Phone Audio routing to Bluetooth crashes device. - Moto G5 Plus Questions & Answers

Hey guys,
I am having a bit of issues right now with my XT1687
Current Rom: AOKP 7.1.2
OpenGApps: Dec 30 2017 Stock [Updated to Apr 01 2018 Stock by Google Play]
Roms where this issue has happened: LineageOS Nougat, AOKP, Slim, Tesla
I've been having issues for about 3 days now where the dialer crashes when routing call to and from bluetooth. Like hanging the call freezes up the phone and reboots or making a call while bluetooth headset is paired crashes phone app, call goes thru, but no UI is present and other side cannot hear me nor I can hear them. Without bluetooth headset there's no issue.
I tried rolling back to earlier versions of the before mentioned Roms, and GApps but it still happens. Now I havent updated to Oreo 8.x because of the same issue, BT Audio Routing in call is not available on Oreo for Potter.
Google Phone : 18.0.187698947
I'm trying to upload LogCat but even logcat crashes when trying to export. Does anyone has the same issue? Is there any light someone can shed to me? Thanks in advance.

Issues in Hyperdrive 18

Where do I report the bugs in Hyperdrive. I installed it yesterday on my AT&T with NC1 build safestrap v3.72 and I found a lot of bugs related to calling. Sometimes my mic doesn't work, sometimes my call crashes, but i am still on call. i can't dial voicemail because its taking the call as an international call. sometimes i cannot call back to the person because the number is +xxx-xxx-xxxx. I don't know if anybody even faced the issue. Please suggest me a working ROM. I am frustrated because i my calls are very unstable.
Is there anyone who is facing issues in this current ROM ?
I am planning to switch back to stock android because this is so buggy with calls. I cannot hear anything from the other person though the call is active. My mic doesn't work. Is there a stable version of a Custom ROM, that i can install ?
tweaks

LG G2 - Sound distortion after phone call

Hi,
I searched many threads for my problem and I saw it mentioned in a few places, but there was no solution.
I've flashed the latest nightly build of omnirom (20 Jan - but this happend to me on older builds, from november, december). As it requires, I also flashed a JB modem (or modified kk - tried both). But, when I use any jb/modified kk modems, after any phone call, the speaker sound becomes very distorted for a random period of time (sometimes a few seconds, sometimes until screen lock/unlock, sometimes even after screen lock/unlock). All sounds are distorted (system, notifications ..). This happens only after phone calls.
When I tryed with an original KK modem this problem does not appear, but then the ROM does not work properly (no auto rotation). I can also mention that this problem does not appear if I use the headset, only when on speaker.
Has anyone encountered this problem? This happens for me with other ROMs too (CM11, CM12 (there are official nightlies), SlimKat), but on others not (like Paranoid, LiquidSmooth). Also, this problem does not appear on Stock rom (maybe because there an unmodified KK modem is used?).
Thanks.
Same issue here. I only use hangouts and it happens on my CM12 or CM11 based ROMS. Sound distortion throughout system until I lock/unlock or change sound settings (raise/lower volume).
I've seen a few ROM developers say it was a bug in their ROM they're trying to fix but I've never seen any working solutions as of yet. I hope someone can figure out what the issue if. I may have to go back to stock if this is the case :/

Have you guys tried CM12.1?

Hi, I've heard that Umi Zero now has CM 12.1, which is based on Android 5.1. Any one has tried it yet?
No not yet. But should no longer have the wireless bug. Otherwise the old version was already running so well.

Tried, result is:
- sometimes system reboots but not more than stock 3.10 - acceptable,
- after two/three calls, you can not hear the caller and caller can not hear you, only reboot helps (installing c-apps doesn't help) - not acceptable,
- the gain of microphone or speaker volume leads situation the caller can hear own echo that disturb and not possible to change it - not acceptable.
Finally, the current CM12.1 is good when you use UMI ZERO as tablet but not phone.
So back to stock 3.10 for now.
Same result as Hawix tried to solve sound problems in several ways... got no success! Hope someone fix this!

Nobody can hear me in calls

Hello,
My mic is somehow broken only in calls. Recording audio with 3rd party apps works flawlessly, but when someone calls me he can only hear me when I turn on loudspeaker mode. Can I try to fix it flashing some other baseband or modem?
I'm on 7.0.1 CM, international d802. It occurs since android 6.0 CM, long time ago.
Thanks!

Microphone issues on LineageOS 17.1

Hi folks,
I'm kinda new to the Mod community. A few days ago I successfully flashed to LineageOS 17.1 to receive security patches and get rid of the google services. Phone runs smoothly and nicely. Now there is just one annoying issue: Whenever I activate the loudspeaker in a voice call the call receiver doesn't understand me anymore. It seems like the microphone gets super silent. This happens in apps like Threema and WhatsApp.
Regular calls and voice recording work without any issues.
What have I tried so far to solve the issue:
Editing build.prop with commands I found on the internet
Activating different sound fixes using Magisk modules
Re-installing chat apps
Am I the only one with this problem? Do you have any other suggestions?
Greetings,
O.

I've noticed this issue when downloading or using the google dialer app. If I use the android default dialer there is no issue.. Let me know if you found a fix in the end.

same issue in Lineageos 17.1
Hi,
I have same microphone issues in phone calls and voice calls in whatsapp. This also happens during a video recording in Essential camera or Gcam app.
But the sound of the microphone is good in the tape recorder application included with lineageos.
This is a bug that the essential team had fixed but which is present in lineageos since android 10.
Please report issue on https://gitlab.com/LineageOS/issues/android/-/issues/2209#note_378544829 , this will allow the information to be passed to lineageos developers.
Thanks
Still no fix? Microphone on loudspeaker still doesn't work at all in voice chat apps like WhatsApp. Also the microphone quality without loudspeaker is very underwhelming. Call partner are complaining constantly
Do we know how the Essential devs fixed the problem after android 10 update?
bump...
still with problems :C
I've tweaked around with several XML-files. Still no fix for me. Voice calls (WhatsApp, Telegram, ...) with loudspeaker on are still not working.
In the meantime several other people out there confirmed the error on GitLab:
https://gitlab.com/LineageOS/issues/android/-/issues/2209
But it seems like the critical mass is not yet reached
I've loudspeaker but work weird, microphone don't work or work very low, my problem is mainly can't lower the volume on videocall.
Could this problem be something out of lineageos? Like something missing of base ph1 system?
