Struggling with gboard on this phone - OnePlus 6T Questions & Answers

Am I just not used to such a small chin coming from the pixel 2 XL or what? I really struggle sometimes. I force closed and reset gboard earlier because I was hitting the letter k and it kept hitting c. I performed in LED screen test and everything seemed fine so I reset the app and had no issues but still struggling a little bit, maybe just not used to it, thoughts, tips?
PS The voice keyboard on this is garbage to I assume it's the microphone maybe not quite being is good.

It works fine for me and speech to text is on par with my prior devices. Sorry, not sure what is causing your issues.

Keyboard lag

Does anyone else experience extreme keyboard lag? Even on my old Galaxy Nexus it wasn't this atrocious. Have yet to try another keyboard.
Sometimes when it lags this horrible repeating happens and words words are repeated multiple times. I think think it think it has think it has something to do with the auto correct lagging behind. See?

you could try resetting settings see what what happens happens
Haha I appreciate the response and the humor. I tried clearing the data for for the keyboard but I'm still running into the same problem. The only way that I can get around it is to slow down my typing speed. Annoying.
I tried using the Google Google keyboard Google keyboard as Google keyboard as well Google keyboard as well and encountered the same results.
Argh!

Haha it seems to have gone away on its own. Not sure why or how, but it's gone. I did notice that CPU spiked during those instances but I wasn't able to put my finger on what was causing that.

Haptic feedback randomly stops working until reboot

Randomly my haptic feedback stops and won't come back until I reboot. Anyone else have this issue?
Yes. It's annoying. Don't understand why. Also my apps well randomly not be available. I have to uninstall and reinstall. Super frustrating

Mine all of a sudden went super weak. I have it turned up all the way in the settings. Not sure what's going on.

I feel like Samsung phones are RPG based and they only have a certain amount of points to use so they take the IR Blaster and add the SD slot back, they add water resistance and locked the boot loader. Why can't they just give without taking?

This happens to me as well. Is this a software issue? I have an international version, though.

Anyone have touchscreen sensitivity issues when typing?

I am on the APD3 of Canadian version. I have noticed of late when using google keyboard that some of my keypresses are not getting registered unless I press forcefully. Not sure if this is due to the update making screen less sensitive?
A software bug? or is it from the screen protector. Am using a TPU style but have had it on for some time and never had this issue on the original firmware.
This and Android system being between 15-20% I am about ready to downgrade.........
I have similar problems especially when typing. I think it will be fixed over time

LG G6 Vibration stopped.

I seemed to have this issue with an old V10 but I thought maybe after 2 years the motor just got old. This phone is still new and I have lost all vibration function. Has this happened to anyone else yet or does anyone know if there is something I can do to confirm a defect/fix?
Have you used Smart Doctor app to diagnose and see if it picks up anything?

I'm looking for that app and only finding things for human health...do you know the company name?
Are your sure it's not an setting or something software related? If a factory reset does not resolve then you likely have an hardware problem. I had a hardware issue on my G5 like that. Motor didn't work for weeks, then one day I dropped it worked fine ever since.

Lucky you. I wish mine breaks I hate the vibrator in Android phones. They all feel so cheap. I want it gone when unlocking the phone too but I can't. It makes the phone feel cheaper than it looks with its poor vibrator feel (and sound).
Happened to me last night, LG G600S

Yes. Or at least I believe so as when battery saver engages the finger print sensor also stops providing vibration feedback.

launch lg g6 (LG-H871 rev 1.0) - opening weekend. Vibrate function completely died yesterday.
Using vibrate app to test - no results on manual press. shaking the phone yielded no results. Gonna get a replacement.
Glad to know Im not the only one getting this issue
Did you manage to find a solution? Mine just started doing the same. Vibration stopped, checked with vibration test apps, booted in safe mode, factory reset and nothing. I'd rather not send the phone for repair and warranty is out of the question.
Damn I'm not happy to see this thread. Mine seemed to have stopped today. Not sure why or how. I'm gonna have to do some digging and see what's going on
Mine just started the same thing. No vibration at all!
Same issue here. Vibration stopped working, no way to get it to work again.
Mine also has stopped. No feedback from the keyboard, fingerprint sensor or vibration from calls/texts.
I plan on reaching out to LG today to see what I can figure out.
Anybody have any luck on finding a fix yet?
Can you guys please also share your model number- European, US, single or dual sim, bootloader unlocked or not, rooted or not, any particular action after which vibration stopped working.
Thanks in advance.
I know that this is really going to help anyone, but someone on Reddit had the same problem, then it started working again.

Only Three Three Touches Being Registered

All phone these days allow ten touches at once. The 8Pro only seems to allow three. Anyone else want to check this? It's making typing difficult and laggy. What's going on with this?
