Can the experts explain this one or sugest a solution???tryed to flash the new rom on to my beloved xda......the rom was the latest "1933.18533_Thingonaspring.ROM.v3.2" but when running the flash the strange messaged showed up......error flashing rom...from there onwards the device is not recognised on my pc...Have tried in my laptop with the same result....any clues???
many thanks.....
long live buzzzzzz
Try to uninstall the ActiveSync, restart PC and reinstall ActiveSync again.
On your Uni, go to bootloader, will display Serial, plug in USB Cable, will display USB. Run NOID flash program to reflash your Uni.
If still can recogniced your Uni, pls try to change other USB port or other PC (Win XP).
I think I have nice paper weight
Have tryed to get the uni in boot mode but it shoes balck screen with no boot mode at all.have also tryed on my laptop but as soon as I plug it in it say device not recognised..I did try to recover from a bad flash but with no luck..
Cant think of any more solutions.........
Go to the HTC offical site and download an offical rom for Universal.Go to bootloader and get connected to your PC,no matter it is recogized or not,run the exe file you just downloaded,it will flash the rom in your device. When upgrading finished, power on ,and you may flash any rom you like to your device now.
It might useful to get a fully charged battery and to try going into bootloader mode, if that fails, then you your best bet have to send it back to your vendor to get it repaired
thats the problem.....
thats the problem...cant get the uni in bootmode....I do press light+power+reset and the screen is dead....tryed to charge the baterie just in case but the light on the uni starts to blink red and thats it.......I'm getting the impression that the uni became a paperweigth......sadly.....
I think should empty the battery, try to charge your battery over 12 hrs or borrow other people battery to test can go in to bootloader mode or not ?
If can go, try to check the USB Connection at your Activesync and than to flash, or try to uncheck the USB Connection at your Activesync and than flash.
My Uni also same like this problem before, my laptop got 2 USB port. 1st port i try the above mention, still cant recognized my Uni. So i try 2nd port, and Uni was recognized.
done it all....no joy
have done all that sugested but still no joy..I think that during the room flashing a power supply problem on the pc caused this....could it be that the uni became a paper weigh due to the room flashing ???If there was a power supply problem.....Is there anyway to recover the uni from a bad room flashing???
Hi,
looked for an answer to this problem in the forum but didn't find it, i have a stock xperia play, sim free running gingerbread 2.3.2 and i'm based in the uk and have a uk handset. My problem is although i am offered the 2.3.3 update, when i try to get it i get stuck at the preparing phone stage on pc companion software, the phone switches off then the software tells me to disconnect USB cable from pc and phone, then it tells me to check battery power level(phone is off?) is at least 50% (it is 80%)then says turn the phone off? leave for 5 seconds then plug back in whilst holding the back hardware button. After this the computer does 3 beeps (normally error noise) and i have to do this all again, don't see anyone else having problems updating? your help would be greatly appreciated.
Use SUSE! Should work just fine.
USe another computer if it doesn't work
and yes try http://www.sonyericsson.com/cws/sup...etailed/updateservice/xperia-play?cc=gb&lc=en
Before asking for help
i have narrowed it down to the computer not recognising the phone when it is off(blue light mode) i looked at device manager, says there is no driver for S1boot fastboot?
driver are on program files > sony ericsson > pc companion > driver 32/64bit
check there and install them manually
or check the pc companion in sony ericsson menu on your phone and connect your phone and press install
then install pc companion and let it do his work installing the driver.
check my mtpapp thread if you need more detail
don't clear mtpapp (your apps should be ok btw)
Tried everything now, still nothing happens after i plug in usb cable whilst holding the back button, what is actually supposed to happen after this point, i get the blue light, nothing else.

When the light goes blue, you are connected in either bootloader or recovery mode. If your device is not detected, go to device manager and install the drivers manually
Sorry double post
Are you connecting the phone via a USB hub?
If you have many usb ports on your pc being used, try to disconnect a few and plug the phone directly to your pc.
I had this same issue and it happened because my stupid logitech keyboard keeps messing with my usb drivers everytime i plug in a new USB device.
I unplugged the keyboard and the update went swiftly.
In order to enter flash mode, you ought to:
1)switch off the phone
2)remove the SIM card and sdcard (this is mandatory!),
3)remove the battery for 5 seconds, then put it on.
4)hold the Back button while you connect the device.
The device will shine with a green light. The blue light is used for the Fastboot mode, and you get that light if you:
1) Switch off the device
2) Hold the Search button (the magnifying glass one)
3) connect the device to the USB cable.
Hi all, thanks for your help but still no luck, i have tried all of the above on 2 computers, the same problem occurs, not sure what is supposed to happen when i plug the USB into the phone whilst holding the back button during update? all i get is a blue light on the phones power button. Nothing appears on the pc either??? i have done a full factory reset and tried installing drivers, is there a specific driver for entering the recovery mode on xperia play?
Sony Update Issues
http://unlockbootloader.sonyericsson.com/instructions
Note: We have seen in some forums that customers unlocking the boot loader on their phones have experienced problems when they accept a FOTA (Firmware upgrade Over The Air) update. The issue has been reproduced and we are working on a solution. For customers that have unlocked the boot loader please do not accept the Firmware upgrade OTA.
Hey
i know there are a lot of threads about the play not connecting to either but that isnt my problem, it connects to PC companion fine but when i go through the update settings it fine, it powers off my phone but then when i have to hold the back button and connect the USB i get a tripple bong (not the normal connection sound) from the pc and then nothing from either SEUS or PCC but i do get driver popup to install "S1Boot Download" but i cant find anything about a driver
i know this isnt the biggest update in the world but damn it i want it
PC is windows vista
phone current version = 3.0.1.a.0.145
New Version = 4.0.a.2.368
phone is stock
cheers
basically the issue is that i cant connect the play to the pc using the 'hold back and insert usb cable' method when i do connect i get a message asking me to install s1 download driver but this doesnt matter wether i hold back button or search button
Hello,i am trying to connect my ideos x5 to my pc (Win7/32bit) but i get 2 problems:

2)When i put my phone at purple screen (power on + vol + , vol-) and connect with pc , cant install qualcomm cmda technologies msm.Again i follow this guide http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=408105 but Windows Mobile Device Center 6.1 dont find my phone.
If you find a solution plss help me
Very strange, I've got Win7/32 as well, but didn't need the drivers to connect the phone in mass storage mode.
Can you please explain what exactly you're trying to achieve?
Are you trying to use HiSuite or just connect the phone to view it's contents?
The first option you've mentioned is for ADB interface and that only works if you've selected "USB debugging" ON.
Also, if you're trying to access the SD card contents from the PC, don't forget to activate (mount) the SD card from the phone.
The second one is not for Windows 7, is for Windows Mobile I think. I have to admit, the first time I've connected my phone in bootloader (pink screen) it failed to install that driver, but it never stopped me from exploring the Image folder contents in any way.
Cuz i dont know much from this things,The 1st one appear when i had debugging mode enabled , when it is disabled all are fine , so we are fine without debugging mode as i think and 2) The 1st time i connect my phone (purple screen) ( i wanted to install cwm recovery) image dont appear , i tried one more time now and it appeared so am fine from this too .Thnx anyway
So I have bought a L7 and when I have it the phone is not working, the seller doesnt want to take my money back so I need help with this :S!
No appears to do anything when connected to charger
No led
No vibrates
No emergency mode
When I connect it to my PC it recognizes it as QHSUSB_DLOAD, but neither KDZ or LG update program recognize it :S!!
Someone know how to reinstall OS I think is software issue but I dont know how fix it
Thanks!
Try following the instruction I got from a website.
What is 'qhsusb_dolad' ?It is the situation when you can't boot into your phone, recovery mode and any other visible interface. When you connected your phone to the PC, the LED will flash and your PC will show that they were searching for the drivers needed(win7/8) but they couldn't find .......If it is commom for you to remove the battery when the phone did not shutdown completely or when you ran into 'No-Response' , as time goes by ,it will be inevitable that you come across the 'QHSUSB_DLOAD' situation .
But from now on ,you needn't worry about that for I have found a way out.
Tools needed:
Hardware: A PC running XP and higher (win7/8 recommended) and your usb cable
Software : MIflash and MIAssistent and a certain mi update rom(It is a *.exe file---fastboot file)
Steps :
1. Install the first two softwares described above(Run as administrator) in your PC (You need to disable the enforcement of digital signature while on win8 in the advanced startup (press 7 or F7)
2.Boot into fastboot mode(you just need to do with your two buttons and usually you cann't see the interface for your screen just won't show in this situation) before connecting to PC
3.Connect you MI2/S to your PC via the usb cable and the pc will recongnise it in the device manager panel(if not, update its driver in the unknown device---qhsusb_dload)
4.Open the miflash and click fresh to load your phone's serial number
5.Flash the update rom(the self-extracted-to folder) into your phone and reboot .
Explanations:
Miassistant contains the 'qhsusb_dload' driver for any phone and it enables the PC(Miflash) to recongnise your CPU serial which is the key part of updating by wire.
Tips:
Try this with your other phone, I believe it will work ,too.
I'm supposed to just copy/paste the link.. but the protocol won't let me since I still don't have more than 10 posts. I just want to help. Try this
