latest magisk instructions - Essential Phone Questions & Answers

Hey guys, I was hoping someone could point me to the latest / most efficient magisk installation instructions? I know how to do it the original way when I first got my phone, but I remember reading about a better method and a newer TWRP install process that enabled you to keep TWRP installed and still boot the phone.
Did many Google searches and used XDA search but the results were all old instructions.
I apologise in advance for those of you who are already offended by the fact that I didn't read every single post on the entire site and internet to find something I am searching for.
Thank you and I hope your new year is off to a good start

I use this guide: https://mata.readthedocs.io/en/latest/
The latest TWRP is located at https://dl.twrp.me/mata/
The latest Magisk is v18.0: https://forum.xda-developers.com/apps/magisk/official-magisk-v7-universal-systemless-t3473445

I would suggest also checking out the PH1 Dev Telegram group where you can find the TWRP and Magisk Patched Images you were talking about as well as well as other things you might find interesting. Here is the link if your interested https://t.me/EssentialPH1DEV

Thanks guys!!

Need Some Guidance, (Magisk on N & Xposed)

Hey guys, thanks for checking this out. Hopefully you clicked with the intentions of helping or possibly the answers provided will help you as well.
I have 2 questions. The first, and most important being that I am looking for an N ROM that has Magisk baked in rather than SuperSu. Reason being I play Pokemon Go. Any links would be very helpful.
Secondly, I wanted to see if there is any support for Xposed as of yet for N that I am not finding or news thereof at all.
Thank you in advance.
Xposed not yet supported on N. Go to Xposed discussion for further informations.

How to successfully unlock Redmi Note 3 SE (Kate) bootloader, and install TWRP

Hello, after owning this phone for around 3 days, I decided to unlock the bootloader, and flash TWRP. The biggest problem is that I had never owned a device similar to this, so I was new to ADB, MiFlash, and all those other different things. I've been looking a lot online, trying to find a great tutorial, and I finally found one that I believe will help a lot of Kate users. Let me start off by saying that I don't take ANY credit for this whatsoever. I found this tutorial on Xiaomi.eu forums, and I had to look very hard. That's why I am sharing it with you.
All credits go to t-ryder @ xiaomi.eu forums. His tutorial was the one that helped me successfully unlock my phones bootloader and install TWRP.
What you will need is the file that he provided which can be found here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B1cyJDH0uIykTGpOMUY1N2pENVE/view . This file contains MiFlash, ADB tools, fastboot rom, TWRP, and the file required to unlock the device. Inside, there is a .pdf file that if you follow carefully like I did, you will have an unlocked bootloader.
I am personally running Xiaomi.eu ROM now, but I am planning on trying some kenzo roms later. The most important thing is to make backups.
The tutorial is step by step, so you should have no issues. If you have any questions, feel free to ask me, I will help you as much as possible.
Hope this has helped you.
EDIT: This is his original post https://xiaomi.eu/community/threads...unlock-redmi-note-3-se-kate-bootloader.36255/
Thank you

I guess the same as here: http://forum.frandroid.com/topic/24...xiaomieu-mi-globe-cm/?page=68#comment-3709384
It's in French, open it with Chrome (for translation), posted by Kuan (click revealed hidden content). I did it few days ago for my wife phone (kate) and worked well.
However, I guess it's better because we don't have to deal with fastboot rom.
I tried it over 2 times. But not become successful

Install TWRP After Installing Lineage OS?

Hello again! Sorry for another rookie question but even though I got Lineage OS up and running on my Pixel XL and am pretty happy with it there’s one thing I’m wondering about and can’t seem to find an answer for, if I just booted TWRP (fastboot boot <image> in bootloader/fastboot mode) to install Lineage OS is it going to matter if I just install TWRP now using the steps in the Install via ADB section from the guide on this site? Basically does the order that Lineage OS and TWRP are installed in matter?
Seems like it would have been better had I installed it but the install instructions for Lineage OS I followed (from lineageos.org) just said to boot it so that’s all I did. While I haven’t read anything that says not to do this I thought I’d ask just in case.

I don't have a Google device myself but, I would think that you should be able to obtain some better guidance and support within the following Device Dedicated Area of the forum that's specific to the Google Pixel XL.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/pixel-xl
The following threads should be helpful for obtaining guidance that's specific to the Official LineageOS and TWRP for your device.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=3500312
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=3830083
If all else fails and, you don't receive any responses from the above threads, you can always try to obtain some member guidance within the following Q&A thread that's specific to your device as well.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=3489005
Good Luck!

Unless asked to do so, PLEASE don't PM me regarding support. Sent using The ClaRetoX Forum App on my Apple Macintosh.

When I posted that I was thinking more generally about if there was something about each program where the installation order would matter but you make a good point, I'll have a look through those threads and the Pixel XL forum and ask there if necessary. Thanks!

after updating through LG program, now I have an original PIE branded rom, but have no twrp nor root.
I'm searching for a guide to install twrp and root to an original and clean pie rom, but I find only old guides.
How to install twrp and root to my original pie rom? Links appreciated
Thanks

Hello!
Why did you not look at the guides section of this forum before asking - that's BASIC forum etiquette!
Please do that, there's a pinned (!) guide for unlocking the bootloader and installing twrp, so you don't even have to search.
So next time please do search and not just claim to do so (searching requires actual looking) and don't start another useless thread.
Regards
PS if you're absolutely clueless, ask in the noob friendly thread (again, pinned).

I already looked to that guides, infact I used them to install twrp and root when I was on nougat or oreo, because they are guides that were created in nougat or oreo times or, best, they clearly state for what version they're right. But reguarding android pie I have not found anything by "date" or by "clear reference to pie"... Have I been clear?

Nothing has changed, it still works, as I myself can confirm (just did it last week, when camera started freezing on me, going back from an Android 10 ROM - flashed stock Oreo via lgup, upgraded, installed twrp via fastboot, rooted, np).
But to reiterate... Why exactly didn't you ask in the corresponding thread? Sorry, but I'm a stickler for uncluttered forums.

boot.img (revovery) op6t o2 beta 35

Does anyone have the boot.img (recovery) file from the OxygenOS version op6t o2 beta 35?
This is development section of the forum.. I don't say that meaning it in a rude way at all but this is definitely posted in the wrong place. Did you search high and low first? Thereare fastboot OOS roms and there's a repo thread for global model OnePlus 6t in the guides section of the forum. Not sure if what you're looking for is there or not but I would think it's your best bet.
Searching is the biggest part of this whole Android modding deal. We all have to and do it alot. Again I'm not trying to sound like a prick. I posted a thread once and it copied itself 4 times. Searching is mandatory unless you're a wizard. Most of what any of us want to know is already here on XDA some place. It's just a matter of locating it via search. That's one thing I can say this new forum they recently redid has improved ALOT on. Searching seems more accurate now.
[OnePlus 6T (Global)][ROM][OTA][Oxygen OS] Repo of Oxygen OS Builds
As OnePlus doesn't always provide download links for all of for their Oxygen OS ROMs & OTA update zips, we mirrored them on AndroidFileHost and put the links in one post so that they're easy to find. This is not a support thread for issues you...
forum.xda-developers.com
Or
https://forums.oneplus.com/forums/OnePlus6-6T/
May have what you're looking for at one of those links. If not maybe try and roll back before this build and update to it, then you can backup your boot.img once on the build and you'll recovery/ boot.img ..
My bad if you had already searched before posting this thread. I assumed you hadn't. I looked through the fastboot rom thread, the repo thread and over on OnePlus forum for just a min and didn't see anything labeled beta 35. I didn't dig too deep but didn't see anything offhand. It doesn't mean it's not out there somewhere though. Most thing are..You know...Good luck.
