2000 or AO?

The clang version was never official or supported just something that was complied for personal use that they shared. There's no nougat version

Hi, I'm seriously considering buying this phone. My thinking is to install it CM or RR. How could Xposed behave with those? Any difference between them?
Also, does Viper4Android work? Or boeffla kernel + RR?
Thanks in advance.
RR has way more options and you won't really need xposed (adblocking and youtube adway are great for xposed)
So can I use those with RR? What about Viper?
Thanks!
Viper is reported working on OOS and cm based Roms, boeffla will have a cm kernel
Sent from my ONE A2005 using Tapatalk
I think I can't use boeffla with RR or CM, it says so on the boeffla thread
Thanks for the info guys!
Not now, but it will have a cm kernel once official cm is announced, there's a closed beta boeffla kernel for cm13

When will official CM announced? Is it in progress??

RR doesn't support Xposed. CM is always a better option.

When Oneplus releases the kernel source of MM, CM will become official. Grarak is waiting a long time for it.
And that release is supposed to happen anytime soon or is it just a hope?

It will happen maybe a week later after official MM is released. I think that for next month we'll have the sources.

OK, thanks for the info.
Xposed is good & stable enough for me to stay with OOS 3 beta. When Oneplus launches official build I will dirty flash and see what happens.
Thanks, I'll do my tests and see what happens. I just wanted to know some stuff before buying.

Notes:
● These builds come pre-rooted with SuperSU 2.79 (Stable)
● Restore/Dirty flash the ROM you are using so you start out fresh and to obtain best results
● Installing any app to control kernel options, is not required and it is highly suggested to not mess around the kernel settings, just flash and worry not about anything (nothing against app devs, but that has been what my project has aimed, being worry free)

This kernel is Powerful and has great battery life.
Its on OC though.
Nice work, ill definetly try this one out.
Which app would u recommend in order to tweak kernel settings?
Or is it already well tweaked by itself?
Finally out of closed testing, here's my ROM
Features until now
Microg support
Built in user mode and without su and can potentially pass safetynet
Rootless OMS full support
Optimized very lightly for good performance and battery
Built with uber 4.9
Allows v4a to work in enforcing selinux
Fixed webview issues
Planned features
Pdesireaudio support (tricky because op3 already supports it in a different way)
I'm just waiting for some stuff pushing to git. When it's done I'll release the first public build

When I actually decide to modify the kernel, you'll see it on my github here https://github.com/anupritaisno1
For now I'm just using the stock lineage kernel without any modifications at all
I'll update the thread with sources in a few minutes
Hi !
This rom seems really interesting, but I can't find any link to the rom itself, since the link you gav earlier is a OPO rom.
So, is there any link still available for the latest version of the rom ?
Thank you ! ^^
Yes same here... There is no link for op3 but a link is for OPO (Bacon).

Well lineage os 15 can't be released before ZTE's official oreo update. If unjustified dev would do that, he would get in trouble i suppose. Its part of the policy probably.

To my knowledge, the only (unofficial) Oreo thread that is currently active is @NFound 's AOSPExtended one. He has published AOSPExtended, RR and AICP Oreo ROMs with a lot of happy users. I am holding off as I need encryption to work as well as dual-sim and it is not clear yet that they do.

Yes, nfound made an oreo rom. But that one is not from official oreo sources by zte. Only unjustified dev has them. And because lineage os 15 is based on official firmware and kernel sources by zte (since they made them available to LOS team), he has to wait until zte releases oreo themselves before he can publish lineage os 15. At least thats how i think it is. I dont know the contract or policy rules for that

Hi guys,
I wanted to try out a new ROM for my device and so, I'm asking you: which are the best ROMs for our device? I know that there are a lot of GSI and other devices compatible ROMs, but which are them? I'm afraid of flashing something uncompatible and causing bootloop, that is a bit hard to face since it's my primary and only device, and for this I'm asking you.
What I need: no great bugs (it will be my daily ROM), smooth feel (I'm kind of obsessed by things like this, call me a fool, but THAT feel is half of the beauty of a ROM imho, lol) and Pie-Based with all the gestures (maybe Google Now in the launcher, but I don't know if this is possible mantaining the gestures).
I hope I'm not asking something that is impossible and thanks in advance for everyone who will answer!
I'd recommend the openkirin RR rom, it's oreo but it's stable as hell and made for kirin chipsets.
