Friends, how do I enable display mode loading on Always-On Display?
I had this function enabled before resetting my Galaxy S8, but I can not remember how I did it.
Thank you!

I don't have this device but, your best bet is to post this question within the following Q&A thread that's specific to your device and variants.

Good Luck!

Yeah, because this looks really kosher doesn't it?
Member for 18 months with only 4 posts to your name, and you're posting an EXE with no instructions of how to use, and no description of what it does and how it works. That's then followed up by two practically identical "Good" posts from completely new users with very similar "style" user names.
Anyone who downloads and runs this is insane, because this appears to be all kinds of wrong. I may well be paranoid, but I'd advise anyone reading this thread to steer clear unless you've a particular penchant for malware.
DO NOT DOWNLOAD THIS. THIS HAS NO CREDIBILITY.

You're absolutely right. So I checked the exe and at least it doesn't seem to be malware.
The exe is signed by www.shuame.com and originates from affiliated site www.sjroot.com - both sites seem quite legit, albeit using Google translate to interpret snippets of information.
The exe in question prompts you to connect the phone and enable USB debugging, after which it opens a root shell over ADB and correctly identifies the phone. THIS IS AS FAR AS I WENT! There is a potential for malware being delivered to the phone at this point but I think that would be an exceptionally elaborate ruse considering the established sites linked with this program. Someone else may want to check this but I need my phone for work today so I stopped short.
All seems well so far.

Hmm, these endorsements from "gmail" users (as in username) really add an air of credibility to this thread, don't they?

Hello XDA Community,
My name is Scott, I am the ASUS support specialist responsible for the Nexus 7 2012 and 2013. I am leaving this message in the Q&A section to let everyone know if you are having any issues or need support with your Nexus 7 then please feel to email me. My contact information will be found in my signature once it has been activated. For now see below.
I can only offer warranty and RMA support for customers located in North America, but I would be more than happy to assist with troubleshooting your issues regardless of where you are located.
If you are experiencing issues with a particular ROM or Kernel then I would recommend posting your questions in that thread.
If it is a hardware or stock issue then by all means ask away, I may not always check my PMs so emailing me is the best source of contact.

If you are not provided a case number please place XDA in the subject line for reference.
Thanks XDA Community!
I love to see this type of involvement with the XDA and open source community. Thank you very much Asus and Scott.
On behalf of many; Is there any way, short of replacing the main board, to recover from a corrupted bootloader?

To my knowledge, this is the only option available. There are some great minds in this community. If anyone can find a solution it will be done here.
Hi, is it possible to download and install the stock Samsung apps e.g. email, alarm clock, PDF viewer etc with LineageOS? Basically, all the default stock apps provided by Samsung.

Yes...
One such place to get them is the following website (that's has a great reputation for providing unmodified/untouched apps).
https://www.apkmirror.com/?post_type=app_release&searchtype=app&s=Samsung
Good Luck!

Thanks.
Forgot to ask: I can't remember the names of the built-in stock apps that existed on the Samsung Galaxy S5, before installing LineageOS. I don't know the names of like the (stock) PDF viewer for instance.
Is there is list of them?
Any help is greatly appreciated.

Without knowing your specific Variant, the following link provides a decent list of them...
https://www.tomsguide.com/us/samsung-galaxy-s5-guide,review-2821-2.html
... It's an article regarding Bloatware but, does provide an idea of what apps the Galaxy S5 (in general) comes with.
Good Luck!

I'm looking for the stock Samsung apps, for the S5, these ones: email, PDF reader and alarms/clock.
Please advise.
My dear fellow Lenovo Tabbers,
Would you be willing to join a Telegram Group for this device since there's very little information about Android development and general discussion about it here and everywhere else?
If yes please contact me by pm with your number so we can start the group. After a certain point a link would be provided.
Hope we can collaborate!
Cheers
Not really. We're here because we don't want to go to Telegram for a host of reasons. You can't expect immediate assistance on a device that isn't very popular and has few developers supporting it.

I'm sorry, but what's the reason for the aversion to Telegram. It is instant, not like xda that separates all the information, has a very poor search engine and everything else.
If any of you is interested let me know.

Because there's far less control over users or technology. People go to tg to get a new ROM or root method then receive no support for it when they brick, then come back to XDA to get help.
Anyone able to get viper4android fx working on rooted tb-x606f
I am restricted to use Samsung Health Monitor. Kindly help
Not sure why your are posting this in an OnePlus subforum? Maybe post in the correct one for your device.
