Hi everybody, after the OTA update to Android Pie some functionality is gone. I'm speaking especially about the stock Oneplus launcher on my Oneplus 5.
Launcher not sending the tap action to the animated wallpaper. I'm using my own wallpaper done in KLWP. You can tap on the objects in animated wallpaper and define some actions in KLWP. But after the update this is gone. Launcher don't send the tap to the wallpaper. Any idea guys? Is there some support from Oneplus which can manage this things and contact the developers of Oneplus launcher?

You need to make sure that live wallpapers are working, permissions are all set for klwp and apply the wallpaper again from klwp app. Your issue is more related to klwp. You can also try to reinstall klwp and restore the wallpaper.

Hi, I posted this problem to KLWP developper team and we checked everything. They cannot do anything. Problem is in the Oneplus Launcher. Till yesterdays Android Pie update everything worked fine on my Oneplus 5. On Oreo I used also the original stock Android + OxygenOS and Oneplus Launcher. After the update to Pie this stopped to work. By the KLWP dev team Oneplus Launcher dont send the touch to the animated wallpaper.

Thanks for adding this useful information! You can try to use previous launcher or another one(im using Nova) like Pixel launchers which are similar to oneplus.
I contacted Oneplus Launcher team. Because I like their launcher. So I'm like bullterrier, I will bark, I will bite, I will write millions of emails, I will be their nightmare until it will be fixed

You should use the official feedback and bug tracking tool if not done already.

Hello all. Just installed omnirom on my nexus 7 flo and everything works fantastic. There is a little problem whose solution i couldnt find even after hours of searching. My right app icon in app drawer disappers everytime i reboot. It doesnt matter which app icon i put in there. Only the right icon deappears.

Device: nexus 7 2013 16gb
Firmware: omnirom 4.2.2(official)
Recovery: twrp 2.6.0
Gapps: pa gapps( stock 270 mb)

Disappearing icon
My last icon on the right also disappears. I'm using an Xperia tablet Z, SGP311.
I love the ROM. Android development is completely alien to me but when I have time I'll start over on the XDA university site. Now I just have to build one of those signatures that says what my device is and all that.

For what it's worth, this affects all users (at least on flo) and not just the primary or last accessed one.

I'm having the same problem on the Nexus 10.
Great rom apart from this minor annoyance!
FWIW, I'm using Nova Launcher on Nexus 10 with dock set to have 6 icons and I'm not having this problem. Could be an issue with a specific launcher or setting, hard to know without more information from those having the problem.
New quick settings tile editing option is great!

+1 for the Nexus 10 with the GEL Launcher. Doesn't effect Nova Launcher regardless of # of rows/columns.

Stock launcher. Ie the launcher that came when i installed omnirom. I didnt install any other launcher, but now i am considering to switch to other launcher. I have tried many free launchers before but didnt like most of them. Care to suggest a simple launcher without any annoyances(like ads and pay to unlock certain feature)??

Nova. It's brilliant. There are some features which are only available in the paid version but nothing that affects the use of the launcher.
Oh, and the disappearing icon is not an Omni problem - its a problem with the GEL itself.

+1 on Nova. I had a low-spec device a couple years ago and tried all the popular launchers at the time. Nova seemed fastest, easiest to use, and has useful features. As far as I know the free version doesn't have ads and has plenty of good features. Nova Prime has some additional gestures that can be set to open favorite apps, which I love, because I like a clean home screen.

Thanks. Im using nova launcher right now without any problems. Backups and restore is an important feature which I liked very much. What the hell is wrong with google, not fixing this bug till now
OKAY ..i Downloaded Nova launcher .. Stable Version Now when i press The home button From the apps i am using ... Nova Launcher Just Shows Wallpaper ..just the wallpaper ..No icons No Dock No Notificaion bar ..just the wallpaper and Nav Bar .few seconds later like 2 seconds everything appears ..... Does Anyone know The fix... it didnt happens on my other phone ..but my same version having issue onmy p9lite l21 ... Can someone help out ?

Have you selected it as launcher? Settings-apps-advanced-appsettings

I have the same issue. After a few days it says that nova launcher has a massive error and i cant open settings.

Is Nova set as a protected app in 'settings > advanced settings > battery manager'?
I've had similar issues with trying to install Nova on Honor 9 Lite with EMUI8. On first install I got a pop-up saying something like '...different launcher is likely to use more battery...' then adding EMUI specific widget FCs, I understand not being able to add it but why does it show up as available in Nova and then FC ? Anyway it also keeps defaulting back to the EMUI launcher every chance it gets; i.e. any little thing going wrong and you have EMUI launcher back regardless of what you set up as default launcher. I suspect Nova will put out an update for it eventually.
Does anybody know if the Pixel style weather widget on the Nova Launcher home screen works on the OnePlus 5? As far as I can tell I have everything enabled correctly but the weather won't show up. I've read that this feature doesn't work on Samsung phones. Does it also not work on the OnePlus 5 or am I missing something?

Yes I did. The option to choose to display the weather on the home page doesn't show up unless you enable it in labs first. Maybe I'm missing a permission or setting somewhere but I can't seem to find it. Are you running stock unrooted?
Restarting Nova Launcher from within Nova Settings immediately fixed the issue. ☺

My question is will I need to un install the stock launcher like the bloatware ? because I'm actually on honor play and needed to get rid of it as I had some compatibility problem with both of them installed.
I used nova fora a couple of days with the stock installed. Had no issues.

I'm on nova launcher since the 1st day of my MI 9T. I didn't uninstall stock launcher. Just installed nova, imported the settings from my previous smartphone (Oneplus One), and everything works fine.
can you tell if the stock one is still running in background with a 3rd party launcher ?

If it is, you can restrict it. Running my phone on Nova since day one, no issues at all.
settings reset
I having an issue, after some time settings which i applied like folder icon and gestures are reset, and I have to give permissions and set icons again and again.
Feel free to share your homescreen setups . I personally feel that setups look great on this AMOLED device

No , as of now there is no one ui launcher for xt
