I want to ask for help. I cannot seem to do a backup on twrp. It says something like this.
Backing up boot.img
Backup failed. Cleaning backup folder.
Any suggestions on fixing this?

There could be 2 main reasons. Your sd card doesn't have enough space, or sd card is unmounted during backup. Or even your storage could be encrypted

You can try, but i dont think it will help because the files itself are encrypted. So wiping internal storage + data would be your only option
Thanks man. Ill try doing it.

Thanks for your reply.
I used Miui back up. I formatted the sd card and is it possible to copy and paste the date to the new one?
i would assume it is possible providing that the folder names stayed intact and you made sure you had and ext3/4 partition for use on the card

I managed to copy and paste it. Very simple and couldn't see the folders when I installed.
I factory reset my phone and now I can't view my MicroSD card's contents. I've tried to encrypt/decrypt and it's the same pattern. They won't open on my PC either. This is so frustrating and I REALLY don't want to format my card.
Any help is appreciated.
Anyone? I really DON'T want to format my SD card.

Yes! It was encrypted months ago. I think my mistake was that I didn't DECRYPT prior to factory resetting. Do you know of any solutions?

I'm afraid there is no other solutions that I know of rather than formatting the card. The purpose of encryption is to keep you protected against device lost/stolen so it does make all the sense that the card can't be access by anybody for security reasons.

But it's the same phone with the same passcode. For future sake, you're saying I should have DECRYPTED before factory resetting, correct?
As said Geoz , the only way is to format , unfortunately .

I was trying to flash los when my phone died and then I could access my microsd card on my phone or pc. Any known solution? I tried to look up a fix but couldn't find any.
I've tried formatting but it fails and then my pc says that there's no disk in the port after a while even though it's still there.

Maybe try formatting to ext4 in TWRP? Might not fix anything at all, but is worth a shot.

Go to settings and make sure your backup folder is correct. Usually on internal storage/titaniumbackup.

I had this problem before. You need to specify the location of your backups. If on external sd card, go to preferences, backup folder location and change storage provider to document provider storage. Find your external sd card in the drop down, then select. You should then be able to have Tibu detect the folder at this point.

I had it on both the external card and internal storage but nothing
If you can not find a fix for that app, suggest you switch to MyBackup. It worked for me

Click the problems? button in Tibu, then head to the wiki. Scroll down the troubleshooting section for "External SD Card problems (This Folder is NOT Writeable)". Follow the instructions.
