Anybody using the PixelDust GSI experiencing low media or Bluetooth volume? The Rom is flawless besides this one issue. Anybody know of a fix?

Hi, I searched but can't seem to find any other previously asked questions similar to mine.
Is anyone else experiencing this really annoying bug whereby, one would be unable to increase media volume on the N4? The Media Volume bar on the expanded volume panel is permanently on mute until I restart. Other volumes, like call and notification are working as per normal. I hope I am describing the problem adequately....
Below are the ROM and kernel I'm using. The problem seems to persist despite the kernel changes, so I think it's the ROM?
ROM: Latest CM10.1 Nightly

Right after boot, anything that is played on my device is highly distorted. Be it music, or camera shutter, the audio is loud and buzzing.
The next audio track sounds normal.
Using my own build of AOSP 7.0.0 or 7.1.1 for the Nexus 6P.
Using vendor.img that correlates to the source.
Did not install gapps.
Am I the only one seeing this issue (couldn't find similar issues)?
Any suggestions as to what may be causing this and how to solve?

I love all the customisations of LineageOS and Roms but can anyone confirm that OOS audio is just cleaner and louder?
Well one example is audio from video calls. It's weaker than OOS' sound.
What do you guys think?

Anyone else having a problem with low earpiece volume during calls? I am on EU rom and rooted wondering if anyone has a fix for this like modified vendor files etc?
