[Q] CM11 bugs and solutions

Hello,
yesterday I installed the last nightly snapshot of CM11 on my LG G2 but I noticed the following problems. I hope you could suggest me a solution for them.
During a call, the proximity sensor detect my face and turn off the screen. But when I finish the call or simply when I move the phone away from the ear, the screen remain OFF and I need to double tap to wake it up. I don't think this is an expected behavior.
When I receive an email or SMS/Hangouts, the notification sound looks to be fragmented. The sound starts, then interrupts for some milliseconds and then start again. This is annoying.
No radio nor IR in the ROM. I know, I'm on AOSP kernel, but I really guess that a custom rom for a specific device have to carry on ALL hardware features itself, without to flash or to modify further.
Apart this, CM11 is a GREAT rom.
Can you help me to solve my problems with CM11?

I also suffer from issue #1 and issue #2 immedietely after a phone call ends. The normal tap sound becomes a buzz sound but goes away in less than 30 seconds.

Note 2 other party can't hear me during call

I only decided to flash my Note 2 phone with version 4.45 because I had problem with data connection (phone doesn't turn data on when WiFi is turned off or after switching air plane mode off).
Now, about half of the calls I make result in the other party not hearing me. This is quite random but usually the first call is OK. Subsequent calls are a consistent failure. Usually receiving a call is OK but if I then make a call afterwards, the other person can't hear me even if they call back.
This is so annoying so I hope someone can help.

Your best bet for help would be in your device forum since that device is not officially supported.
This would be a device specific issue not particularly related to the core of the ROM.

Paranoid rom voice failed
Hi I have had this problem as well, the data connection does not cause this to happen, but with any android custom rom from cyanogenmod source 4.4.2 to 4.4.4, the problem is that the kernel is from the cyanogenmed source tree so if you can find and then flash a non caffinated cyanogenmod kernel the dialer and the voice should function correctly. Or update to a new lollipop rom as the dialer and sound is working right. The actual reason for the sound problem is in the file itself that controls the sound routing, example ( the sound file contains numbers for routing to in-call speaker) if routing number or file structure for file is corrupt= no in-call speaker because the default file has a routing text that has been mis-writtin by cm. it would be like this
"in-call speaker ui"
in the etc folder under mixer paths.xml or snd soc msm fusion2x3. these files need to be corrected as they have a space or something where it shouldn't be causing the routing for in-call ui speaker to be off instead of on ( volume ) "67.5 " or this without the space between the comma and the 67.5 or this is fixed= "67.5" one of these mistakes is what I believe is breaking #All#kitkat cyanogenmod based roms. So find the correct file structure from an old rom that works right as it will have the same sound file across versions for your device the file stay's the same and can be copied and pasted into your paranoid roms etc folder before installing the rom with a file manager. Phone Audio routing to Bluetooth crashes device.

I am having a bit of issues right now with my XT1687
Current Rom: AOKP 7.1.2
OpenGApps: Dec 30 2017 Stock [Updated to Apr 01 2018 Stock by Google Play]
Roms where this issue has happened: LineageOS Nougat, AOKP, Slim, Tesla
I've been having issues for about 3 days now where the dialer crashes when routing call to and from bluetooth. Like hanging the call freezes up the phone and reboots or making a call while bluetooth headset is paired crashes phone app, call goes thru, but no UI is present and other side cannot hear me nor I can hear them. Without bluetooth headset there's no issue.
I tried rolling back to earlier versions of the before mentioned Roms, and GApps but it still happens. Now I havent updated to Oreo 8.x because of the same issue, BT Audio Routing in call is not available on Oreo for Potter.

I'm trying to upload LogCat but even logcat crashes when trying to export. Does anyone has the same issue? Is there any light someone can shed to me? Thanks in advance.

In this update, intelligent protection of energy consumption has disappeared, after installing c.29 and formatting the phone, any solution?

After update to c29 , I can't hide apps by app lock settings.
No hided app appears by dialing access number which I decided.
Are someone same as me ?

the navigation auto hide feature is missing
also gestures gives error of talkback being ON and it doesnt work!

Maybe the vendor firmware part ...

I found this update to be really nice, it now allows you to use split screen when you have a third party launcher as default, and battery improves overall. Quite happy with the update

Guys how is your battery life here? I feel like I get a little bit worse battery life than on c28, especially in standby time (with AOD on).

Volume keeps raising itself

I have a rooted OnePlus 8 pro on 11.in11aa with XxX module installed.
Ever since I reinstalled XxX, whenever I watch a video of listen to any kind of sound the phone automatically raises the volume to it's max level .I turn it down manually and a second later it raises back to its highest point . Maybe it's because I installed arise on it?
Also I keep getting update notifications that I can't seem to download , hut the volume issue is killing me .

Try disabling Arise. If that doesn't work, try disabling any other sound mod you have. I've not had an issue with sound with xXx Mod before.
