I Cant boot my phone after rom installing - OnePlus 6T Questions & Answers

Iam a bit nervous right now, I tried installing havoc rom and everything went well from the start but when I booted my phone all the folders in the phone had strange names and I could not do anything. Now twrp is gone too. Is there anyway you can install a rom from fastboot? Or is it something else I can do to save my phone?
Thanks for your help!
I fixed the problem by installing mclaren rom with fastboot

Man there are threads about this in guide news section, and by the way I don't see the point of installing McLaren on a non McLaren model. All specific esthetic features can be installed by other ways, and the latest ROM is 9.0.11 even on McLaren models

Hey guys i want to install a custom rom for my t00j-d. I searched about unlocking bootloader and things like that but i couldnt find something useful. First off all i have latest stock rom (lolipop) and its not rooted so do i have to root my device first then unlock bootloader then flash rom? And which rom is good at the moment? My priorities are battery life > performance > visual.

i have been looking around and can not find any info on what i want to do. so i am just going to ask and see if anyone can help. hope ive come to the right place.
about a year ago i purchased a blu studio 6.0 hd(d651u). it came stock with kk(4.2.2 i believe. can confirm if needed.) i pulled the stock firmware using droid tool. so i do have the original rom and scatter file. the lollipop update was available so i updated. afterwards i ran the updated rom through SuperRs rom kitchen, rooted, de-odexed, debloated... afterwards when i was theming the apks and was almost satisfied, i dropped the phone and it broke.. so i purchased another one. same make same model(d651u). only thing i see any different is that this new one came stock with the same lollipop rom that my old phone had updated to. so my question is this. can i use the stock rom and scatter file that i got from my original device to restore the device i have now in case anything goes wrong. im trying to find out if i can safely skip the whole rom pull step and jump right into getting my custom rom onto my NEW phone. i know i can use my old rom, i just wonder if i would be able to restore a brick with my original rom pull because they are the same device, just manufactured at different times. any feed back would be GREATLY appreciated. thank you

no, you should not use the backup from another phone to restore your new one. and you should post in the section for blu studioinstead of here, the info you get here might be inaccurate

Baseband Collection/ Switching Guide

I really think there should be a thread on XDA with tested methods to switch baseband as a lot of people face trouble with GPS etc on custom ROMs. Ideally we should be having a collection of TWRP flashable zips instead of having to install stock firmware via tools like Miflash and then doing everything from the beginning.
This zip from Davideavinavil is TWRP flashable and it works perfectly for me. It doesn't improve things drastically from stock Marshmallow Indian ZUI baseband but would be great for if your GPS is not working or something.
To get the baseband from latest Indian ZUI Nougat Beta follow these instructions from zukfans by Magz Heaven. Tested on my own phone which previously had the above Davideavinavil zip flashed and is now on M8996FAAAANAZM-1.76387.1.92759.1. I wiped everything TWRP then flashed this in fastboot and then went back into recovery and flashed ROM + GApps. If you want to run this in Linux open the bat file as text and use the same fastboot commands with those files in your pwd.
1. Will bootloader be locked again after flashing baseband?
2. Do I have to flash ROM after flashing baseband?
3. Does bluetooth connectivity depend on baseband?
Thx

1. Yes its possible that your bootloader gets locked after flashing. If you do it wrong and doesnt check it after first reboot you can brick your device.
2. No you dont.
3. Someone said when you only flash the NON-HELOS.bin file you can get problems with bluetooth. If its right I dont know.

Thanks for your response. Only reason i asked about bluetooth is because only ONE custom rom works for me bluetooth wise. I'm unable to connect to my cars headunit with any rom except resurrection rom. Would flashing a modem help this? my modem is 9-00026-M8996FAAAANAZM-1.63821.1

Flashing custom roms shouldnt change the baseband. Does connecting work on rr with this baseband? Do you have problems with other bluetooth devices except your car?

Sorry I probably didn't explain that the best. Flashing ROMs doesn't change my baseband but I'm wondering if changing my baseband will fix my Bluetooth problems. Yes RR works with my current baseband and my Bluetooth works with every device I've tried, on flashing to a different ROM none have worked sadly. I've tried to ask around if other people have issues but they all say their BT is working as it should haha

Stock ROM X1686 giving error in recovery

Can anyone please help me on my Moto G5 plus 4gb 32gb Indian variant. XT1686
I was on Resurction Remix rom and now back to stock POTTER_RETAIL_7.0_NPNS25.137-35-5_cid50_subsidy-DEFAULT_regulatory-DEFAULT_CFC.xml
But now everytime I flash TWRP, its flashes with signing status failure and boots up back to twrp only (not to rom).
Can anyone please let me know the exact stock firmware link for Indian variant as I want to go back to stock rom.
Also, I have flash the logo from bootloader but phone still shows the bad key logo.
Thanks in advance

How are you flashing back to stock? You should no longer have TWRP on your phone if you are doing it properly, the stock ROM must be flashed with fastboot and will over-write TWRP.
Anything more than that I can't answer unless you give us more details of what was done...

Can you post your bootloader screenshot by which you mean it is corrupt... bad key does not mean the bootloader is corrupt.
Bad key notification is normal, not an error actually
Also check your personal message.

OnePlus 5 can not be connected to any WIFI network after unbricking

Hi everyone !
I've never posted a question before on this site. I am a newbie in the rooting and flashing rom I tried to Flash a new Rom on my onePlus 5 device after rooting and unlocking bootoader. :good: Then I messed everything up and my phone was bricked :crying: Then I watched some youtube videos and finally I was able to come back to my stock rom with the unbricking tool and now I am in OxygenOS version 4.5.8 :good: But the only problem I got here is I can't connect my phone with any WIFI network Whenever I try to connect I get the "connecting" message and then the"saved"message instead of "connected" message. I would really appreciate for any kind of help .
Thanks in advance

Seems you used an old rom and have a new modem maybe. Just check out this unbrick guide which flashed 5.1.7 oxygenOS https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-5/how-to/guide-unbrick-guide-hard-bricked-t3761706
You can also just upgrade to latest oxygenOS by flashing the rom zip which also updates the modem files and everything else.

Going Back to Stock

Apologies as I can see this has been answered a few times, I just can't figure out exactly how I should do this, and I have run into problems before.
I want to go back to the best stock ROM for my UK Mi 9T. From what I've read I think it is Xiaomi.EU - is this correct?
I'm currently on Lineage. I don't know what my previous ROM was before, but last time I tried this I ended up in a reboot loop and couldn't flash due to anti rollback, so ended up flashing LineageOS again. I have a version of TWRP, I don't know which. I tried with the Mi Flash tool last time.
Could somebody tell me the best way to do this?
Many, many thanks
